I had been curious about this restaurant for a while, so one day I decided to go in. The sophisticated and delicious modern dishes were beautifully displayed in the showcase. It was ideal, with no dust or dirt in sight. Even though I could only eat one dish because I was full, it was delicious, and I'm sure everything on the menu is tasty. I enjoyed a pleasant gathering with Yamazaki plum wine served from a Yamazaki barrel. Mocha-chan (pseudonym), who prepares the dishes, clearly knows good restaurants. It was a valuable time with good information. It's a restaurant that is easy to visit alone, has reasonable prices, and I definitely want to go back. Even if it's not a seafood extravaganza, you can't go wrong with a restaurant that locals also frequent. Thank you very much. It was a delicious meal. ♡

This was my first visit to a relatively new shop along the Shitoden Street in Matsukaze-cho. The bar had a beautiful, bright, and stylish atmosphere. For some reason, there were no obanzai dishes in the showcase that day, so I ordered the chicken tomato cheese bake, which took quite a while to be served.

Hakodate = seafood is a stereotypical way of thinking that should be discarded. For those who want to change their preferences and repeat visits to Hakodate, this is the place to go. It has been in business for about 2 years, staying open relatively late in the neighborhood and being loved by local customers. Along the tram line, the large glass-walled interior looks like a bar at first glance, with a simple counter as the main feature. The style of choosing dishes through glass embedded in the counter, like a sushi restaurant's showcase, is also good for hygiene. The sight of large plates lined up on the counter is nice, but I don't want to see scenes where the drunk person in front of me talks to the plate, or where smoke blows over the food (smoked by cigarette smoke is the worst!) in smoking-permitted establishments. I cover my mouth with my hands or a towel, but I still think that the number of restaurants that provide wraps is limited. I forgot the names of the specific dishes, but they have a variety of dishes that are slight variations on basic dishes, so honestly, I want to try them all. The subtle seasoning is also appealing. The owner couple? is polite, and the gentle customer service makes you feel like you're drinking at "home." There are various carb dishes for the finale, but when you see them vigorously flaking grilled salmon and mixing it with rice to make salmon onigiri, you can't help but order it. They wrap it in plastic wrap, so I devoured it the next morning, and the salmon fat soaked into the rice grains was truly delicious! They have a wide selection of drinks, but I remember the interesting selection of whiskies (it was the third place we visited...).

This day had a few ups and downs, so we decided to visit a second restaurant. The first place was disappointing, so we were determined to have a great time here. We sat at the counter, where we could see a showcase of various side dishes. There were 5 options available that day, and since there were 3 of us, we decided to try them all! I noticed Ichiro's Malt in the drink menu and couldn't resist ordering it. Later on, we switched to sake, and the selection was quite enjoyable. All the side dishes were delicious too! The staff provided great service and engaging conversation, making up for the disappointment of the first place.

A cozy restaurant where you can enjoy delicious small dishes that change daily. The atmosphere is calm and it's run by a couple, making it a relaxing place to dine. The service is friendly and welcoming, making it a definite choice for repeat visits. On this day, we enjoyed some drinks and snacks, but as usual, I forgot to take photos. Everything was delicious. I will definitely visit again.

In conclusion, both the food and service at this restaurant were excellent. It was our second stop during our night in Hakodate. We decided to drop in because the atmosphere seemed nice. The restaurant had a few seats at the counter and tables. There was a showcase with various side dishes, from which we could choose our appetizer. The other food menu items looked appealing as well. The dishes were all delicious and comforting. The highlight was the Napolitan, which was the best I've ever had! The wine menu was extensive, but only one type of red and white wine was available by the glass. For other options, you had to order a bottle. The restaurant is run by a husband and wife, and it felt like they were greatly loved by their regulars and local businessmen. Despite being from Tokyo, they welcomed us warmly, engaged in conversation with us, and made us feel happy. If I visit Hakodate again, I would definitely want to revisit this restaurant. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Welcome. ---------- January 2022 ----------As you walk down the street along the Hakodate Station, you will come across a white facade. Inside, there is a stylish restaurant with a counter where various dishes are displayed. The place is run by a couple, but they are both referred to as "Mama." The lady, who doesn't seem old, and the super polite and delicate master run the place. The concept of the restaurant is a mix of Japanese home-style dishes and Italian cuisine. They offer a wide range of cocktails, including their specialty "homemade koji shochu," which is served generously with plenty of gum syrup. For example, they put two pieces of gum syrup in each glass, so if you have three glasses, they have used six pieces of gum syrup. The "Stir-Fried Shrimp and Egg" dish, despite being reheated, maintains the creamy texture of the egg, and the crunchy shrimp adds a delightful contrast. The "Lotus Root and Surimi Fritters" feature crispy lotus root with a generous amount of minced meat in between, giving it a light and refreshing taste. The "Chicken Tomato Cream Pasta" is a delightful combination of a rich tomato sauce, tender chicken thigh, and creamy cheese. The "Home-style Potato Salad" consists of mashed potatoes mixed with various vegetables, making it a perfect accompaniment to drinks. The "Iburi Gakko Cream Cheese" offers a smooth and flavorful experience with the saltiness of finely shredded smoked salmon. Each dish is unexpectedly delicious due to the extra touch in the finishing.
