Red Dragonfly 2023.07.29 (Meat Day) What I can do now is to support food and beverage establishments by being extra careful. Let's all give it our best shot with that in mind! Tonight, I'm having a daytime drinking session at home with friends coming over. It's the 29th, so we made a same-day reservation and visited a yakiniku restaurant in Kitami. We went to "Yakiniku Akatonbo Obihiro Branch" tonight. The location is in Obihiro Kita, along Kisakura-dori (Kitani-sen-dori), right near Torimomo on the west side. The exterior is on the first floor of the 2nd Shirasumire Heights. The interior is cozy, with currently 10 counter seats and several private table seats. At 5:30 PM, they said they didn't have kalbi today. We tried the following items: - Beef Sagari 980 yen (tax included) - Thick-cut raw lamb 680 yen (tax included) - Beef Mino 780 yen (tax included) - Beef Liver 700 yen (tax included) - Raw Hormone 550 yen (tax included) - Tsukune (meatball) 450 yen (tax included) - Minced green onions 50 yen (tax included) We enjoyed the flavorful beef sagari and the gamey raw lamb. The beef mino was fresh and very delicious. The sauce was not too sweet, with a good amount of garlic, making it tasty. The minced green onions were a nice touch. The master seemed to be the adopted son of Akatonbo in Kitami. It seems like he finally found a part-time job. Thank you for the meal. Opened quietly in Nishi-Obihiro. The red neon sign that catches my eye on the way home from work every day. Today, I decided to go in, even though I usually prefer non-alcoholic drinks. They didn't have tongue, but I enjoyed the Sagari Mino raw lamb kimchi rice, salt sagari, and salt guts. Somehow... it feels good. Somehow... I feel like coming back occasionally. This area along the North Line is actually full of famous restaurants, haha.

I went to Yakiniku Akatonbo Obihiro branch! We started with a yakiniku restaurant, a place from Kitami that has expanded to Obihiro. I made a reservation and visited the restaurant. Upon arrival at the restaurant, I noticed the yellow vertical sign and red front sign. The owner was alone, managing the place by himself. We were seated in a raised seating area. The restaurant was not too small, but it seemed to have limited seating - two raised tables, two regular tables, and a counter with chairs removed. We toasted with beer and ordered various meats. The Sagari was consistently delicious, with a good balance of tenderness and sweet fat. However, the standout items were the Gatsu and Hormone - incredibly tasty! The crispy texture and perfect seasoning were excellent. We enjoyed the meat slowly. Customers without reservations were told that the restaurant was fully booked from 3 minutes after opening. It's recommended to make a reservation or call ahead to confirm availability due to the limited seating. Overall, the prices were reasonable, the meat quality was good, and it was a great restaurant. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the newly opened Yakiniku Red Dragonfly in Kitami for the first time (^-^)/ The location is in the north of Obihiro, along Kizakuhara Street (North 2 Line), right next to Torimomo. The exterior is on the first floor of the 2nd Shirasumire Heights. The interior is cozy with 10 counter seats and several private table seats. I made a reservation for 6:00 pm. The recommended items are Sagari and Hormone. Top-quality beef Sagari for 980 yen (tax included), thick-cut raw lamb for 680 yen (tax included), beef Mino for 780 yen (tax included), raw Hormone for 550 yen (tax included), beef tongue for 980 yen (tax included), and chopped green onions for 50 yen (tax included). They also serve alcohol. The Sagari and raw lamb were delicious, with the Sagari having a rich beef flavor and the raw lamb having a gamey taste. The Mino was fresh and crunchy, my favorite. The sauce was not too sweet and had a nice garlic flavor. The chopped green onions were a nice touch. There is only a ventilation fan, so it can get a bit smoky, reminding me of the second floor of the old Namdaemun (laughs). The owner is the son-in-law of Red Dragonfly in Kitami. They are currently looking for part-time staff, but for now, it seems to be a one-person operation and quite challenging. Thank you for the delicious meal.
