The atmosphere of the shop was comforting, like grandma's house. The shop owner was very polite and it made me happy! I had the pork motsu stew set meal. The rice was free for a large serving, so I got a large portion! I could also have seconds of the miso soup. The motsu was tender, flavorful, and went well with the rice. It was delicious!

I will follow you back~ Yasohachi Nori Bento: 1000 yen The simmered fish set meal was sold out, so I ordered the Yasohachi Nori Bento instead. The toppings on the rice were all delicious, but it was very hot inside without air conditioning and poor air circulation, so I was sweating a lot. The staff noticed my discomfort and kindly offered me cold tea multiple times. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, so I would like to go back when it's cooler to try the simmered fish set meal next time.

"Rice with extra large portions for free" ◆ Yasohachi Nori Bento Extra Large [1,000 yen] ◆ Motsu Stir-fry Set Extra Large [1,000 yen] A new restaurant has opened in the former location of the popular tapioca shop Tea Sign (^-^) It's a cozy little eatery with a nice feel, featuring natural ingredients and delicious rice cooked in a traditional pot. First up is the Yasohachi Nori Bento. True to its name, it's packed with toppings like salmon, fried chicken, and tempura chicken ham on a bed of nori rice! The rice is elegant even in the extra large portion, but the generous and tasty side dishes make up for it (;^ω^) Next, the Motsu Stir-fry Set. It's currently offered as a trial menu due to the regular Motsu Stew often selling out, but this dish is incredibly delicious! Stir-fried chicken offal like heart, liver, and skin, topped with crispy burdock tempura. The generous portion is impressive. This dish definitely deserves a permanent spot on the menu! And to finish off, the recommended dashi broth. Oh, it's so good... with every sip, you can't help but let out a satisfied sigh. It's a favorite among Japanese people. This new restaurant will make you grateful to be born Japanese. Be sure to check it out (^-^)

Visit on August 21, 2023. The new restaurant that makes Totoron cry does not have a phone for the shop (^o^;)①Many shops do not install NTT fixed phones because of the maintenance costs and ②being too busy during business hours to answer calls. However, this is for the convenience of the shop, not the customers. From a customer's perspective, it can be confusing. In case of forgetting something or wanting to confirm things like sold out items or temporary closures before going to eat, not having a contact number can be very inconvenient. Also, they cannot even register on Tabelog (^_^;) Even if you ask the management, sometimes they won't make it the next day (^^ゞIf it's just for reason ①, you can simply have a dedicated incoming call smartphone. Now, I visited this place on the first day of opening, but they were sold out and I had to turn back. When I visited again, they were closed on Sundays (^o^;) So, on Monday, I made my third attempt and finally got in (^_^;) The menu had three choices (lol): Yosohachi Nori Bento for 1,000 yen, simmered fish set meal for 1,200 yen, or motsu-ni set meal for 1,000 yen. I ordered the Nori Bento. While waiting, the motsu-ni set meal of the customer next to me was served. Oh! It was quite a generous portion! Oh, maybe I should have ordered that one instead, haha. Now, here comes my Totoron Nori Bento (*^^*) It also came in a sushi barrel and had a good portion♪ On top of the rice were 2 chicken wings, salmon or trout sashimi, kakiage, tamagoyaki, potato salad, and some kind of stem. However, it's difficult to eat as it is, you need a small plate to separate the side dishes. Also, you need to eat the chicken wings with your hands, so I wish they could change it to zangi. And maybe the potato salad shouldn't be on top of the rice? Also, I wonder if the tasteless stem of the leaf could be a side dish? It looks extravagant, but did they actually try eating it themselves? If they don't make these changes, it might end up being an unpopular bento. I've decided to try the motsu-ni set meal next time.

Lunch at Yasohachinori Bento for 1000 yen is very filling. It may look messy, but the grilled salmon, squid with roe, and chicken ham all taste great. Next time, I want to try the simmered fish.
