In the past, it used to be Victoria, but now it's Big Boy! I really like the drama "THE3 people" that is set in Big Boy and often rented it to watch (laughs). On a holiday night, my husband fell asleep from the evening and there was no sign of him waking up, so I wondered if I should just sleep until morning? Do I not need dinner? But then he woke up around 9 pm... He said he was hungry, so I told him that I hadn't made anything because I didn't know if he would wake up, and if I were to cook now, it would be this or that. So we ended up deciding to order delivery or eat out. It was already late and we wanted something quick and easy, and also wanted to eat vegetables, so we decided to go to a place nearby that was open late. There were about 5 couples visiting close to 10 pm. There were 2 more couples after us. My husband had the cut steak buffet set (salad bar, soup bar, rice, curry) and I had the garlic chicken steak buffet set. When there's no work, you can eat things with strong smells without worrying about the day of the week, right? (laughs) When I was in high school, I used to hang out with friends at Victoria and stay for a long time at the salad bar and drink bar, my husband said. My husband once had to ask for more rice so many times that the staff told him they were out of rice, he said. We chatted about the old days while eating salad and soup. I used to love the corn soup here, but when I tried it now, it was not as good (laughs). There were plenty of salad options. The freshness was decent. There were about 5 types of dressings, I think. My husband said they used to have a shiso dressing, but it's not there anymore!! The waiter seemed to be the only one handling the whole place, and he was quite busy moving around. There were no chopsticks at the salad bar, and even when we rang the bell, he couldn't come right away, so we apologized many times, but it couldn't be helped as he seemed busy, and we felt sorry for him. After about 10 minutes, the meat arrived. The steak looked tough and my husband said it was indeed tough. The chicken steak came with onion sauce, but the chicken itself was heavily seasoned with salt and pepper, so it was quite salty, and I didn't use the sauce at all. Since I hadn't eaten rice, I had a small amount of curry after eating the meat. You could choose between white rice and saffron rice, so I chose saffron rice. The curry was a sweet type that even children could eat, right? It was served with chili powder as well. For dessert, I had almond jelly at the dessert section of the salad bar. It was a soft and jiggly type, a common type found in buffets. Overall, the taste was just okay, I guess (・_・; However, the salad bar is appreciated by those who like vegetables, and the fact that they are open until 2 am is helpful in such situations, so I would use it again if I have the chance. I got too sleepy in the middle and it became too much of a hassle to take photos, so I didn't take any of the exterior or the salad bar area. Thank you for the meal.
