I was thinking about passing the time while drinking coffee, but since I always go to Starbucks, I thought it might be nice to try somewhere different for a change. While walking around, I came across this shop. I decided to choose a coffee here since it's not a place I usually go to. Today's coffee was Yellow Bourbon. It had a refreshing aroma with a strong bitterness, just as advertised. I like a bit of bitterness, so I enjoyed this type of bean. One thing I liked was being able to watch the process of the staff brewing the coffee. It might not be a good feeling to be watched closely by customers, but I was fascinated by the staff carefully brewing the coffee through the plastic barrier.

I love hospitals kabo-cha(-_-;)... I want to stop liking them (laughs) I was released safely today, so I'm going to drink coffee at the "Kahi Chakan" in Aeon and go home. Oh! I took a day off today, so I'm not slacking off. I always take "breaks," not slack off, you know...(^▽^;) Today, I'll have the Classic Mocha for 270 yen. It's cheaper to drink at the food court (laughs). They carefully hand drip each cup here, not just push a button, so I'm happy. The Classic Mocha is quite bitter, with almost no acidity. "Can I Tea House" I haven't had coffee, it's Saturday in Sapporo. Today I came by bus so my range of activities is limited. I came to Kuan Yuan to take a morning bath, so I decided to have ramen at Kuan Yuan. And going to AEON Kuwanon store seems like a good choice. For Saturday lunch, I thought it would be crowded, but it's not usually like this. In one cafe, there was a notice of closing in the future. What a shame. Did they lose to corona? Even Shizuo Ken lost. I didn't drink coffee today, so I decided to find "Can I Tea House" and have coffee. I actually wanted to buy beans to take home, but I don't want to carry more stuff. I ordered the "French Blend". I like the coffee at Can I Tea House. It depends on the person brewing, but they brew it carefully. A carefully brewed coffee is delicious. The person here is very nice, but I may not have that much attachment. It's strong because it's midday during a bus ride at night. I've already had two beers since the first thing in the morning, so it's the time I get the sleepiest. It has a slight bitterness and a little fruity flavor, making it quite a flavorful coffee. I don't drink blends often, but blends have their own charm.

I visited the Café Kafukatei at AEON Kuwanazono store for the first time! It's convenient to have AEON right next to the station. At 10 in the morning, there weren't many people. Inside, there are a lot of shops, as expected of Sapporo. There are curry shops that you don't see in Obihiro. I'll have some coffee. There's my favorite Café Kafukatei. The previous customer was an older lady buying beans for her company. They grind the beans on the spot, with 3-4 types to choose from. It takes about 10 minutes. I chose the recommended Classic Mocha coffee for 270 yen. The staff were very friendly. The coffee was made using hand drip right in front of me. I enjoyed it at a clean table in the free space. It's a pretty deep cup. The bitterness is just right, with a slight hint of acidity and sweetness. Hmm, it's delicious coffee. Now I want to visit other branches even more. Of course, the coffee is delicious, but the coffee jelly is also delicious. It's a product called "Kokyoku Muzato Coffee Jelly" which seems to be a collaboration with Kyogoku Meisui. It's unsweetened, so there is gum syrup and coffee cream separately inside. The bottom of the container has protrusions (like a pudding cup) to make it easy to transfer to another container by breaking them and allowing air to enter. The coffee jelly is rich and tasty! It's just a bit pricey at almost 400 yen. I wish the coffee cream was more flavorful, as it is too thin and gets overshadowed by the coffee jelly (laughs).

Today's story is a heartwarming one. After feeling disappointed by the steak at "Gyappari Steak AEON Sapporo Kuwazono Store," I was thinking about heading home when I passed by "Kahi Chakan AEON Kuwazono Store." I noticed they were out of coffee, and that's when I decided, "Let's go to Kyoto." Just kidding. I decided to buy a soda coffee. Just kidding. I decided to buy some coffee. I usually try to stay calm and composed, but the disappointing steak must have really gotten to me because I was feeling impatient and frustrated. It's troublesome (；一_一). There was a gentleman in white pants ordering drip coffee. Not "trip" coffee, haha! While the gentleman in white pants was waiting for his coffee to be brewed, I was choosing beans from the display when...the gentleman in white pants said to the staff, "Please take this person's order first." What an amazing person!! (*´∀`)♪ In response, the staff said, "Oh, that fat guy just likes to look but not buy, so he's not a customer. It's okay to leave him be." Just kidding. To the gentleman in white pants from that time, you are now my "long-legged uncle." Not my "long-tailed grandpa," haha! It's a cryptic phrase. Sorry for the surreal humor. The French roast...the beans are Guatemala Huehuetenango. 100g for 594 yen. It does have a strong bitterness and a good aroma, but it lacks a bit of richness in my opinion. It's easy to drink, but personally, I prefer a stronger coffee.

It's been a while since I had coffee at "Kafuka Teahouse AEON Kuwanazono Store". I had the Soft Blend for 270 yen. Since it's in the food court, it's quite affordable. They don't use a machine to make it, but drip it carefully, one cup at a time. The taste is, of course, delicious as it is from Kafuka Teahouse. I also bought some bread to go with it. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely use their services again.

This is Sanko Aeon. I had lunch at an izakaya under the elevated train tracks. I bought coffee at Kaho Chakan to think about dessert. I ordered the Strong Blend for 270 yen. The beans expanded a lot while brewing! It was amazing! The lady taught me how to brew it. I don't know what the right way is, but it's fun to brew it well. I learned a lot from asking questions while she brewed it. I enjoyed it with a donut at the food court! It has a good balance of depth, bitterness, and richness, and I like this coffee! Also, it's good that this container doesn't get too hot, so my lips didn't get burned. Thank you for the meal!

I ordered a Soft Blend coffee at the Ion Sapporo Kuwazon store. It was only 270 yen and they brewed it using hand drip, which was a great deal. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere in the food court was nice for relaxing and enjoying my drink. It was the perfect break during shopping. Thank you for the meal.

Today's recommendation is the Karoshi Traja, which has a refined bitterness and rich flavor. I didn't quite understand it, but when I ordered it, the barista started brewing it and asked me to wait a moment. Another customer tried to order, but was told to wait. The customer patiently waited. I watched the meticulous drip brewing process. I sat in the eat-in corner and had a meeting while enjoying the coffee. I don't have the vocabulary to describe the taste of coffee, but it was the type I like, without any acidity.

In a review from before January 2018, it was mentioned that every Monday is Happy Monday with 50% off takeout coffee. However, when I visited on a Monday this time, I couldn't find any information about it. When I asked, I was told that the promotion has ended. Nevertheless, the hand drip coffee they served was delicious. I had the Traja for 370 yen. Today, they also gave me a small treat as a service. Thank you for the meal.

On the second day of the new year, many restaurants are still closed for the holidays, but the dining options at the shopping center are open and welcoming. I ordered a straight Blue Mountain coffee for 480 yen, which was freshly ground from beans and brewed for about 3 minutes. The staff provided excellent service and I enjoyed my coffee at the nearby food court. The temperature of the coffee is crucial for the best flavor, with 87 degrees being the ideal extraction temperature. I appreciated the attention to detail in preparing the coffee. While I may not be able to discern the quality of the beans, and this may not be my favorite coffee, I have great respect for the staff who brewed it with such dedication.

In May 2017, I visited the Tea House at AEON Kuwanazono store. They had a special offer on Mondays where takeout coffee was 50% off. I couldn't resist and ended up buying the most expensive Blue Mountain No.1 coffee for 285 yen after tax. They carefully made the coffee using hand drip method, and I chose to have it in a mug cup instead of a paper cup. Even though there is no seating area at the Tea House, I was able to enjoy my coffee at the nearby spacious food court. The delicate aroma and gentle acidity of the Blue Mountain coffee made it a delicious treat. Thank you for the meal.

The food court was extremely crowded during lunchtime. I couldn't find a seat anywhere, so I sat on a bench but couldn't relax. I ended up drinking a Classic Mocha in my car while moving around a bit. The recommended coffee at Kahi Tea House, as written, had a rich and bitter taste that was quite satisfying. The Classic Mocha, brewed with a hand drip, was dark roasted and had a good aroma and flavor. I added sugar and coffee creamer for the last sip. In February 2017 at Sogo Aeon, Starbucks was quite crowded so I decided to buy a take-out coffee from Kaho Chakan. This store mainly sells coffee beans, but they also offer take-out coffee for 270 yen. They grind the beans and carefully brew the coffee with hand drip after you order. Today, we ordered the daily recommended "Otaru Classic Blend" for 270 yen. It is brewed one cup at a time using a paper drip method. The cup has a trendy lid with a small hole for sipping, but my wife and I are not skilled enough for that, so we removed the lid and drank the coffee. The Otaru Classic Blend is slightly bitter with a subdued acidity, making it easy to drink. Overall, it was a delicious meal. I had it with my usual companion. The price was discounted from 357 yen to 100 yen including tax, making it a very good deal. Despite the low price, the coffee was very satisfying. I had mine black, while my companion added sugar and milk as usual. Unfortunately, the skilled lady who usually brews the coffee was off that day, which was a disappointment. I also won paper filters in a draw during the sale period. There was complimentary coffee for tasting in front of the store. The taste of the coffee for tasting was not as good as usual, as the skilled lady who usually brews the coffee was unfortunately not there. ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【3rd Post】 ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【March 2013】As it was my 3rd post, I briefly visited the store during the renewal opening. The food court at AEON Sapporo Kuwazono store had been undergoing a major renovation for about a month. Due to this, many new and old stores had changed places. Fortunately, the Kafuka Tea House continued its business. On March 20th at 9 am, the store had a renewal opening. The takeout coffee that was originally priced at 180 yen was on sale for 100 yen during the opening. The lady who brewed the coffee remained the same and continued to make delicious and affordable coffee for a limited time. ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【2nd Post】 ◆◆◆◆◆◆ 【December 2012】For my 2nd post, I visited the store and noticed that the eat-in space had been removed and replaced with gift items. I tried the takeout drip coffee for the first time, and to my surprise, it was very delicious. It seemed even better than the eat-in coffee I used to have. I had a refill because it was both cheap and tasty. The coffee was meticulously brewed, and the taste of Mocha was brought out perfectly. The only minor issue was the amount of coffee beans used, which was more than necessary, following the old-fashioned way of brewing coffee. Despite the cost, the 180 yen takeout coffee was brewed with care, resulting in a great taste.

I bought bread at the bakery inside AEON Kuwan and noticed that they didn't have any drinks. However, I found this place nearby! Normally, I would go to the cafe on the same floor, but for some reason on this day, I decided to try ordering coffee here. Before the renovation, there used to be a few seats for dining in, but now it's only for takeout. The menu listed the "Recommended Coffee of the Day" as "Nicaragua Reguler (250 yen)" and I chose to have it in a paper cup. It took a while to brew the hand-drip coffee. When it arrived, I thought it could have been a bit more, but it was about the size of a teacup. I took a sip... Wow! It has a deep flavor with a good sweetness. There's also a subtle fruity acidity that's quite nice. I usually go to a different cafe, but cheating once in a while might be good too. Thank you for the meal.

I tried a sample of the organic coffee from the Melo Hamaya farm by Domaineica. The coffee had a light acidity and bitterness, making it easy to drink with a sweet and pleasant aftertaste. It had a nice sweet aroma as well. Normally, when I drink coffee, I tense up in preparation for the bitterness and acidity, but with this coffee, that wasn't necessary. I purchased 100g for 709 yen after a 10% discount. The coffee beans can also be purchased online. According to the staff, the cafe sometimes sells rare coffee beans related to Jacu Bird, so it seems like a place worth keeping an eye on.
