I visited a curry restaurant in Sapporo in May while on a homecoming trip. It was European-style curry at Domon in Sapporo area. The parking lot is located behind the restaurant, making it a bit challenging to visit during snowy weather. The interior of the restaurant gives off a ramen shop vibe, but the smell of curry is inviting. I ordered the following dishes: European-style beef tongue curry for 1,200 yen, with medium spiciness and a small rice portion for my wife. The staff kindly adjusted the portion size for her and offered the extra to me, which I happily accepted. The curry had a rich and flavorful taste, with large chunks of tender beef tongue. I also ordered the European-style lamb curry for 1,000 yen, with an additional 250 yen for the mozzarella cheese version. The dish had a nice appearance, with the base being the same European-style curry but with a different taste due to the lamb, spiciness, and mozzarella cheese. The curry had a good balance of umami and richness, and the lamb added a nice flavor. The mozzarella cheese was not overwhelming and complemented the dish well. The fried onions on top of the rice also added a nice touch to the overall flavor. Overall, the meal had a good cost-performance ratio, delicious taste, and a variety of menu options. The staff's service was also impressive. While the restaurant may lack in decor, it makes up for it with flavorful dishes. It was a great dining experience.

This month's fourth food walk was at "Oufu Kariidomon" where they offer European-style beef tongue curry with colorful vegetables as toppings. They use beef tongue sourced from the hometown of beef tongue, Sendai, to make their European-style curry and soup curry. The restaurant has only L-shaped counter seats. The basic curry options include European-style beef tongue curry, beef tongue soup curry, European-style lamb curry, hormone curry, and soup curry, and Pakistani curry. I chose the European-style beef tongue curry. Toppings include options like doubling the amount of beef tongue and 12 other choices, including Zangi curry in collaboration with the popular bar Las Vegas. The level of spiciness ranges from mild, medium, spicy, to very spicy. I chose the medium level. Rice options include regular (200g), large (300g), and extra large (400g). I chose the large size. The curry arrived in less than 10 minutes after ordering, handed over the counter, with plenty of deep-fried colorful vegetables on top of the roux. Underneath were two large slices of beef tongue. The roux had a sweet onion flavor and a rich taste of beef tongue. The medium level of spiciness might be mild for those who enjoy spicy food. The beef tongue was well-cooked and tender. The rice was barley rice with fried onions on top. The colorful vegetables included eggplant, bell pepper, carrot, daikon radish, pumpkin, cabbage, broccoli, paprika, cherry tomato, lotus root, potato, sweet potato, and enoki mushrooms, all fried to perfection. They also provide Fukujinzuke on the table. There are parking spaces for three cars behind the restaurant, but I used a nearby coin parking lot.

Arrived at the restaurant at 1:30 pm on a holiday. There were two groups of customers already there, and one group of one person arrived after. This was my 8th visit in a little over a year. Besides the owner, there was one staff member. The "European-style beef tongue curry" had increased in price by 100 yen since my last visit, but everything else was mostly the same. In these times, it is truly commendable. They had added new menu items. This time, I tried the "Pakistan curry" (950 yen) at a medium spice level, and added the usual "extra large portion of broccoli" (300 yen) as a topping. It arrived about 10 minutes after the other customers' orders. The dish came with a slice of lemon. The curry had tender chicken with a Pakistani flavor, spicy and delicious! For medium-spice lovers, it was quite spicy but in a pleasant way. And the abundance of deep-fried broccoli made me happy as always. I was very satisfied with the taste once again. Next time, I will try the other new menu item, the "hormone curry".

The rich aroma is irresistible. I chose the spicy option but I want even more heat, so I want to try the extra spicy one next time. The flavor is strong, so even with a large portion of rice, it's totally fine. I was about 80% full, so for those who want to fully enjoy their meal, I recommend getting a large portion of rice or adding extra toppings.

Visited the 12th curry restaurant on my Hokkaido tour. (The 10th place was not to my liking so the review is not public. The 11th place was a food truck purchase, not listed on Tabelog, and I had a wonderful beef curry. I tried to register the food truck, but I couldn't because I didn't know the necessary information like the phone number.) Arrived at 10:57 on the weekend and got the pole position. They opened at 10:58, two minutes earlier than the opening time. I sat at the farthest counter seat and looked at the menu. I had pre-decided on the European-style beef tongue curry for 1,200 yen, spicy, with less rice. The European-style beef tongue curry arrived in 3 minutes. They showed me the amount of rice I had served in advance and asked, "Is this amount okay?" which was a good impression. The curry sauce had cream on top, fried onions on top of the beef tongue and rice. They also provided Fukujinzuke on the table to accompany the rice. I started with the curry sauce. The spiciness was just right for a European-style curry, with a mild spicy taste. The curry sauce was full of onion flavor and I think it was a wonderful curry sauce. The beef tongue consisted of two large pieces. The thick-cut tongue was simmered to perfection. It was very delicious. I would like to visit their shop in Kokubuncho, Sendai as well. There is soup curry available, but the roux curry is also delicious, so I tried it for the first time. The base is already tan curry. The chunky and satisfying portion size is amazing. I added fried broccoli as a topping in half size. It was so delicious, I finished it all in no time.

This is my 4th time visiting! The beef tongue curry here is so delicious and can only be tasted here, so I keep coming back! The people who I recommended it to were also very happy. The beef tongue is big and overall very satisfying, so I think it's very popular among men! For women, I've seen some leave a little bit or share with someone they came with, so maybe asking for less rice would be a good idea? That's what I personally do when I'm alone ☺️ Today, I topped it with deep-fried garlic. Thank you for the meal!

Visited around 11:30 on Saturday. Across the road is Soup Curry 34. This place has a branch in Sendai and is famous for its beef tongue curry. I ordered the European-style beef tongue curry for 1200 yen, with an extra-large portion of rice (300g) for an additional 100 yen, and the topping of 'super! Mountain of broccoli' for 300 yen. Soon after, it arrived. Literally a mountain of broccoli. Can't see the curry... The beef tongue is thick but tender, with a satisfying chewiness. You can definitely taste the sweetness unique to beef tongue. The deep-fried broccoli is delicious, bringing out the natural flavor of broccoli. The spiciness is a bit on the hot side, so those who like spicy food may want to try the extra spicy option. There are many other menu items that look interesting. Thank you for the meal!

During the consecutive holidays, I visited this place for the first time in a year, thinking that maybe they would be open at night. Although they no longer have regular holidays, sometimes they are unexpectedly closed during consecutive holidays. However, there was no special announcement on SNS, so I thought it would be okay, and it was indeed open. It was past 6:30 PM and there were 4 customers ahead of me. At some point, I found myself alone, and later there were 2 more groups of customers. As other reviews mentioned, both the curry and soup curry have been raised in price, but they have also added new dishes like Pakistani curry and hormone curry. This time, I ordered the super spicy Pakistani curry with crispy chicken leg and mozzarella cheese. I was curious about how spicy the super spicy would be, but it wasn't that intense, even though it had pink pepper on top. When the cheese is added, you can hardly taste the spiciness. The chicken was tender as always and went well with the Pakistani curry. The cheese was still rich and creamy. Maybe I should have ordered the rice for 300 yen. I like the Pakistani curry because you can enjoy the authentic taste of curry. Next time, I want to try the hormone curry, but if I add toppings, it will cost close to 2000 yen...

I visited "Oufu Curry Domon" in Hiragishi, Toyohira-ku, Sapporo, which I had always wanted to go to. The parking lot is located behind the store, but it may be difficult to find, so please refer to the attached photo. I sat at the counter and looked at the menu, feeling indecisive. I ordered the "European-style beef tongue curry (medium spicy) for 1,200 yen" with toppings of "Shiraoi beef hamburger for 580 yen" and "colorful vegetables for 450 yen," while my companion ordered the "European-style beef tongue curry (sweet) with toppings of "Shiraoi beef croquette for 450 yen" and "lightly piled broccoli for 200 yen." The dishes were served in about 8 minutes. The "European-style beef tongue curry" had a rich and delicious roux with tender beef tongue that was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The "hamburger" was packed with the umami of Japanese beef and was also very tasty. The "colorful vegetables" allowed us to enjoy over 10 different types of vegetables, each carefully cooked and visually appealing. The "croquette" was juicy and meaty, with a crispy coating, just as delicious as the hamburger. I was extremely satisfied to finally try the "beef tongue curry" at Domon.

The price of the European-style beef tongue curry has increased from 790 yen to 1200 yen since the opening, which is understandable. However, today I wanted to try the beef tongue curry, so I ordered the European-style beef tongue curry with extra rice, extra spicy, and double the beef tongue topping, along with a generous serving of broccoli, totaling 2200 yen. I was thrilled to see the return of the extra beef tongue topping. The quality of the beef tongue can vary greatly from day to day. Today, the beef tongue was a bit tough, making it harder to shred compared to usual. It's understandable that there are variations in quality when dealing with living creatures. The European-style curry doesn't have a strong spice flavor, and sometimes it feels like something is missing, like it might not be recognized as curry if eaten blindfolded. It has a good richness and sweetness, but I always felt like something was missing, which I now realize is the lack of spice flavor. Despite that, it is still a delicious curry. First visit. It's small but has a parking lot. The food is delicious, but I don't think I'll come back. The portions are small, the wagyu mince cutlet is tiny and expensive. The base curry is beef tongue curry, so I reluctantly chose the European-style lamb curry! I wish they had a regular beef curry. My son had the Pakistani curry with mince cutlet topping. It's 450 yen extra. I avoided it because it was 580 yen, but the hamburger was still bigger. If it's going to be close to 1,500 yen, I'd choose a different restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Delicious! The beef tongue European-style curry is outstanding! The umami of the beef explodes from the first bite. It's not too salty, not too sweet, but has a strong flavor. It's a truly authentic European-style curry. This might be the best European-style curry in the city. There is also a parking lot in the back. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious!

I arrived around 11:30 on a regular day. There was snow, so I found it difficult to park in the parking lot and ended up parking in a coin parking lot on the opposite side of the shop for 200 yen per hour. I ordered Pakistani curry with beef tongue curry and Wagyu hamburger topping, as well as hormone curry with extra broccoli topping. It was medium-spicy and delicious, with plenty of rice. Even those who aren't good with spicy food can enjoy the medium-spicy level. The Pakistani curry was spicier than the beef tongue curry. I also got the beef tongue curry to go for 1,100 yen.

The menu offered not only the main beef tongue curry, but also Pakistani curry, hormone curry, soup curry, and more. Although I initially planned to have the beef tongue curry, I came across a new menu item, the 'Lamb Curry'! I decided to try the 'European-style Lamb Curry @990 yen' with extra lamb @380 yen and extra rice @50 yen, and requested it to be spicy. It was served in about 10 minutes. The lamb had a strong flavor and the curry was delicious with a rich taste. Even though I asked for it to be spicy, it was still mild and easy to eat. The meat was chunky and had a distinct lamb flavor with a firm texture. The sausage had a stronger lamb scent and a punchy flavor. Personally, I enjoyed the lamb, but I think I prefer the beef tongue curry. With the extra portion, I was stuffed by the end of the meal. The prices had gone up a bit since my last visit, but considering the current situation, it was understandable. There are still many menu items I am curious about, so I will definitely visit again. I can't go often because curry doesn't agree with my stomach, but I just had to come here. The hamburger and menchi katsu are also full of meaty flavor and incredibly tasty. I will definitely come back here again. Next time, I'll try adding a chicken leg on top.

European-style curry rice. I love it, Domon!! Beef tongue curry with broccoli topping. This combination is a hit. The beef tongue curry is really rich and delicious. It's currently my number one favorite. I also love the mountain of deep-fried broccoli. It looks like a tree, doesn't it? Christmas curry, haha.

I passed by this restaurant in Hiragishi and decided to have lunch here after researching nearby options. There is a parking lot for three cars behind the restaurant. The interior is clearly a ramen shop, not a curry place. There is one sunken seating area and a narrow counter with seating for eight. You wait inside until a seat becomes available. After waiting for about 30 minutes, I sat at the counter and ordered the beef tongue curry, adding a White Ezo Wagyu hamburger as a topping. I chose the regular rice portion, with the option to add extra rice for 50 yen. I selected the spicy level as hot. When the curry arrived after a short wait, it looked delicious. It had large chunks of beef tongue and the hamburger topping was so big it almost covered the rice. The rice had brown rice mixed in, which was a nice touch. The hamburger was juicy and flavorful, and the beef tongue was incredibly tender. The curry was spicy, rich, and incredibly tasty. I think this is one of the top curry places you must try.

Visited at 14:00. I ordered the "Beef Tongue Curry" medium spicy for ¥1,100 and added the recommended "Super! Mountain of Broccoli" for ¥300 from my friend. I also upgraded to a large serving of rice, 300g for an additional ¥50. The total came to ¥1,450. The restaurant is filled with the aroma of curry and broccoli. The dish arrived with a generous portion of deep-fried broccoli on top. It looked luxurious and delicious. The curry had large pieces of beef tongue. I took a bite and it was delicious!... but it was lukewarm. I felt it was a shame. I realized that temperature is an important factor in creating the taste of a dish. The parking lot can accommodate up to 3 cars and can be accessed through the entrance between the buildings shown in image 8.

Long time no visit. The price of the European-style beef tongue curry has been raised from 980 yen to 1100 yen. It started at 790 yen, then went up to 890 yen, 980 yen, and now 1100 yen. Considering the current economic situation, it's understandable, but it's a bit complicated feeling since the initial price was too good. The option to double the beef tongue for an additional 380 yen has been temporarily suspended, so it must be tough for them. Today, I tried topping the curry with a White Horse beef hamburger for the first time. Personally, I'm not too picky about the difference between ground meat and non-ground meat, so while the hamburger was tasty, I didn't have any special thoughts about it. The beef tongue has been a bit tough in the past two visits, but today it was perfectly tender and delicious. Beef tongue curry 1100 yen, extra rice 100 yen, White Horse beef hamburger 580 yen, total 1780 yen. Thank you for the meal.
