I visited Daruma for the first time in a while! I was undecided on which branch to go to, but ended up at the 4.4 store which seemed to have plenty of seating. They also had a second floor which looked a bit more relaxed for dining. I arrived a little later than I intended, and there was already a line. I had forgotten that each store has a different beer, and here they served Asahi Super Dry, which was a bit disappointing. I waited patiently for a while. The first floor had a counter, and the second floor had tables, with lines forming at each. There was a mix of tourists and locals. It was nice to see individual seating areas separated by vinyl curtains. There were quite a few solo diners, including some stylish women who ate quickly and left. After about a 30-minute wait, we were seated. The prices seemed to have gone up a bit since my last visit. We started with some Genghis Khan beer for everyone. The vegetables were now an additional charge, but we ordered them as well. The meat was cooked on the hot plate with fat on top, then mixed with a spicy sauce. The combination was delicious. The beer was flowing and the food was tasty. We also enjoyed the Chanja and Kimchi. We ordered more beer and enjoyed the meal, which was filling but reasonably priced. It was a bit more expensive than before, but still worth it. Overall, a delicious meal!

As a Genghis Khan (grilled lamb) beginner, I received strict guidance from the older sister while cooking. It was delicious. The fillet was the best. The lamb can be hit or miss, but it was tasty without any unpleasant smell! I regretted missing out on the top-quality meat. Maybe it's just me, but the draft beer was delicious. Maybe it's because it's Sapporo Classic, or maybe it's fresh, but it was so good that even though I'm not a fan of beer, I had another glass. The cramped counter seats make it a great place to enjoy Genghis Khan with someone while chatting. There are many tourists, but locals also come to eat here, so it's a popular spot. I wanted to eat Genghis Khan BBQ, so I went to this restaurant that seemed to have availability. However, I waited for almost an hour in line, showing how popular the restaurant is! I ordered all types of meat (Genghis Khan, upper meat, fillet). This goes really well with beer! Also, the onions were very sweet and tasted even better after soaking up the meat juices. Even after leaving the restaurant and returning home, I still had the smell of Genghis Khan BBQ all over me, haha.

When you go to Hokkaido, you must visit Jingisukan Daruma. Even this time, I visited after a long time. There was still a long line, and it took over 1.5 hours to get in. The prices seem to have gone up compared to a few years ago, but it's still delicious. I'm afraid to go to other restaurants for Jingisukan because it's so delicious here. There is no unpleasant smell, it's tender, and has a great flavor. Other Jingisukan at different restaurants that are all mixed up with sauce were too smelly to eat. It's really different here. The onions are also sweet and delicious, so I ended up getting seconds. I thought ordering a bottle of wine might be too much, so I asked for a glass, and they brought out a small bottle of red wine that doesn't contain the preservatives found in wine sold at supermarkets (lol). Well, it's fine. I wasn't expecting much here anyway. In the end, I ordered two bottles, so maybe I should have just gotten the bottle. However, it's really a waste of time that they don't take reservations. It would be better for both sides if they had reservations even in one-hour time slots with a simultaneous start. It's a mystery why they want people to wait in line so much. The time spent waiting is longer than the time spent eating. Nevertheless, I will probably end up going there again.

Then dip in the sauce with onions and enjoy. The rice, beer, kimchi, and Genghis Khan at Daruma in Susukino, Hokkaido are all delicious and the best.

The Hump is sold out, while the Sirloin is ¥1680, Genghis Khan is ¥1280, the first vegetables are ¥170, Yama Budou Sour is ¥473, and there is a cover charge of ¥220. It had been a few years since I last visited, and I found it to be expensive. Even if you don't order, vegetables and a cover charge will be served. I was planning to order the Hump but ended up getting the Sirloin. After the Sirloin, the Genghis Khan was... I think the Sirloin is tastier. It was a bit pricey at around 4000 yen for one person, but I had checked beforehand that the restaurant was fully booked regardless of the time today, so I was lucky to be able to eat without waiting in line. The aunties at the restaurant provided just the right amount of good service.

I ordered a large bottle of Sapporo Classic beer, lamb meat, vegetables, and chanja. The restaurant only has counter seats, making it easy for even solo diners to enter. The Genghis Khan dish was delicious with the sweet and spicy flavor of grilled onions and green onions complementing the lamb perfectly. I also ordered extra meat and a lemon sour to enjoy. Overall, I had a great experience enjoying Genghis Khan with a good selection of meat at a reasonable price of just over 5000 yen.

I decided based on reviews because I don't like sweet sauce. The main store on the first floor had a long line outside in the snow, but here there was only a wait for 2 groups and there were lockers available. I tried all 3 types of meat, the filet was amazingly tender with no fat! The prime cut had a good balance of fat and lean meat, thick and juicy. However, I still felt that Genghis Khan was the most delicious. The light soy sauce-based sauce, kimchi, and vegetables seasoned with meat fat were all very tasty. One thing that bothered me was the female staff member who just stared at us without saying "Welcome" or "How many people?" when we entered the restaurant. She must be new to Japan. Please at least give us a smile. Just for this, -1 star.
