JR Shiraishi Station area... About a 5-minute walk from the station, I visited the "Shiraishi Machizukuri House," a "support facility for workers." The spacious and bright interior with large windows had tables comfortably arranged. There were two groups of customers, three people in total, two male and female staff on the floor, and a middle-aged woman in the kitchen, who seemed to be the owner. After being served a glass of water, I read the menu, which included items like "Milk, Amazake @100, Soft drinks @200, Coffee @250, Hot sandwich @350, Shaved ice @100, Cream zenzai @350, Ice cream @200, Beef tendon curry @500, and Japanese-style hamburger rice bowl @500," among others. The cost performance was outstanding. I ordered the "Cold Shabu Udon @400." It was served in about 7 minutes, along with pickles, chopsticks, and paper napkins. The cold shabu consisted of pork, sunny lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onsen egg, and sesame dressing. I found the dressing a bit too strong, but it was served separately for adjustments. The udon seemed to be frozen, with a firm and chewy texture that went well with the sesame dressing. The pickles of radish and carrots had a good balance of acidity and sweetness, making them a perfect side dish. Overall, the quality of the meal for this price was excellent. The drink that came with the meal was only 150 yen, making it a great deal. The restaurant seemed to blend well as a relaxing spot for residents. Thank you for the meal.
