The Arcs Group is the largest supermarket chain in Hokkaido with an annual turnover exceeding 500 billion yen. It is listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. It is one of the three major supermarkets in Hokkaido along with "Aeon Hokkaido Group" and "Co-op Sapporo", holding 70% of the market share in the region. The share in Hokkaido is Arcs Group 25.8%, Co-op Sapporo 21.6%, Aeon Hokkaido Group 21.4%. They have been expanding by absorbing major supermarkets in various parts of Hokkaido under the umbrella of "Ralls". The store name is gradually changing from "Ralls Store" to "Super Arcs". For example, "Ralls Store Miyanosawa" has changed to "Super Arcs Miyanosawa". I visited with my usual companion. This store is located in the Hoshioki area of Teine-ku, Sapporo, along Shimoine-dori. Please check the exact location of the store on Tabelog. I visited around 1 pm on a weekday. The store is on one floor and quite spacious. When I looked around the store, I found a "Zangi corner of Otaru Narutoya" in the deli section. "Otaru Narutoya" is a popular shop for half-fried young chicken and Zangi. It was the first time I saw Zangi from "Otaru Narutoya" in a supermarket deli section. I naturally bought it. I also bought "Kit Kat Mini" which was cheap for two people's snacks. (laughs) Toilet paper and tissues are limited to two packs per household. As shown in the photo, there was quite a stock on the shelf. Otaru Narutoya's Zangi is tastefully seasoned and crispy. The saltiness is subtly strong and goes well with beer. The batter is not too thick, allowing you to feel the taste of the chicken directly.
