(It would be easier to understand if there was a sign with just "senbei" on the national highway) However, if you continue on, you will reach a shop, or rather an old factory, with the sign "Aokiya Seika" at the dead end. According to social media, the factory is closed on weekends and holidays, but the senbei sales are open year-round. If the factory is closed on holidays or after hours, you can press the intercom on the house to the right of the factory to make a purchase. It is a long-established store that has been in business for 70 years. A factory direct sale hand-baked senbei shop. There was a shelf at the entrance of the factory where they were selling, and each bag was only 250 yen. Each bag contained about 15 senbei. It's cheap! I bought nori senbei and taiko senbei. It was 500 yen for 2 bags. The nori senbei is covered with plenty of green laver on white sugar. It's green laver, not black seaweed! The combination of sweet sugar and salty green laver is interesting. The taiko senbei is a senbei with peanuts. It has a reassuring deliciousness with a traditional senbei taste. In my case, I don't usually get excited about baked goods, but I really love senbei. I'm happy to have found a good senbei shop! I will definitely go back again.
