I saw information online and decided to visit during lunchtime on a weekday. There were no customers when I arrived. The staff greeted me friendly and said, "It's your first time here, right?" I ordered the top menu item, which was the Hokkaido bone-in chicken soup curry (limited quantity). The staff asked, "The turmeric rice comes in a portion for 3 servings for men, how many would you like?" I couldn't imagine, so I opted for 1.5 servings. After waiting for about 10 minutes, I could hear the sound of the chicken being fried. A large piece of crispy chicken was served with daikon radish, potato, bell pepper, pumpkin, carrot, and onion. I tried the soup, and as others have mentioned, it was more like a curry soup with a strong broth, rather than traditional soup curry. It was delicious. However, I struggled with the chicken, as it was not the tender, fall-off-the-bone type but a large piece with crispy skin. I couldn't handle it with just a fork and spoon, so I had to ask for a knife. Overall, I enjoyed the meal.

Located near Green Park in Obihiro City, this shop has an unassuming exterior that may not immediately scream "restaurant." The female owner manages the place single-handedly, providing attentive and friendly service despite being busy. When ordering, she confirms the amount of rice you want, with a regular serving being quite generous. The soup curry here has a unique twist, with ingredients like natto, ground meat, okra, carrots, potatoes, pumpkin, sliced onions, and even daikon. The soup is light yet flavorful, with a mild curry spice. It's more like a curry-flavored pot-au-feu than traditional soup curry. While it may not satisfy those craving a hearty soup curry, the gentle flavors and abundance of vegetables make it a healthy and tasty option. Next time, I look forward to trying their limited edition chicken soup curry. A delightful experience with this mild and vegetable-packed soup curry.

Light and homey soup curry served only at lunch. The restaurant has a clean and spacious café-like atmosphere where you can relax and even read a book. The menu includes limited quantities of chicken, cheese hamburger, okra natto, and vegetable curry, all priced at 1100 yen. I chose the cheese hamburger. You can choose the level of spiciness, with an extra 50 yen for extra spicy. For an additional 200 yen, you can get a drink. The soup had a faint green color, light yet flavorful with a strong dashi taste. It had a slightly Japanese home-cooked feel. The vegetables, including potatoes and carrots, were delicious. The cheese hamburger was of high quality and quite filling. The portion of rice was generous. The staff were very friendly, asking if the spiciness level was okay. I will definitely come back again.

First, the exterior of the restaurant has a cafe-like atmosphere, and when a lone male customer enters, there is a sense of being out of place, which may be related to the fact that the second floor of the restaurant is a facial esthetic salon. Once you get used to it, it's fine, so let's focus on the soup curry. As a chicken lover, I will go for the limited 10 servings of "Hokkaido bone-in chicken." The bone-in chicken thigh meat cooked in the soup is delicious. Combined with the spiciness of the soup curry, placing the thigh meat on top of the rice makes it feel like a different ethnic dish. I myself have limited experience with soup curry, so I don't know what the standard is, but I think the soup curry at "Dining Cafe Fujiya" is on the lighter side. The soup has a slightly spicy curry flavor. Surprisingly, there is daikon radish among the ingredients. I was surprised to see daikon in curry, but it fits perfectly in soup curry. On my third visit, I tried the "minced meat natto (with okra)" for the first time. It's minced natto in soup curry. There is no sliminess at all, and the nice aroma of natto blends well with the soup. My concerns are that it's difficult to bite into the chicken thigh meat when there are many female customers, and using a spoon means you can only scoop up a little bit of soup, so I wish they had ramen-style ladles.

I visited Fujiya for lunch. I had been to this cafe when they first opened, but this was my first time trying their new soup curry dish. There were only two groups of women in the restaurant around 12pm. The chicken, which is limited to 10 servings, was sold out, so I ordered the "spicy" vegetable soup curry with turmeric rice for 1100 yen. My friend ordered the "mildly spicy" cheese hamburger with a small portion of rice for 1100 yen. After a wait of about 15 minutes, our dishes arrived. The soup base was made from chicken and pork bones, and it had a gentle spice flavor rather than a traditional curry taste. The "spicy" version had a bit of heat, so if you like spicier food, it might be worth adding extra spice for an additional cost. The vegetable ingredients included eggplant, bell pepper, paprika, daikon radish, pumpkin, carrot, and potatoes. The eggplant was soft and delicious, and the turmeric rice, which was cooked firm, had a texture similar to sprouted brown rice. My friend's original spice hamburger with cheese was light and flavorful, with a hint of spice that felt healthy. Overall, the dishes had a gentle flavor, reminiscent of Western herbal soup curry, which might appeal to women. I enjoyed the collagen-rich soup curry. Thank you for the meal!

This is a soup curry restaurant that I visited for the third time while on a business trip. The restaurant is located on the way from Green Park to Inada, in a building that looks like a single-family cafe. There is a soup curry flag in front of the store. Inside, there are counter seats and table seats, and the interior is clean and new. This time, I ordered the bone-in chicken (1,100 yen) in a spicy flavor. You can get extra rice for +100 yen. The soup curry here is characterized by a light broth and has a slightly Japanese feel to it. Ingredients like daikon inside go really well with this soup. The bone-in chicken was a bit difficult to eat as the meat was hard to remove from the bones. The regular portion of rice was already sufficient, so getting the extra portion was a mistake. The wait time for the food was a bit long, and the prices felt a bit high. The taste may vary depending on preferences, but I would recommend it to those who like a lighter flavor.

It felt more like I had eaten a carefully prepared consommé soup rather than soup curry. I ordered it extra spicy, but it was either medium or slightly spicy, so those who love spicy food may be disappointed. I'm not sure if I would recommend it to those looking for soup curry, but it was still delicious in its own way. The chicken option is limited to 10 servings, and the soup curry menu only offers cheese hamburger, minced meat natto, and vegetable options, all priced at 1100 yen each. The gentle soup and café-like interior make it easy for women to dine alone. They also have town magazines available for information gathering.

This is a high-priced restaurant even for lunch, costing around 1500 yen including drinks, which may not be wallet-friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant is like a café, clean and neat. The soup had little spice, but high salt content and was quite rich in flavor. It may not be the mainstream of soup curry and could be divisive for some people. I couldn't even finish half of it as the chicken and vegetables were tough, and the potatoes were too hard to cut with a spoon, flying off the plate. This restaurant seems to cater to those who prefer very strong flavors. Based on taste and price, I would rate it 2 out of 5 stars, as I cannot give it just 1 star.

The soup curry restaurant has a closing time of 3 pm, so it was difficult to visit, but I finally managed to go. The parking lot is spacious, making it relatively easy to park. The interior has an L-shaped counter and table seats, and it is quite spacious. There are three main menu categories, and I ordered the hamburger curry while my companion ordered the chicken curry. The staff seems to be limited, so it takes some time for the food to come out. It is better to go when you have time. The soup curry is light and refreshing, but it still has a good punch of flavor. The rice is seasoned with turmeric without cutting corners. It is packed with ingredients such as pumpkin, bell pepper, potato, and carrot, which may be common but the flavors of the vegetables and curry blend well and taste delicious. Especially the pumpkin was sweet and tasty. It's unclear why, but there are overwhelmingly more female customers. We also had cheesecake ice cream after the meal, which was light and enjoyable until the end.

Visited during the end of lunchtime with three other groups present. Ordered the chicken soup curry, extra spicy, at the counter. The spiciness here is actually milder than indicated, so it's better to order at least two levels higher for more heat. I've eaten here many times, and the curry is not heavily spiced, but rather you can taste the quality of the broth. It's delicious in its own way, so I keep coming back. For those who prefer hearty curry, it might be a bit lacking, but it's still delicious! (laughs)

When I entered the restaurant, I was impressed by how clean it was. There was one staff member in the kitchen and one in the dining area. I looked at the menu and was surprised by the prices. Chicken curry for 1100 yen, hamburger curry for 1100 yen, vegetable curry for 1100 yen. There were no options under 1000 yen for lunch. They offered upsizes for soup (+200 yen), rice (+100 yen), extra spicy (+50 yen), very spicy (+250 yen), and takeout (+100 yen). I ordered the chicken and hamburger curry. The staff asked if I wanted a drink, which was priced at 400 yen for oolong tea or cola. It felt like I had to order something, so I got coffee (200 yen after the meal) and oolong tea. The chicken curry was tough and felt like I was eating charcoal-grilled chicken. The hamburger curry didn't seem worth the 1100 yen. The potatoes in the curry were also hard. It may be a matter of personal preference, but it didn't suit my taste.

My wife took me to have soup curry for the first time in Obihiro. The place was across from Belwala in Green Park South, and I was surprised to find a restaurant in such a location. There were about five parking spaces, with five table seats and a counter inside. When we entered, there were already about three groups of customers. Even while waiting for our food, more and more customers kept coming in. We ordered the cheese hamburger and chicken. It took some time for the dishes to come out, maybe because they were preparing the vegetables. I think it's something to be aware of when visiting. As for the taste, it was more like a curry-flavored minestrone than soup curry. I actually liked it this way. The hamburger was soft and delicious, but I thought the chicken could have been a bit softer for easier eating. It's a restaurant I would like to visit again.
