Recently, I've been hooked on the character Juro from "Sazae-san", and I went to Aeon Motomachi store to find ideas for dinner on my day off. I accidentally bought the larger size of the "Upper Futomaki Set", which includes two futomaki rolls, four inarizushi or small-sized ones, three hosomaki rolls, and three servings of red bean rice. I usually choose the red bean rice, but most people in Hokkaido prefer sweet red bean rice. I'm not a fan of sweet things, so the red bean rice here is just right for me. Lately, I've been enjoying this kind of sushi while having a drink in the evening. I need to be careful not to gain weight during the pandemic.

This is Aeon Motomachi. I had a morning drink and ate a donut. After finishing my snack, I decided to have lunch, so I bought conger eel chirashi and grilled chicken. Feeling like something was missing, I also bought sazae inari for extra rice. I usually go for normal or sesame inari sushi, but this time I tried something different - a spicy inari (with kinpira gobo) for 170 yen. I couldn't imagine what kind of taste it would have, but it was surprisingly delicious. The rice is mixed with kinpira gobo and seasoned with wasabi. It's well-seasoned and moist, offering a variety of flavors. When I tried it with a pork skewer topped with pork and leeks, the flavors became even more enhanced. Sazae is starting to offer bold menu items, and it was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

"I tried the limited edition octopus rice ball and octopus rice bento at Sazae-san on the 1st floor of Aeon Sapporo Motomachi from June to August. The rice ball wrapped in seaweed was more delicious. Thank you for the meal ♪"

I visited the store to buy a late-night snack. Sometimes I crave Sazae (horned turban) rice balls. This time, I decided to try something new that I haven't had before, "octopus rice balls" and "plum chicken cutlet rice balls." Both were delicious! The chicken cutlet with plum flavor was especially tasty, with the plum adding a nice accent. I really want to eat it again. The octopus rice balls were also delicious. I would definitely buy them again. It was a great first try, with no disappointments. Thank you for the meal!٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

When you come in the morning, the selection is great! I usually come late in the evening, so I have only seen a few items left (^-^; There are too many choices, it's overwhelming. I bought two items, "Northern Chicken Tempura" and "Shrimp Tempura"! Shrimp tempura is a classic, the sauce is deliciously soaked in. I can eat as many as I want ♫ "Northern Chicken Tempura" is a new item for me. The chicken portion is good, but I prefer a little more sauce (^-^; Thank you for the meal٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Simple-looking dorayaki with a slightly fluffy and moist texture. The azuki bean paste inside is made with Tokachi red beans, giving it a nice flavor and a slightly sweet taste.
▽Beko Mochi 108 yen▽

Sazae is known for their Tokachi Ohagi and they also offer a variety of traditional Japanese sweets, onigiri, and bento boxes. This particular branch is located on the 1st floor of AEON Sapporo Motomachi. I bought some snacks here, including the dorayaki and beko mochi. The dorayaki had delicious azuki bean paste, while the beko mochi was simple yet satisfying. I would like to try their ohagi next time, as their specialty seems to be the bean paste fillings.

I also bought some souvenirs for my parents' house here!! On the way back from buying dumplings, I stopped by Sazae to buy some sweets to offer at the Buddhist altar. Sazae is really convenient to use. Onigiri, oyaki, and Japanese sweets, all are cheap and delicious!! I bought two kinds of Tokachi Daifuku, one with matcha cream and one with whipped cream, because I really enjoyed the matcha cream-filled Tokachi Daifuku I had the other day. I tried the whipped cream one this time♪*Tokachi Daifuku (whipped cream-filled) (130 yen)The red bean paste and whipped cream inside are not too sweet. It's a delicious daifuku (*'ω'*) Sazae never disappoints!!

After eating ramen at the Motomachi Aeon, I was looking around the first floor food court when I noticed a sign at Sazae that said "limited time offer." It seems they have a pumpkin cream o-yaki that is only available for a limited time. Looking at the photo, it doesn't seem like a cream but more like mashed pumpkin, which might be a bit chunky. However, I'm weak when it comes to limited-time offers so I ended up buying it (laughs). Just in case, I also bought some sweet red bean paste as a backup. When I cut open the pumpkin cream o-yaki, it was very creamy, contrary to the photo. When I tasted it, it had a gentle sweetness of pumpkin without the fibrous texture, very smooth. There were also small pieces of pumpkin inside, making it delicious. The sweet red bean paste was consistently delicious, not too sweet and easy to eat. Next time, I would like to buy some rice balls too. Thank you for the meal.

In December 2013, there are over 40 Sazae stores in Sapporo city alone. They are located in department stores as well as large supermarkets. In addition to bento boxes and side dishes, they also offer ohagi, rolled sushi, onigiri, and oyaki. The product lineup varies between department stores and supermarkets, with the latter offering more affordable prices. I recently visited the Sazae store at Aeon Sapporo Motomachi Shopping Center. This store is located on the first floor of Aeon Sapporo Motomachi Shopping Center in Higashi-ku, Sapporo, along the Toho Line subway. I usually buy futomaki and norimaki at Sazae. My companion loves norimaki, especially futomaki. During my visit, I found a delicious looking bento box that I decided to try. The beef rice weighed 290g, which is significantly less than the standard 400g for bento boxes. It uses Hokkaido beef with a rich sukiyaki-like seasoning, along with a small amount of onions and green peas. The onions are well seasoned, and the beef has a strong presence with little fat. The bento box also includes tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) and pickled vegetables, priced at 525 yen. The use of Hokkaido beef gives it a good flavor. Despite the smaller portion, it was quite satisfying. It's meat-heavy with few vegetables, which is nice for meat lovers. Even my companion, who usually dislikes fatty meat, enjoyed it. Sazae is well-known among Hokkaido locals and is convenient to access in major cities across the prefecture. I look forward to trying their futomaki or beef rice again next time. It was a delicious meal, thank you.

Sazae Ion Sapporo Motomachi store. I found something called Tokachi Daimyo Kinshidou Oyaki. It says it's filled with plenty of sweet red beans. Inside the oyaki, there are no fillings like sweet bean paste, only sweet red beans. It's a delicious treat that sweet red bean lovers will adore. I enjoyed it very much and will visit again.

I just arrived in Sapporo and was invited for my grandson's birthday. It's nice, but I feel like my wallet is being targeted because the things he wants are really expensive. Plus, once you meet, you lose your freedom afterwards, so the time right after arriving is the best chance. I'll stop by Aeon. The service at Sazae here is wonderful. It feels like an assembly line, but you can watch comfortably without worrying about making the other person uncomfortable. What should I have at Sazae today? I really want to eat inari sushi, but I already have red rice and the half-price offer is tempting. Sazae, even you? Have you also started using this kind of rice? This is too much, it's so dry. I won't say you should only use mochi rice, but this is just too much. Why did Japanese rice turn out like this?

One weekend, I had lunch and stopped by my parents' house with a souvenir from AEON Sapporo Motomachi. Needless to say, it's a Sazae-san store. The parking lot can accommodate a sufficient number of cars. The store is located inside, past the main entrance, with shelves arranged in an L-shape filled with a wide variety of products, mainly sweets, sushi rolls, and rice balls, indicating its popularity. On this day, I got carried away and bought more than I intended from the Motoi display shelf, thinking it would be nice if only my parents could eat it. I couldn't resist purchasing the "Pork Cutlet & Crab Flavored Salad Set (399 yen + tax)" which was being sold as a special offer. It consists of bite-sized seaweed rolls with pork cutlet and sweet tamagoyaki. I also bought the "Datemaki Combination (720 yen + tax)" to share with everyone. It includes moderately sweet datemaki rolls, normal seaweed rolls, slightly savory inari sushi, and red rice onigiri (not made with adzuki beans). The "3 pieces of Tempura Shrimp (550 yen + tax)" had a flavorful seasoning sauce that complemented the rice. My parents were particularly delighted with it. I also bought the "3 pieces of Sazae Ohagi (450 yen + tax)" which was a classic treat that we hadn't had in a while. It was sweet as expected, but just the right size and sweetness for most people. As a bonus, I received an extra piece for buying three. In the end, it seems like it became my parents' dinner as there were some leftovers after the three of us ate. They were happy and enjoyed the meal. Thank you for the delicious food.

I visited on February 26, 2021. It is located on the 1st floor of Aeon Motomachi store. They sell various items such as sushi, onigiri, bento boxes, and Japanese sweets. When I visited close to 8 pm, there were many customers because there were many half-price items. I bought ohagi and skewered dumplings. Thank you for the meal.
