I remembered a little anniversary and hurried to buy a cake. As expected, the cakes from Fujiya are delicious. I had a white chocolate shortcake, and my companion had a Mont Blanc made with chestnuts from Kasama, Ibaraki Prefecture. I particularly like the white chocolate, as it's not overly sweet. The sponge was a bit firmer this time, though. The Mont Blanc was moist with just the right amount of sweetness. Overall, the sizes seem to have gotten significantly smaller, perhaps due to rising prices. Nevertheless, Fujiya's cakes are still delicious. After two years, I visited "Fujiya" again! I bought the "Fluffy Madeleine Milk (￥108)" and "Fluffy Madeleine Choco Milk (￥108)". I won't mention the taste as these are gifts for my family. The seasonal limited cakes looked very delicious, so I might try the limited items for takeout next time I visit! I will come back again for sure.

The day before a work deadline, I rushed to eat out. After leaving McDonald's, I saw that the cake shop was still open. It was already past 8 pm, but they were open until 9 pm. I was surprised! I tried the "Legendary Taste - Fujiya Shortcake" for 550 yen, a small round shortcake with a retro cute look. I also had the "Chiffonism" for 390 yen, a light and fluffy chiffon cake with rich chocolate cream. Lastly, I enjoyed the "Aomori Apple Pie" for 390 yen, with chunky apples and a hint of cinnamon. It was a bit pricey, but I would definitely visit again if they're open until 9 pm. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I have reviewed this place many times, but since a new menu has come out, I will review it again. Fujiya has been doing better since then and is still operating as usual. Regardless, I personally want to support them. The owner of this store is friendly and talkative, which I like. It's been a while since I last visited, but I feel comfortable here for some reason. They offer a variety of cakes to choose from, which is a rare and enjoyable experience. I hope this family-owned confectionery shop continues for a long time.

I have used this place multiple times. There was a bit of a commotion before, so I arrived late, but they were still open. I ended up buying a Mont Blanc and a lemon pie, and took them back to my apartment to try. The Mont Blanc was old-fashioned and I liked it, but those who prefer more refined desserts might want to try a different place. As for the lemon pie, I've only had the real thing once or twice before and couldn't find it around here. It was a lemon mousse with whipped cream on top, and the pie was moist. It was a bit disappointing, maybe a lemon tart would have been better? But that's just how it is at Fujiya, I guess. In the past, they had a high-end image that was hard to change, but their prices are not too high or too low, making them a casual option for Western sweets. Fujiya will always warmly watch over us.

It was raining, and autumn was slowly approaching. The previous heat felt like a lie, as the morning air was cool and refreshing. It woke me up from my sleepiness, ready to support today's activities. I decided to go for a walk from home, aiming for cream puffs, but they were sold out. So, I settled for Mont Blanc and mille-feuille on my way back. The taste was average, like convenience store level, but the variety was definitely an advantage. I also saw a cute Peko-chan doll that I want. I always think about it when passing by the store. Thank you for the meal.

On weekdays at 7:00 PM, I visited the store alone and purchased the "Strawberry Jelly Shortcake" and two macarons (vanilla and lemon) for a total of 600 yen. The cakes were delicious with a good balance of sweetness and a refreshing aftertaste. The macarons were also enjoyable, with the lemon flavor being slightly tangy and less sweet compared to the vanilla. The staff was friendly and considerate, packaging the delicate macarons in a box to prevent them from getting crushed. My family usually dislikes cakes from Fujiya for being too rich, but I decided to give it another try and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the desserts.

In October 2013, I decided to quit my job after working there for about a year. I used to work from 3 am to 6 am. For the past two months, I had been juggling this job along with another one. I commuted by bike, even in the rain and winter, but I had to quit. When I told them I was leaving, they said, "It's far, so it can't be helped... We'll be losing a valuable team member..." It made me realize that I was actually contributing something. On my last day, I went to buy sweets from a store. I had already decided to buy "Peko-chan Sablé" cookies, which are biscuits with Peko-chan's face on them. I gave them to my coworkers as a farewell gift. While I was there, I also saw some delicious-looking items in the display window - "Fresh Cream Puffs"! I bought two of those, and four "Peko-chan Cheeks" for my kids. When I got home, I tried the cream puffs - the fluffy, light cream was irresistible! Not too sweet, just delicious! The Peko-chan Cheeks disappeared quickly, but my kids loved the custard cream inside. It was a nice way to say goodbye to my coworkers after being with them for about a year. There is a Fujiya store on the main street, has it been there for a long time? I noticed it was already there. I haven't been there much, maybe 2-3 times. I had already checked the website beforehand, but when I actually looked at the showcase, everything looked delicious! After struggling, I ended up getting an 8-piece assortment of petit fours for 1,280 yen. It included yogurt cake, cheesecake with strawberry jam, a cupcake with haskap jam, two pieces each of chocolate cake and Mont Blanc, and everyone's favorite, strawberry shortcake. They were all sweet but small, so I could eat them up quickly. Thank you for the meal!
