On a certain holiday, I decided to have lunch at Soup Stock Tokyo, a restaurant located inside Maruyama Class which I had never visited before. The restaurant is on the first floor, with a spacious layout consisting of tables of various sizes. The background music playing was calming guitar music. From the menu on that day, I chose the "Mozuku Seaweed and Roasted Tea Porridge (S - 470 yen)" and "Iced Oolong Tea (Set - 210 yen)" as I didn't have any particular preference. Taking the first bite... Oh, the soup had small slices of okra on the surface and cubes of umeboshi-flavored yam, with mozuku seaweed in the porridge. The initial unfamiliar fragrance turned out to be from the roasted tea, and I also noticed the soft, almost melting daikon or winter melon inside. Moving on to the oolong tea... Wow, it had a taste similar to jasmine tea, which was nice. Luckily, the timing was good as it wasn't too crowded. Thank you for the meal.

This is the Soup Stock Tokyo Maruyama Class 1st floor, Maruyama branch. Since it was still breakfast time, I had a light breakfast with soup. In this cold season, I was intrigued by the seasonal limited soup. I ordered the "Warm Vegetable and Cheese Brown Stew" in a "Regular Cup Set" (800 yen). The set comes with a choice of white sesame rice, stone oven bread, or whole wheat bread, so I chose the whole wheat bread. After about 5 minutes of waiting, my number was called. The Warm Vegetable and Cheese Brown Stew had a sweet onion flavor, a creamy texture from milk and cheese, and was very warming. The warm vegetables included broccoli, potatoes, and carrots, and the beef was tender and flavorful. A perfect soup for the cold season! The whole wheat bread was served warm. It had a light and crispy texture with a nice grainy feel from the whole wheat. It was delicious even when dipped into the soup! The staff at this restaurant is also very friendly. You can enjoy seasonal soups at Soup Stock Tokyo, tailored to each season!

The frozen ground in the park this morning was not just covered with frost, but the definite chill had reached deep into the earth, as if taking root. Remembering the warmth I felt when the ground still held heat, it was a lunch that provided a different kind of warmth than soup. The ramen shop on the third floor was full, so I hurriedly came down the escalator. The sesame-flavored rice was amazing. The borscht, with chunks of beef and potatoes, wasn't bad, but the aftertaste lingered for a long time. The two croutons were a nice touch, but they became too crispy if left as is. The soup had a good ratio, but could use some improvement. The large potatoes were a surprise. The rice with sesame was delicious! The onion soup with half-cooked egg and cheese had a strong black pepper flavor. It was slightly warm when served, but heating it up would enhance the taste. The menu was inspired by the Italian home-cooked dish "Cipollata." Both soups had good flavors. The gluten-free lobster bisque, listed as the number one popular item, seemed to be a must-try. The secret of the soup—its taste cannot be fully described—was intriguing, and I look forward to trying the lobster bisque next time. The service was excellent, and the staff seemed well-trained and kind. Their hospitality was evident, and I felt grateful for that.

Today, I was so hungry before going to the gym that I made a detour (laughs).
- Chicken breast and tomato miso soup
I instantly decided on this soup because I love the flavor of miso that brings out the taste of the ingredients. The soup is made with chicken breast moistened with miso, and it has a rich and full-bodied taste with the acidity and sweetness of tomatoes. Delicious! Thank you, Soup Stock! Now, off to the gym I go.

I finally got to visit the store in Hokkaido after it has been open for a while. I have been regularly ordering their soup for years now. It's a favorite of mine because it's easy to just heat up in the microwave and enjoy a delicious soup. Having it in the freezer is reassuring. In Tokyo, I found it difficult to dine with children at other stores, but at the Maruyama Clas store, the interior was spacious with plenty of table seats, and we were able to enter with a stroller. It wasn't too crowded during lunchtime, so we could enjoy our meal peacefully. We ordered the Tokyo Borscht, Butter Chicken Curry, and Corn and Sweet Potato Soup set with stone oven bread. The staff was very kind and even provided paper cups for the kids to share. The corn and sweet potato soup is a favorite of my children. The Tokyo Borscht tasted even better when eaten at the store, and the bread was soft and warm as if it was freshly baked. The Butter Chicken Curry was new to me, but it was delicious! It had a nice level of spiciness, which might be a bit too much for kids. The staff was kind and lovely, and I am still a fan of Soup Stock.

Located on the first floor of Maruyama Class directly connected underground from Maruyama Koen Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway Tozai Line, this restaurant has a glass-walled, open atmosphere. I ordered the "Soup and Curry Set." The soup was "Tokyo Borscht" and the curry was "Onion Curry" with a small portion of rice. I was given a number at the entrance and seated at an available table. In about 5 minutes, my order arrived. The curry had a slight spiciness, not sweat-inducing hot, with a refreshing, juicy texture from the abundance of zucchini and onions. The Borscht soup had a flavorful and rich taste, served piping hot. The large chunks of carrots and potatoes provided a satisfying bite. The beef in the soup was tender and flavorful. The "Soup and Curry Set" cost 990 yen including tax, with calorie information displayed for those conscious of their intake.

* Dining alone as a woman * Before getting my nails done, I decided to kill some time by going to this place with very low expectations (for no reason). Since it was my first time, I let them know and they kindly explained how to order. It may seem trivial, but this kind of thing is really important to me and it made a big difference in my mood. Today's curry was Ratatouille curry, which I really wanted to try, but they only offered it with a soup (S) as a set. So, I ended up ordering Borscht instead with a smaller portion of rice. I really regretted my mindset before entering. Both the curry and the soup were incredibly delicious. I was even moved by the difference between my expectations and the reality. I'm not sure if the curry changes daily, weekly, or monthly, but it seems to be the only option available. So, if they have a curry that doesn't interest me much, I'll go for the Borscht with bread next time. I would love to come back if I have the chance.

Located on the first floor of Maruyama Class in the Maruyama area, this soup shop is perfect for warming up after visiting the Hokkaido Shrine. I hadn't been here in about 10 years, but I decided to stop by for a soup break on my way back from the shrine. They offer about 7 types of soups, as well as curry. I ordered the "Regular Cup Set" (740 yen excluding tax) which comes with rice or bread. I asked for extra rice for free and chose the "Tokyo Tori Gara Soup" as I love chicken dishes. The soup, made with a light chicken broth, was healthy and refreshing. It may be a bit small for some, but it was just right for me. I noticed a lot of women enjoying their meals, so the portion size seems to be suitable for them. I'm curious about the curry, so I'd like to try it next time.

One day, it was lunchtime near Maruyama Park on a very cold day. I decided to go to a restaurant instead of walking around in the chilly weather. I entered Maruyama Class and chose a curry set with Ratatouille curry and Samgyetang soup. You can choose between rice or bread with the curry, and the rice portion can be small (+20 yen), regular, or large (which is free). The rice has sesame seeds mixed in. You cannot choose the spiciness level because this place is not a curry restaurant but a soup restaurant, and the curry is considered a type of soup. The Ratatouille curry was a good blend of vegetable acidity, sweetness, and spices, creating a familiar taste. The Samgyetang soup had a delicious combination of flavors and textures from the chicken, green onions, and ginger. It was a nice way to warm up with the curry. Overall, if you visit this place, it's more like a curry restaurant, and the tables are suitable for doing some work while enjoying the soup. I would like to try all the different soups they offer.

Today's lunch was at "Soup Stock Tokyo" inside Maruyama Class. It seems like this place is only found in Hokkaido. I ordered the lobster soup and curry. The restaurant has glass walls, so it's quite visible from outside. It feels a bit embarrassing, haha. The food was served quickly. The soup wasn't as rich as I expected from the name, but it was easy to drink. I was happy that I could choose the amount of rice for the curry, so I went with a regular serving. Actually, I caught a cold and wasn't feeling well, so I wanted something warm to eat and decided to visit Maruyama Class nearby. My body feels warmer now, so I'm heading back home to rest. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I visited Maruyama Class and ordered corn and sweet potato soup, and an iced cafe au lait. The soup had a gentle flavor with a combination that felt like autumn. The iced cafe au lait was okay. The place is new and clean, with full glass windows that make it feel a bit exposed. The prices are on the higher side, typical of Tokyo. Thank you for the meal.

Finally, a Soup Stock Tokyo shop opened in Sapporo (*^O^*) I used to buy their products online before (>_<) I bought some gifts for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day and also bought some for myself while I was there. The cafe-style interior is cozy and you can eat in. There is a showcase for frozen takeout as soon as you enter. I browsed through the options and bought four for gifts and four for myself. They recommend getting a gift box of six, but even with four, it looked nice. For myself, I will heat it up in the microwave at home.
- Lobster Bisque: A lobster bisque that is too much trouble to make at home. It's hard to find good store-bought ones, so I'm happy with this one. It has the right richness and the scent of lobster, but maybe the tomato flavor is a bit strong? I wish it was more creamy and had a stronger lobster flavor, like the frozen lobster bisque that a certain convenience store used to sell.
- Pumpkin Soup: It was not as sweet as I expected, and I wished it had a bit more salt, but it was smooth and easy to drink. I wish there was more of it! I want to buy it again!
- Corn and Sweet Potato Soup: It has a gentle sweetness with a good balance of corn and sweet potato flavors. It's delicious and comforting, I want to buy it again.
There is an extra charge for the gift box, but it looks nice, so I recommend it. But since they are frozen, you have to give them away soon. It's 500 yen for one... expensive. I might end up stocking them at home, but maybe next time I'll get a larger quantity? However, I'm the only one who drinks it, and one cup fills me up surprisingly. Hmm. Next time, I might try their curry or something at the cafe. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the newly opened "Soup Stock Tokyo" at "Maruyama Class" after 4 pm during the consecutive holidays. This popular chain has branches in the Kanto region and up to Kyushu, but this is their first branch in Hokkaido. While it gets very crowded during lunchtime, it was about 40% full in the evening. I ordered the most popular item, the "Lobster Bisque" in a regular cup set with stone oven bread for 780 yen. The soup was surprisingly light with a hint of tomato flavor, and the bread was fluffy and delicious. The service was quick, and the overall experience was enjoyable. I'm curious to try their curry and other soups in the future.

GW is in the second half, and finally the weather has cleared up and the temperature has risen. Thanks to this, the number of cherry blossom viewers in Maruyama Park has started to increase, and Maruyama Kurasu at the entrance is also crowded. In the midst of this, I quietly went to have some soup. There was a line, but luckily I was able to get a seat. This time, I ordered a set of rice and two types of soup. One was the classic pumpkin cream soup, and the other was the limited-time recommended lobster bisque. The pumpkin soup was delicious as expected. I thought it could use a bit more pumpkin flavor, but the amount of soup was surprisingly good, so this level was fine. You can enjoy the richness rather than the sweetness of the pumpkin. The lobster bisque had a slight acidity, but I wonder if lobster actually tastes like this? I think it would have been even better if there was a stronger lobster flavor by extracting the broth from the shells. The soup was delicious, but I wanted more of a punch of lobster flavor.

Located on the first floor of Maruyama Class directly connected to the Tozai Line Maruyama Koen Station of the Sapporo Municipal Subway. The space is filled with a sense of openness with glass walls. Upon entering the entrance, there is a counter where you place your order. I ordered the most popular dish, the "Lobster Bisque". It was quickly served in a cup. I sat at an available table. There are 8 two-person table seats and 10 counter seats. The soup has a vibrant orange color. I took a sip of the soup right away. It was a very rich soup with a definite shrimp flavor. Even though it was just a cup, surprisingly, I felt satisfied. The "Lobster Bisque" costs 630 yen including tax. Next time, I plan to try the curry set.٩( ᐛ )و

I used to go to Tokyo every month, but I always avoided the crowded Soup Stock Tokyo locations in Yaesu, Nihonbashi, Marunouchi, and Ginza. However, they opened a store in Sapporo Maruyama Orix, so I decided to give it a try while taking a walk. I was able to eat smoothly without waiting in line, so I was satisfied. I ordered the Tokyo Borscht and Focaccia regular set for 780 yen. The Borscht was brown and resembled beef stew. Ever since trying authentic Russian cuisine in Wakkanai, the northernmost point of Japan, I became a big fan of Borscht. The vivid red color of beets can be intense, but surprisingly, the Borscht was light with the umami of meat and vegetables extracted. Tokyo Borscht doesn't have the red color, and it's more like a beef stew with vegetables and meat simmered slowly. It's delicious for sure, with whole potatoes and large carrots, making it a fun surprise to see what comes next. Don't underestimate soup. Eating it as a set also keeps you full for a long time.

Visited Soup Stock Tokyo at Maruyama Class Soup Stock Tokyo Maruyama Store in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido on April 24, 2019 for lunch. It was very crowded. My companion ordered the lobster bisque and I had the corn and sweet potato soup. Both were delicious and soothing for my hangover stomach. I think they would be even better with bread, but I only had the soup due to my hangover. It was really tasty. Thank you for the meal.

Due to a virus-related computer malfunction, the migration process to a new desktop computer has been completed. I am still getting used to Windows 10 and am a bit inexperienced due to health reasons. I have resumed liking and commenting, so please continue to support me. [April 2019] "Soup Stock Tokyo Maruyama Store" opened on April 19, 2019 at 10:00 am. It is a specialty soup shop, the first of its kind in Hokkaido. I visited for the first time with my usual companion. The store is located on the first floor of the stylish commercial facility "Maruyama Class" in the central Maruyama area of Sapporo. For the exact location, please check on Tabelog. They offer both dine-in and takeout options. The menu changes weekly at "Soup Stock Tokyo." They have some staple items like the "Tokyo Borscht." As a first-timer, I opted for the "Soup Stock Set" for takeout. This set includes a choice of two soups. I chose rice over bread. ■Soup Stock Set Tokyo Borscht Weight: 220g (after removing packaging) A classic dish made with sautéed onions and beef. Instead of beets, they use onions. The soup contains onions, carrots, celery, garlic, topped with cut lemon and yogurt. It has a sweet onion flavor typical of borscht, with a hint of soy sauce. Lobster Bisque Weight: 186g (after removing packaging) The most popular dish at the store, made with lobster and tomato, offering a rich flavor. White sesame rice Weight: 190g Price: 980 yen (tax included) The "Soup Stock Set" is a great deal as you get to try two different soups. It's quite filling with the two soups. The soups have a nice flavor. Personally, I enjoyed the "Tokyo Borscht." It seems like it will become popular in Sapporo. I wonder which soup I should try next time. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Finally, the popular Soup Stock Tokyo has opened in Hokkaido, after being found all over Tokyo! I ordered the signature dish, Lobster Bisque, and was torn between Pumpkin soup and Corn and Sweet Potato soup. I also got some Focaccia. They warm up the Focaccia before serving, which is a nice touch! The ceramic cup that the soup comes in is really cute (*´∀`*). The portion size is quite generous for a regular size. The Lobster Bisque was very rich and flavorful, and the value for the amount you get is great. It's also delicious when dipped with the Focaccia. The Corn and Sweet Potato soup had a gentle flavor, not really tasting like sweet potato but more of a gentle, sweet corn soup (*´∀`*). Just drinking the soup alone is surprisingly filling! The atmosphere of this Soup Stock location in Hokkaido is very different from the ones in Tokyo, and it's a relaxing space. I initially wondered why the first location wasn't in the city center, but now I understand why it's in Maruyama Class. I hope they continue to expand more and more (*´꒳`*)
