I came to have a drink before the meeting on April 4, 2023. It's been about a year since my last visit. This place is open from noon and you can enjoy yakitori as usual. There is no break between lunch and dinner service.

I spent the morning indulging in the market, and since I still had plenty of time before my flight, I decided to head back to Odori and have a midday drink! I went to this place I had researched beforehand that offers a great midday drinking set, and ordered a mega highball. I also ordered garlic edamame, chicken motsu, and shrimp mayo skewers from the whiteboard menu. The garlic edamame was made by stir-frying frozen edamame right in front of me, which was quite entertaining to watch. The price wasn't written on the whiteboard, but it was probably around 400 yen. Next, they grilled the skewers for me. The chicken motsu skewer had harami, egg (maybe quail egg?), and gizzard with a slice of green pepper in between. The green pepper paired really well with the meat. The harami had a great chewy texture that made it enjoyable to eat. The egg had a nice popping texture and was cooked through. I usually don't like fully cooked eggs, but this one was acceptable. The gizzard had a perfect chewiness and was the most impressive. The shrimp mayo skewer had a mayo flavor without any batter, and they torched it after putting the mayo on, giving it a slightly charred taste. I was also interested in the jumbo tsukune, but it takes longer to cook and my stomach was already full, so I decided to save it for next time. I ordered another mega highball, enjoyed my meal, and had a great time at the cozy and welcoming atmosphere of the place. They accept electronic payments, allow smoking, and have a relaxed vibe. It seemed like a lively spot for the evening as well. The sign says they offer takeout, but when I asked, they said they weren't doing it at the moment. Overall, it was a great dining experience. Thank you!

I went at 6 pm on a regular day. The rating was high so I decided to give it a try, but the atmosphere of the restaurant was like a Korean fried chicken place with neon lights, which made it a bit intimidating. I sat at the slightly high counter and placed my order. The menu was limited, with only yakitori and side dishes like bean sprout namul and edamame. I started with a spicy tofu dish while waiting for the yakitori to be ready. The tofu was soft and topped with kimchi, Korean seaweed, and a very strong sauce, but it wasn't very delicious. For the yakitori, I ordered chicken liver, pork, lamb, and chicken. They were served with perfect timing. The lamb was incredibly delicious, juicy and dripping with flavor. It had onions and bell peppers sandwiched in between, which was a nice palate cleanser. The pork belly was also juicy and had a good saltiness. The chicken was good too, except for the chicken liver which didn't taste great, maybe it was the sauce. Overall, the prices were not cheap, more geared towards people in their 30s. The skewers were authentic but didn't quite match the vibe of the restaurant. I felt a bit uncomfortable, so I finished my meal and left.

I'm going to drink from noon onwards and I'm all pumped up, but it turns out it's from 3:00 pm. Oh well, that's how it is on Tabelog. I make a pit stop and come back at 3:00 pm. There's a man wearing a Popeye shirt going around the restaurant. Of course, they'll have more staff at night. The happy hour from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays offers half-price drinks (limited selection), except for beer, which is limited to sours and highballs. So, I order a beer. The taste really stands out as the temperature rises. I have another beer. They grill skewers in the central hearth of the restaurant. Even though there are no customers inside yet, they keep grilling more and more. It seems to be popular for delivery as well. They have big, brag-worthy meatballs. They wrap them around a stick before grilling. They are huge and delicious. They sprinkle alcohol on all the skewers while grilling. They use low-temperature searing with smoke. The grill master, who handles everything alone, really shows his skill. It's great, Popeye. Thank you for the meal.

The business hours have changed! I found out from my drinking buddies. You can casually come here alone. On this day, I had some tomato cheese skewers, shrimp mayo skewers, and a few beers. I can't remember how many. If it's tomato and shrimp, no guilt! This is the hangout spot for my daytime drinking buddies on Instagram. I'll definitely come back!

Sapporo Classic draft beer (medium) for half price at ¥550, pickled cabbage for ¥300, and Seseri Yuzu Ponzu for ¥400. I visited this place on a Wednesday around 3:30 PM, with one customer before me and one group after me. I had been saving this place as somewhere I could start drinking early, and it did not disappoint. It was a pleasant surprise to find out it was ladies' day. It's a small shop with just a counter. They accept electronic payments and offer reasonable prices, making it a convenient place to visit.

For lunch, I enjoyed soba at "Sobadokoro Charaku" in Motomachi, then listened to a lecture by Takuro Morinaga at HBC Hokkaido Cultural Academy. I had been curious about this restaurant based on everyone's reviews. I've been avoiding going out for drinks in the city center since quitting my job. It's still early evening, but I'm happy to be here. It's Saturday at 4 pm. There were 2 customers before me and 4 after me. The restaurant has only counter seating. I sat in the middle. It's best to go on days when you don't have much luggage. I ordered the daytime drinking set, available on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 12 to 5 pm, for 1350 yen. It includes 2 drinks, 3 assorted skewers, and one snack priced at 300 yen or less. It's a great deal! For my first drink, I had a medium-sized draft Sapporo Classic (550 yen). Cheers to myself for a job well done! The chosen snack was potato salad (300 yen), and the assorted skewers were pork skewer (220 yen), chicken tenderloin with plum and shiso (260 yen), and chicken skewer (220 yen) with green peppers in between the pork and chicken skewers. The chicken skewer was juicy, and I liked the tangy plum flavor of the chicken tenderloin. For my second drink, I had a honey yuzu highball (490 yen), which felt good on my throat. If ordered separately, it would have been worth 2040 yen. It's amazing how much I saved, around 700 yen! I wanted to stay longer, but the loud chatter of two girls was overwhelming. Maybe I've gotten used to a quiet environment as a recluse? On my way home, I spotted a Sirius-themed streetcar wrapped in Mitsukoshi's corner. The shape of Sirius is cute, and the character Chuwalkun in Chuo Ward is also adorable. I felt happy.

Greetings everyone! After finishing watching the live viewing of "Takizawa Kabuki" at the movie theater around 3 pm on Wednesday, let's head to the female-friendly "Maruhachi Popai" for a treat. As we open the door from United Cinema to the main street, we see five women and one man enjoying themselves. Sitting at the counter, we look at the menu and order grilled chicken wings, chicken liver and jumbo meatballs with sauce, and grilled vegetables with salt. First, we start with beer. The potato salad is good, even though it would be even better with Worcestershire sauce. The grilled chicken wings are delicious, with a texture between young and adult chicken. We want to eat more, but we are waiting to see the large meatballs being cooked. The dynamic grilled vegetables are tasty, and the sauce on the chicken liver is slightly bitter but not overwhelming. The big meatballs have a satisfying size. This place also offers lunch drink sets on weekends and happy hour specials on weekdays. While eating, we check our emails and find out we won tickets to a live event at the Kyocera Dome. We thought the announcement would be in the evening, so it's a pleasant surprise. We haven't had enough to drink, but we need to catch a flight! We definitely want to come back to this place again. Three beers cost 2,960 yen in total. Thank you for the meal!

I wanted to take a break from the mess at home, so I decided to go on a quick tour with my friend Y. Our first stop was Multi Popeye. On Wednesdays, women's drinks are half off, which is fantastic! It was cold, so I started with a shivering beer (lol). We had tomato cheese skewers, heart skewers, cartilage skewers, and I forgot to take a picture of the garlic pork skewers. They were all seasoned well, and the cartilage skewers were big and satisfying to eat! I wonder how many beers I had, maybe around 3? The bill came out to exactly 2000 yen per person. It was cheap, delicious, and we could sit comfortably, so I was very satisfied. Now, let's go to the next place! 🍻🍢👍

From morning to Chinese food to sushi... I'm already so full! But it continues on. For lunch, I ordered a drink set with potato salad and Korean seaweed. I started with red wine, but finished it quickly. Then I had a lemon sour. The refills on the drinks were great. The waiter asked if I had any dislikes, which was nice. I have no dislikes, but I asked for all grilled dishes to be seasoned with salt. The meat was big and juicy. I wonder how many refills I had in total. It was delicious and satisfying. Now, I'll go back to my room and take a nap.

4-7-2 Minami 1 Jonishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo City, Hokkaido. Located on the north side of Pivo fashion building in central Sapporo. A yakitori restaurant on the 1st floor of a 2-story building called 4 Chome Kaikan. The 2nd floor has a long-established yakitori restaurant called Kinchan, but unfortunately, it is closed on Saturdays. I visited the yakitori restaurant on the 1st floor. This place has changed from a coffee shop to a yakiniku restaurant and now a yakitori restaurant. It was a Saturday night around 6:30 pm. The L-shaped counter seats were mostly full with a younger crowd. Smoking is allowed, which is unfortunate. The restaurant is run by a male owner. There is a charcoal grill in the middle of the counter for grilling skewers. - Highball: 420 yen. Served with the right amount of alcohol. - Chicken skewer: 220 yen. Large portion of juicy chicken skewer seasoned with salt. - Chicken cartilage skewer: 220 yen. Recommended along with the chicken skewer, has a crunchy texture and delicious taste. - Chicken tenderloin skewer: 220 yen. Generous portion of tender chicken meat. - Chicken skin skewer: 220 yen. Crispy texture with a moist collagen inside, very delicious. - Green pepper skewer: 220 yen. Two whole green peppers grilled on a skewer, including the seeds. Grilled perfectly with a steamed feel, seeds are edible too. - Jumbo minced chicken skewer with spicy tartar sauce: 550 yen. A large jumbo-sized skewer made right in front of you, with minced meat and spicy tartar sauce. The meat juice flows out when bitten, and the spiciness of the tartar sauce adds a nice kick. All skewers are priced at 220 yen with generous portions. It seems to be a popular spot among young people. Would be great if it were non-smoking.

I visited during the lunch set only. One appetizer, three assorted skewers, and two drinks made for a great deal. The owner was very friendly and even asked if there were any skewers I didn't like. There were several appetizers like namul, hiyayakko, and kimchi, and I chose namul which was delicious and satisfying. As for the skewers, that day they had heart, gizzard, and pork. They were all grilled to perfection with just the right amount of salt. I would love to come back and spend more time in this cozy and calm restaurant.

Snow Festival is still some time away before the projection mapping, so let's wet our throats here! ^ - ^ Popeye never disappoints! Order: ◆ Classic x2 1100 yen ◆ Shrimp Mayo x2 440 yen ◆ Liver 220 yen ◆ Tomato Shochu 440 yen ◆ Plum Wine 440 yen ◆ Chicken Breast 220 yen ◆ Pork Sagari 220 yen Liver is the favorite! Huge liver, juicy and delicious sauce. Everything is satisfying, with generous portions. Popeye, the owner, is also very friendly! He gives attention when needed, making the drinking experience cozy. After getting a warm buzz from alcohol, it was great to stop by before heading to the Snow Festival's projection mapping. Thank you for the meal!

A casual and special restaurant where you can easily eat during breaks at work. The interior has only a counter. However, before you know it, the restaurant is full. The popularity of this place must be due to the friendly staff, fast service, and delicious food. If only I had more time, I would have loved to have a drink with the staff. Thank you for the meal.

Here, in between visiting a few places for daytime drinking, we stop by to have some food. It seems like the menu has changed now? I ordered the tomato cheese skewers, green chili minced chicken skewers, chicken tenderloin with plum and wasabi, and whole green peppers. The dishes we usually order are quite similar, right? Thank you for the always delicious yakitori! The whole green pepper is especially amazing, right? I'll definitely come back again!!

I can drink from noon. I had a Dewar's highball and the recommended jumbo Aonanban tsukune, which had a good level of spiciness and was delicious. I wanted to try various things, but I was full. Even in this cold weather, the owner was wearing short sleeves. His arms were muscular like Popeye! He is also very friendly. It's a place where you can easily drop by. Next time, I want to come for some skewers! Thank you for the meal!

I felt like having yakitori around 3 PM on Wednesday. I had been curious about this place for a while, and on Wednesdays, it's ladies' day with all drinks half price! They even have Happy Hour specials. They offer great lunch sets as well. I heard it's usually crowded, but this time it was empty. I sat at the counter. It was a bit cold, so I moved to a table in the back. The owner, a cute lady in a sleeveless top, asked if I was okay near the grill. I ordered a few skewers. They were big, tender, juicy, and delicious. They didn't charge for the appetizers, which was very generous. The snacks were only 250 yen each, and the bean sprout namul was tasty and plentiful. The seasoning was a bit light, but it was just right. The atmosphere was nice, and the food was so good that I ended up ordering more than I planned. I was so full and satisfied, and the fact that the drinks were half price made it even better. It was a great deal! I want to go back again! Thank you for the delicious meal! Highly recommended!

Pivot in the middle of 2022 opens every day at 12 PM. It's a yakitori restaurant where you can enjoy drinking during the day. The restaurant has a long counter and the owner is very friendly with a nice smile. It's a cozy place even for solo drinkers. On Wednesdays, it's Ladies Day with a coupon for half-price drinks! There is no appetizer, so the "bean sprout namul" for 250 yen comes out quickly with your choice of seasoning. You can order yakitori starting from 200 yen each, and they cut and skewer the meat for each order. The meat is cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful whether with salt or sauce. Except for Wednesdays, there are discounted sets available for day drinking until 4 PM. It was delicious, thank you for the meal!

Solo lunch drinking at the second bar here. I was curious about this place because recently my reviewers have been repeatedly visiting and giving high ratings. The lunch drinking set costs 1,320 yen and is available from 12:00 to 16:00. It includes 3 assorted skewers chosen by the owner, 1 side dish from a selection of several, and 2 drinks. The skewers on the day were "chicken skewer, tripe skewer, chicken liver skewer", the side dish was "potato salad", and the drink strategy was to switch from draft beer to highball. The grilled chicken has a large portion size and is visually appealing. It is cooked on a large-scale type of grill while being sprayed with mist, resulting in a soft and juicy texture. Although I usually prefer salt, the teriyaki sauce on this grilled chicken seemed to work well so I ordered it, which was the right choice. The teriyaki sauce, with a restrained sweetness and rich flavor, enhances the grilled chicken even more. The fact that the owner's personality is reflected not only in the atmosphere of the restaurant but also in the dishes, while minimizing the drawbacks of being a one-man operation, is the reason for the high rating of this place. I felt the comfortable ambiance when sitting at the counter. According to my friend, the jumbo tsukune is also recommended.

I went wandering around looking for my lost bike and stumbled upon "Maruhachi Popai" which I had been checking out before. I remembered they had a "day drinking set" so I decided to go in. Two drinks, one snack, and three assorted skewers for ¥1,320. The snack was potato salad, and the assorted skewers were pork belly, gizzard, and chicken... delicious! It was a great deal.

Today, I finished work early so I made a detour to Popai to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. Even though it's Ladies Day on Wednesdays, during the anniversary period, drinks are half price so it's a great deal for anyone to enjoy☆ I predicted that it would be fully booked at night, so I visited during a gap in my schedule. Some of the menu items I wanted were popular and already sold out by early afternoon, but I was able to enjoy the reliable chicken cartilage skewers that I always order. I also ordered the cheese tomato bake (some people might not notice that they have this and the butter soy sauce potatoes), salted tripe skewers, and teriyaki pork skewers. I also had bean sprout namul as a palate cleanser. Lately, I start with a beer and then switch to a mega highball to work on my tolerance (lol). If you feel like having yakitori during a daytime drink, this is a recommended spot. They also have great lunch drink sets. I'll definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal♪
