The lunch of office workers is limited in scope, so today's lunch is at "Takumi Sushi"! The desired restaurant was full, so we went to a new place next door. I had bad sushi the day before, so I wanted to try a different place for revenge haha. I entered around 12:10, no customers were there, only one couple came in after me. There were 2 staff members, the owner and a female staff member. I ordered the "Fujin" for 3,300 yen. The chef's friendly talk made the atmosphere comfortable. They served 6 pieces of sushi first, and when I finished, they added 5 more pieces. The quality of the ingredients was not that great for the price. The chef asked if I was full, so I ordered the "Takumi Fresh Chirashi" for 880 yen. I should have just ordered the Takumi Fresh Chirashi lunch set from the beginning. Considering the price increase, 880 yen is quite reasonable in this economy. I would rate the sushi as a "3.5" for the Takumi Fresh Chirashi lunch set. It was delicious, thank you! I will definitely come back!

Today was another cold day, but around noon there was no sign of light snowfall. With a bit of extra time on my hands, I decided to try a slightly farther restaurant (although it wasn't too far). I arrived at the restaurant just before 12 o'clock, went downstairs, and entered the empty establishment. I was told I could sit anywhere, but as a solo diner, I chose to sit at the counter. I was interested in the "tataki bowl" on the lunch menu, but the owner warned me it might take a while as they were still preparing for the other customer. So, I opted for the "takumi chirashi" instead, priced at 880 yen. I asked for a generous portion of rice, which the owner kindly provided. At first, I thought the owner was unfriendly, but after I placed my order, they started chatting with me, and we had a pleasant conversation. When my dish was ready, I received it over the counter, and for 880 yen, it was quite satisfying. The presentation wasn't impressive, but the taste was excellent, reminiscent of a sushi restaurant chirashi. The balance of the toppings and rice was good, and the freshness of the ingredients was noticeable. It's been a while since I visited a sushi restaurant like this, and I might come back again sometime. After finishing my meal, I enjoyed some more casual conversation. Overall, it was a delightful lunch experience.

I've been bookmarking this place for a while and finally decided to use it for lunch. It was past lunchtime, so I was the only one there. When I ordered the Takumi chirashi, the staff asked if there was anything I didn't like, which was nice. I don't have any dislikes, so I welcomed any kind of sushi. Every piece was delicious without any fishy taste. The egg had a slightly sweet taste, and the sushi rice had just the right amount of vinegar with a nice sesame flavor. The nori sprinkled on top was a nice touch. I recently saw on Youtube that sushi rice for seafood bowls shouldn't be too hot, and I agreed with that. The miso soup was hot and had the perfect richness. The daikon salad had a Japanese dressing on it. I felt like I could have eaten a few more pieces of sushi because the portion felt a bit small. The quiet atmosphere in the restaurant made me a bit nervous when there were no other customers, but it was better than a noisy place. The staff were very polite and had a warm, homely feel, but I wished they would turn on the ventilation fan at least.

Sushi is basically for people who only know conveyor belt sushi. The place is around Tanukikoji 6. It's outside the arcade, in the basement. I visited during lunchtime (11:30-14:00). The lunch set is 800 yen for 5 types. There are also nigiri sets ranging from 1,000 yen to 3,000 yen. The Hana Zushi bento is 800 yen with miso soup and salad. The rice is a bit sweet, but the nigiri was delicious. The tuna nigiri was really good. Tuna is something I'll eat at a proper sushi restaurant. The squid and sweet shrimp were aged to bring out the sweetness. It was tender. But there was no fishy smell. It must be all about timing. They really bring it out at the right moment. It's the little details, isn't it? The professionals know best. The chirashi had crab in it, if I remember correctly. There was a lot of egg, but for this price, it's good. It's delicious in its own way. The salad was average. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for something more Japanese-like on the menu. Also, the head of the sweet shrimp. The miso soup broth. That was delicious. Sweetness and aroma without any fishy smell. Shrimp-based broth is familiar in Hokkaido, but Japanese cuisine broth is truly delicious. The staff at the restaurant were nice. Even a sushi beginner like me could enjoy a tasty lunch without any pressure. I first visited the bar district in Tanukikoji, then revisited a promising restaurant. They gave me a stamp card at the checkout. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I'll try a bowl or nigiri. (Side note) Sometimes, people ask me. Politeness over flashiness. Looking down on customers. I was starting to dislike sushi restaurants after having bad experiences at two highly-rated sushi restaurants in City M that treated disabled people poorly and engaged in racial discrimination. Even if I'm looked down on, conveyor belt sushi is fine for me. I want to enjoy something delicious within my budget. That's how I feel.

Located on the B1F of a building on the corner of Minami 2 Nishi 7 in Sapporo. I visited during lunchtime and found the place quite busy with a decent number of customers. There are quite a few small raised seating areas for 4 people. I sat at the counter near the kitchen. The restaurant has a chic, dark-toned decor more reminiscent of an izakaya than a traditional sushi restaurant. The somewhat unfriendly owner informed me politely that the service might be a bit slow due to the busy time. They offer 5 types of nigiri sets, and I chose the "Sakura" set, priced at 1620 yen. The cheapest set, "Momo," costs 1080 yen, while the most expensive set, "Fuji," is 3240 yen, making it quite reasonable. I chose a set that didn't include the types of sushi I don't particularly enjoy. I waited for my order while leisurely sipping tea. As the owner had mentioned, the service was a bit slow. On Saturdays, all sushi dishes are 20% off, making it quite a good deal. They have a good selection of Japanese sake and shochu, including local Hokkaido sake like Kitayama's Hokutozuusou and nationwide brands like Kudoki Jouzu from Yamagata. They also offer various types of shochu such as sweet potato, barley, rice, awamori, and brown sugar. The wall displayed the daily sashimi menu, including fresh clams, which I wanted to try but ultimately didn't order. My order arrived after about 25 minutes, consisting of maguro, hotate, amaebi, hirame, ika, sanma, uni, ikura, umeshiso maki, tamagoyaki, totaling 10 pieces. The sanma nigiri, a seasonal delicacy, was particularly delicious this year. The ikura was also a favorite of mine. I heard from a knowledgeable source that it's more affordable this year, so it might be worth making at home in large quantities. There were other well-aged sushi items that were also tasty. Overall, I enjoyed my meal. Coming on a Saturday offers great value, and their lunch sets priced at 865 yen each are also enticing. I'd like to visit again on a Saturday if possible. Despite seeming a bit aloof, the owner was overall friendly. Thank you for the meal.

It's my second visit in about 5 years. The lunch menu has 5 options: Tokusei Chirashi, Stamina Donburi, Maki Maki Set, Tataki Donburi, and Hanazushi Bento. The price used to be 840 yen, but now it's 865 yen. I had the Hanazushi Bento this time, which was served in about 15 minutes. It included Bara Chirashi, Nigiri, Maki, Oshinko, Sashimi, Owan, and Salad. The Bara Chirashi had shredded egg, crab meat, chopped seaweed, fried tofu, Nigiri had tuna, scallop, mackerel, and the Maki had plum. The Owan was tofu in clear soup, and the salad had daikon, cucumber, carrot, and seaweed with Japanese dressing. The variety and presentation were great, and the Nigiri was especially delicious. I'd like to visit again to try other lunch options. (June 2019)

Affordable lunch menu ☆ On Saturdays, there is a 20% discount on cost-effective sushi (^^) Today, I had sushi lunch for the first time in a while ☆ I went aiming for a good deal lunch, but to my surprise, the nigiri sushi was 20% off on Saturdays (゚д゚) lol If you're conscious of cost performance, it's a good place to go ☆ It wasn't too crowded, so I might come back for a lunch drink sometime! They had decent Japanese sake and shochu! The miso soup had a sweet shrimp head broth, I think? It was delicious ☆

Ordered chrysanthemum sushi. Received an extra piece using a coupon from the Kossei Gourmet pamphlet. It was served in two separate servings in a very calm and pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

As others have mentioned, this is indeed a quiet restaurant. However, the taste is exceptional. The chef's attention to detail makes the experience enjoyable without feeling stiff. There is a wide selection of sake, including many unique options from Hokkaido, which can easily lead to overindulging. This is a recommended spot for those who enjoy chatting with the chef across the counter.
