In March 2023, there is a charcoal-grilled chicken restaurant in Ebetsu. After reading a MyRebi article, I love yakitori so I visited right away. The menu consists of charcoal-grilled chicken and two types of chicken rice. I ordered one of each. The charcoal-grilled chicken is fragrant and the chicken meat is tender. There are no noticeable tendons or fat, and the salt seasoning is just right. The chicken rice has a strong dashi flavor and complements the charcoal-grilled chicken well. It's soft and delicious.

Oh, I didn't even notice that this place was open, even though I pass by here quite frequently. My partner actually found out about it online and we decided to stop by while running errands. It's located at the end of the "Osa Ginza Shopping Street," right next to a soba restaurant. I think there used to be a home care service provider here before. It's a takeout-only shop, and although there's no parking in front of the store, you can use the "Osa Ginza Shopping Street Parking Lot" (the one in front of Trial Osa Store). It's a small shop with a window for sales. The menu on the website had a few options, but at the window, they only had "Charcoal Grilled Chicken" with salt for 500 yen and "Rice with Charcoal Grilled Chicken" for 500 yen. I ordered two of the chicken with salt, and they packed it for me. I'll heat it up and try it at home. My partner thought that yakitori should be on skewers, but after trying it, they agreed that it was delicious. The aroma of the charcoal is nice, and the chicken is tender and different from the usual supermarket chicken. It's good to see new restaurants like this livening up the Osa Shopping Street. I vaguely remember knowing the representative of this shopping street. I haven't seen them recently, but I'll definitely stop by again soon.

In Ebetsu, at the edge of the Ginza shopping street, near the Sapporo side, there is a flower shop according to the owner. They gave me carnations as a gift for their opening. A pack of chicken costs 500 yen here. It looks like it's grilled with charcoal, giving it a smoky flavor and a grilled fat taste. It's quite delicious, but it's not as tender as local chicken. Don't confuse it with the famous charcoal-grilled local chicken in Chitose, which is more expensive. If you want a cheaper option nearby, this place is good enough.

The menu offers two options: charcoal-grilled chicken and charcoal-grilled chicken rice, each priced at 500 yen. The chicken was tender and flavorful, with a strong salt seasoning and a nice charcoal taste. The chicken rice had a gentle dashi flavor with a fragrant charcoal-grilled chicken topping. A slice of pickled ginger would have been a nice addition. Overall, a great option for a casual drink snack or a side dish for a night of drinking.

The charcoal-grilled chicken had a good chewy texture, not too tough, with great flavor and no unpleasant smell. It was very delicious. The chicken rice that I bought together was a bit bland though. The charcoal-grilled chicken and chicken rice were each 500 yen.
