Once a month, I have a craving for liver sashimi, so I went to a different restaurant this time. As I entered through the entrance on the left side of the apartment building and went downstairs, I was expecting a rough-looking old man to greet me, but to my surprise, a young handsome guy welcomed me instead. The manager was a hit with me, and he offered me all-you-can-drink for 980 yen, but since they had a variety of plum wines, I decided to order a single drink for now. The white liver sashimi I was looking for was delicious, especially when eaten with garlic and sesame oil salt. The vinegar-pickled mackerel, although not listed as "fatty vinegar-pickled mackerel" on the menu, was lightly pickled and I quickly understood why it was listed as "seared vinegar-pickled mackerel." I like the tangy taste of well-pickled mackerel. I also tried grilled dishes, salads, and more, all of which were fresh and tasty. The plum rice ball made with plum for 120 yen (if I remember correctly) was a good deal. I couldn't resist asking the handsome guy for recommendations, and he suggested the beer tempura. Despite already feeling full from the sashimi and rice ball, I decided to order it. It turned out to be more than I could handle, and I jokingly complained to the handsome guy about the portion size. He just smiled and said, "It's something that young people enjoy!" I guess he considered me as part of the "young" group, which made me happy. In the end, I took the remaining tempura home in a pack and it became the side dish for my bento the next day. I may not know how old he thought I was, but being over 40 and eating a large amount of fried food was a bit reckless. The drinks were cheap, the freshness was top-notch, and overall, it was a restaurant with high cost performance. (Plus, the guy was handsome!)
