I recently discovered a bakery called "Hitosaji" on a certain website. It is located in the middle of a residential area up a hill in Maruyama Nishi-cho. It's best to drive there as the climb on a sunny day on a bike was quite challenging. The bakery is only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The shop is small, with a range of baked goods like cookies and cream puffs in a display case. When I entered, no one was there for a while, but eventually, someone came down from the second floor. I bought the "Cheese and Earl Grey Mousse with Peach Compote on Top for 400 yen" and the "Hitosaji Cream Puff for 300 yen." Even though I usually don't buy baked goods, these looked so delicious that I couldn't resist. I took them home and put them in the fridge for dessert after dinner. The Cheese and Earl Grey Mousse with Peach Compote was amazing, with a layer of peach slices on top of two layers of mousse with a hint of Earl Grey. It was incredibly delicious for the price of 400 yen. The cream puff had a nice vanilla scent and remained crispy even after some time. I wonder how they achieve such perfect baking. Next time, I will definitely go back for their baked goods. Thank you for the delicious treats!

I sell baked goods in a corner of my home. I was worried if the directions were correct because it is in Maruyama Nishimachi. When I arrived, there was a small space where only up to 2 people could enter, and they were selling cream puffs and cookies, all of them very cute. This time, I had pre-ordered a Christmas set. The bonus peanut Santa is adorable. The cake-like items were moistly baked and the aroma was appetizing.

This is a lovely pastry shop with a warm atmosphere located in a corner of a residential area. It feels like a hidden gem that only I know about. To get there, go straight up the hill towards Nishi Maruyama Hospital, then turn left at the sign for the "Training Center entrance" and it's right there. It might be a bit tricky to find at first, but since it's located on a corner lot, you'll get used to it. The black sesame cookies and bread are all handmade and delicious, perfect for gifts for friends.
