First visit. Initially, I was planning to eat the oil soba, but when I saw the button for tsukemen on the food ticket machine, my finger just went there haha. I ordered the spicy miso tsukemen for 850 yen including tax. When I sat at the counter, I noticed that each seat had tissues, condiments, and toothpicks neatly arranged, which was nice. The bowl arrived shortly and I was surprised to see that the dipping soup was already served, allowing for adjusting the soup's richness. No need to call the staff after finishing the noodles. It's rare to see this kind of thoughtfulness in Tokachi, so I was impressed. The noodles were thick and chewy, just the way I like it. The soup had a nice level of spiciness, and the green onions added a good accent. The noodle portion was just right for me, but it might feel a bit small for big eaters. They offer options for extra and super-sized portions, so take advantage of that. The customer next to me happened to be eating the oil soba, which also looked delicious, so I've decided to come back for sure. If I were to make suggestions for Nishikiya to become a thriving restaurant, it would be to have a clear and large menu display at the entrance for customers to consider before lining up at the food ticket machine, especially for families who would want to see the menu together. Also, relocating the TV inside the store to be above the food ticket machine could improve satisfaction as it would be in the view of all counter customers. Lastly, addressing the unevenness in the parking lot. It's narrow, and while diagonal parking is inevitable, the step makes it difficult to fit the car snugly without pressing the accelerator firmly when backing in, and there are no parking blocks, which might deter female drivers. Apologies for being presumptuous. Anyway, thank you for the meal. I'll be back.
