Cheers with a drink at SORACHI 1984. The appetizer consisted of salted fish guts, sashimi, and three-miso pickles. The salted fish guts had a refreshing taste with yuzu or sudachi. Orders were made through a touch panel (surprisingly). We ordered a variety of dishes, focusing on today's recommendations: - Scallop, asparagus, and corn tempura (630 yen) - Whitebait and green onion omelette (580 yen) - Pork shabu salad (580 yen) - White fish Japanese-style carpaccio (880 yen) - Fried squid tempura (650 yen) - SPF skewers (200 yen) - Domestic chicken skewers (180 yen) - Cold somen noodles with eggplant and myoga (600 yen) - Rice balls with plum, bonito flakes, or dried fish (260 yen) - Rock seaweed porridge (450 yen) The whitebait and green onion omelette was particularly delicious. Also, the scallop, asparagus, and corn tempura with rock salt was a highlight. The cold somen noodles with eggplant and myoga had a bit too much sesame oil, which was a bit disappointing. The filling in the rice balls (plum, bonito flakes, or dried fish) was the same price regardless of the choice. The white fish Japanese-style carpaccio had walnuts and rice crackers on top, adding a nice texture. All the dishes were tasty, reasonably priced, and had a cozy atmosphere, so I would like to come back again.

I visited Hakodate for work after 7 years, and it still feels chilly. There are new alleyways and hotels near the station. I took a streetcar to get away from the hustle and bustle and had a relaxing time in a semi-private room. We toasted with draft beer and had octopus sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, scallops with butter, shrimp tempura, and some other dishes. The order was done through a touch panel. The quality was not surprisingly amazing, but it was a pleasant meal. The main focus was on the meeting rather than the food. After the meal, we were served hojicha ice cream. It was a quiet and enjoyable experience. Thank you for the meal!

No matter what you eat, it's delicious and the menu is extensive! The shrimp sashimi was so fresh that it was still moving and really tasty♡ The owner is also a really nice person, and it has become my favorite restaurant in Hakodate! I will definitely go again! Maguro: "I hate humans..." The photo is of grilled tuna collar. Reservations are required. We opted for the course with all-you-can-drink option. The course was relatively affordable. Since there were three of us, we only got half of the collar, but there was still plenty to eat and it was delicious.

Hakodate's seafood izakaya, Shohhei Hakodate, is located in Kashiwagi-cho, away from the drinking district. It was a favorite spot for me among Hakodate's seafood izakayas! In Kashiwagi-cho, there is a super delicious izakaya called Shohhei. Their sashimi, grilled fish, skewered pork, and tonkatsu (fillet) all rank in my top 3 of all time in Hakodate. The prices are reasonable and it's just the best. #Hakodate #Kashiwagi-cho #izakaya #Shohhei

It's been a while since I visited! The shop seems to have been renovated, with a counter on the first floor and private rooms, and a large banquet area with sunken kotatsu tables on the second floor. The taste is truly exceptional, never disappointing! The prices are reasonable as there are many locals. The appetizers were also elaborate, maybe because it's autumn? This place is definitely a must-visit, with excellent staff service.

I have been living in Hakodate for over 30 years, but I only recently discovered this place. It faces the tram line and is located across from Holiday Sports, which locals would probably know. The staff at the restaurant are very friendly and will ask what you want to eat before preparing it for you. This time, at my father's request, I asked for boiled fish head, and they made boiled sea bream head with soy sauce, which made my father very happy. The "Kasube Chinese-style ankake" that I had on my first visit was so delicious that I had to request it again this time. I also highly recommend the sashimi platter, Kawahagi liver with soy sauce, and the whale sara salad, yakitori, and karaage from the regular menu - all of which were very delicious. Next time, I would like to try the chef's choice menu. The restaurant is not very large, so it's better to make a reservation if you plan to visit on weekends. Unfortunately, the Japanese-style stew was sold out this time, so I definitely want to try it next time. In July, I revisited the restaurant with friends for a party and opted for the all-you-can-drink monthly course for 4500 yen, which included sashimi, boiled fish, grilled tuna collar, raw mozuku vinegar, chanchan-yaki in puff pastry, and sea urchin porridge. It's rare to find a place that serves such delicious and reasonable seafood dishes. Everything was delicious, especially the boiled fish and grilled tuna collar. Everyone was very satisfied. In August, my family of three visited the restaurant again. It's always full every time we come, probably because we usually visit on weekends. I had already ordered sashimi, simmered fish, kasube Chinese-style ankake, and Japanese-style stew in advance. The chef suggested boiling a small sea bream head, which we agreed to, and it turned out to be incredibly delicious. The Japanese-style stew is also very tasty, made with brown stew and including raw gluten with miso as a hidden flavor. The combination of raw gluten and stew may seem unexpected, but it works very well. They always prepare a table by the window for us, where we can see the tram running outside, creating a very calming atmosphere.

I used it when I was on a business trip to Hakodate. The shop is conveniently located near the train station, in a hotel around Hakodate Station, making it easy to access. The store is located on the second floor after climbing the stairs from the entrance. Since it was early evening, there were no other customers besides me, so I had a pleasant time chatting with the owner. I was having trouble deciding what to eat when I saw that there was an omakase course available, so I ordered that. I started by quenching my thirst with a beer. Served in a ceramic cup, the foam was creamy and delicious. By the time I finished my beer, the first course of the course was brought out. It was sashimi! The fish looked fresh, especially the tuna was exquisite. The shrimp was just taken out of the tank, still alive. There were also other white fish, but everything was delicious. When I told the owner how delicious the tuna was, I was served a rare part of sashimi as a service. Hmm, this is delicious too! This shop is promising! I was looking forward to the second course. The second course was grilled bamboo shoots. It was grilled with the skin on and you peel it and eat it yourself, but it was really delicious. At this point, I switched to sake. As I was looking at the menu trying to decide what to order, the owner asked if I wanted to try some samples. I agreed, and I was allowed to try three kinds, and then I ordered the one I liked. This is a great service! After that, various dishes such as uni and egg stew were served, but by the time I got tipsy, I only have photos up to a certain point. About 6 dishes were served in total. Finally, I ordered whale bacon separately. The customers at the restaurant are mainly locals, and very few tourists come, the owner said. By the time I left, the inside of the shop was lively and it seems to be a shop loved by the locals. It is a very cozy shop run by a couple, and although it was a shop I happened to visit, it was a really good shop! Hakodate has many shops set up for tourists, but the content was satisfying. I definitely want to visit again. I revisited on February 14, 2015. This time, I took my wife with me. We made a reservation in the evening, and when we arrived, there was a sign saying "Full house" so I was relieved that I made a reservation. Last time, I was alone so I ordered the omakase course, but this time, since there were two of us, we decided to order freely. We started with a sashimi assortment, pork skewers, standing tempura, monkfish tempura, omelet, and ordered. The sashimi was as fresh and delicious as last time! My wife was also delighted. The tuna sashimi here is amazing. The monkfish tempura is also a sure bet! After eating everything, I realized, oh! I forgot to take a picture. Finally, we added tuna sashimi and uni sashimi, sake flowed, and we left feeling slightly tipsy. This shop has a great atmosphere and we are always satisfied with whatever we eat. I will visit again!
