I rode my bike a bit far and came across a cake shop. The baked goods and cakes in the display case looked delicious. The cream puffs were filled with custard and were big, priced at 150 yen each, which was great. I thought about my stomach and decided to get some baked goods that I could enjoy for a few days. The staff was very friendly and I could tell that they put their heart and soul into making the cakes. They seemed to be saying, "I hope you enjoy the cakes you bought." I carefully took the cakes home, but they got a little messy on the bike ride. The cream puff with firm cream inside was exactly to my liking, so I will definitely go back to buy more. I had originally planned to buy cream puffs at another shop, but it was closed, so I stopped by this one instead. I unexpectedly found cream puffs that I really liked. The baked goods were also simple and carefully made.

There seems to be no parking at the cake shop in Shiratori Town. I bought Hina Matsuri choux pastry and others. There are tables and chairs, but it doesn't seem like a place for eating in. The pudding featured in the blue post was delicious.

When you walk down Kyoiku Dori from Teo Department Store, you will find shops along the road. There doesn't seem to be a parking lot, but it looks okay to park right in front of the shop since it's not a cafe. As soon as you enter the shop, a sweet and delightful aroma fills the air. The display case is quite diverse, and what surprised me the most was the affordable prices. There were many cakes priced around 280-320 yen, and cream puffs were being sold for 100 yen each. I ordered an eclair, a choux pastry, a mousse au fromage, a gateau chocolat, and a cassis cake. The eclair had a chocolate cream filling that was delicious, and the tart cake had a firm crust, while the cassis cake had a strong acidity. Among the ones I bought today, my favorite is either the eclair or the mousse au fromage. The taste for this price feels like a great deal. The pastry chef who served me was also very friendly, which added to the pleasant experience.

Maris is located on the corner of a side street on the right side after turning left from in front of Teo Department Store towards Goryokaku from the gas company on National Route 5. The Mousse Fromage I had was a cheesecake mousse wrapped in whipped cream on a firm tart, with beautiful red strawberries and white cream with a nice texture. The sweetness of the mousse and cream was just right and delicious. The Mont Blanc had plenty of whipped cream on top of chestnut cream, and the cream puff had a refined sweetness that was also delicious.

This restaurant on Tabelog had surprisingly few reviews. I was curious about what kind of place it was since there was only one picture. I couldn't find a parking lot, so if you're going by car, be careful where you park. The interior of the store was quite spacious, with a good variety of cakes available. I bought the classic shortcake and Mont Blanc. There were also other cakes that caught my eye. Each cake seemed to be made with care. The owner's service was very impressive. It was nice to be escorted to the entrance of the store. As for the taste, the shortcake had a thick layer of cream and a fluffy, well-structured sponge. The whipped cream was not too runny or too stiff, but just the right consistency. I prefer whipped cream that is not too soft and flows too easily. The Mont Blanc had a generous layer of cream inside. It might be a good choice for cream lovers. The shortcake made me want to eat more, like a decorative cake.

On this day, I only had a fresh cream puff for 150 yen. Convenience stores also have fresh rolls for around 150 yen. When you think about that, I think the cost performance is high. This one tastes better. However, when it comes to fresh cream puffs, I can't help but mention Hokkaro. 3 pieces for 480 yen, considering the size and quality, it's amazing. Well, I like fresh cream, so I occasionally eat them here. This time, it didn't taste as good as before. Personally, I prefer Hokkaro. Still, I think the other cakes here are about 100 yen cheaper than the famous ones in Hakodate, so it's worth it. Visit on October 23, 2012.

I was lured in by the cake feature in Hakodate's free paper "Datepa" and decided to visit this place. It is located along Kyoiku Dori, just before the Kyoiku Dai Ground, on the corner of a small alley. The shop has only one showcase and has a cozy feel to it. There was a shelf with baked goods, but there weren't many products available when I visited. A man who seemed to be the owner welcomed me with a smile. He also saw me off when I left, coming out from behind the showcase. The service was polite and pleasant. The prices for the products ranged from 100 to 300 yen, feeling more affordable than trendy cake shops. The bottom row seemed to feature seasonal items, like pumpkin pudding, which looked delicious. I tried the seasonal limited edition Kyoho grape shortcake, and my husband had the chocolate Mont Blanc. The shortcake had Kyoho grapes both inside and on top. The sponge was very fluffy and delicious with a fine texture. The grape on top was juicy, and the inside was crispy. It went well with the light cream. My husband enjoyed the rich chocolate flavor of the Mont Blanc, although he mentioned that he couldn't taste much of the Mont Blanc itself. There were many photos of character cakes displayed, which made me want to order one for my child's birthday, although I will be the one eating it since my child can't have cream yet.
