On September 2, 2023 (Saturday) at 12:10, for the second visit, my second son, who is studying at a university in the Kanto region, is back home for a long summer vacation from August 28 to September 11! My wife told me, "He wants to have a barbecue at Sato Land again." So, I took my second son there immediately! Our first visit was on September 14, 2014 (Sunday) at 12:30 when my son was still in 5th grade. The memories of the barbecue we had under the clear sky on that first visit seem to be vividly etched in his mind. The barbecue, horseback riding experience, and delicious milk made it a very enjoyable memory for him. It's nice to revisit a place with memories like that. Seeing how much fun my second son had, I felt genuinely happy that I took him there back then. This time, my son drove us from home. The place was crowded with groups, but luckily there was one outdoor table available. The barbecue set (for 2-3 people) costs 3,600 yen and includes Genghis Khan, beef kalbi, pork kalbi, beef tongue, sausages, and vegetables all on one plate. It's great that everything from the meat to the vegetables, grill, and tongs are all included, making it easy to enjoy a barbecue without bringing anything. My son also had rice (150 yen). It had been 9 years since I last ate there, and I was once again surprised by the high quality of the meat. The Genghis Khan was delicious. My son was eating eagerly and asked, "Can we order more?" Of course, we can! We ordered Genghis Khan (900 yen). I was amazed by the freshness of the pork kalbi. It was definitely raw meat, with no smell at all, and the fat was sweet and refreshing. I could only taste the umami of inosinic acid. My son bought some milk. Unfortunately, no matter how hard we tried with the paper pack, we couldn't recreate the milk mustache from that time (´∀`). But that's also a memory, right? Fulfilling my son's request while reminiscing about the happiness from that time under the same clear sky, we once again had a moment wrapped in bliss.
