"Shogayaki set meal"

Three and a half years ago, when I was leaving Chitose, I wanted to visit the restaurants I had bookmarked before, but now that I am older, I want to go to a different restaurant that I truly love for my last visit. For a solo lunch, I chose "Peko Peko no Hatake," and for a solo drink, I chose "Takupokku." It's really lonely without Curry-san next to me, but if they call me, I will come from Atsubetsu. When I arrived around 5 pm in the rain, there was still no one there. I went to the back to see the recommended menu items: Grilled oysters with shells for 550 yen and marinated mackerel for 700 yen. The oysters are from Akkeshi, big and delicious. The marinated mackerel is just as good as I remembered. Unfortunately, they don't have STV on the TV. I enjoyed my beer while snacking on octopus tempura, cucumber, and seaweed salad with miso dressing. Eventually, one regular customer left, and I chatted with the mama-san. I realized that despite all my complaints, I actually loved Ainosato. Maybe I should have stayed here longer. This conflicting feeling made me feel more positive. Since I had been eating mostly vegetables before moving, I wanted to eat some meat. I ordered a bite-sized pork cutlet for 450 yen. After the regular customer left, I had a conversation with the mama-san. I complained a lot, but I wonder if she liked Ainosato. I felt more positive after coming here for the last time. As a souvenir for my husband, I brought back a miso-marinated pork loin set meal. This is the restaurant I recommend the most out of all the places I've tried during my 3 and a half years living here. The food is delicious, and the couple who run the place are kind and warm. I hope they stay healthy and keep up the good work.

On February 27, 2018, I visited the holy land of curry, Takupokku, solo tonight. My goal was to try the curry cutlet! The image of Izusan's husband enjoying it had been lingering in my mind for over a year, so I decided to resolve my curiosity and headed there after finishing work on time. I parked my car nearby and entered at 6:00 pm. The back tatami room was full, and there were two men who seemed like regular customers at the counter. I was welcomed by the mother and seated at a table near the entrance. I immediately ordered the curry cutlet, mentioning that I couldn't drink alcohol as I had driven there. One of the regulars who was drinking teased me about it. I responded casually and waited for my order. The mother said, "Oh, it was a little warm today, but I hope we have more days like this," which was a natural and genuine conversation that put me in a pleasant mood. I felt truly glad that I came at that moment. In just over 10 minutes, the eagerly awaited dish made by the father arrived. I had studied it in advance from Izusan's photo, but seeing the real thing, it reminded me of the curry I had in Hakodate's Koike. The curry had a slightly thick and spicy roux, with onions and pork belly as the ingredients, looking like a simple curry. The cutlet was delicious, freshly fried, and the side dishes were satisfying. After finishing it, I felt full. The regular customer said, "This place is a set meal restaurant, everything here is delicious!" It felt like he was saying, "Come back again♪" on behalf of the restaurant. After paying, I was bid farewell by the couple and the regular. The regular mentioned that he came from Ainori by JR train, which made sense since there might not be many clever drinking spots in Ainori. Takupokku, a beloved restaurant by many, has certainly won me over as well. Thank you, Izusan, for introducing such a wonderful place!! When you come to the north, be sure to visit Takupokku♪

Mr. Curry and I met up after work and had a long-awaited takoyaki date! While waiting, he kindly asked, "Would you like some warm tea?" The appetizer was a side dish, and anything I couldn't eat was discreetly moved to my side. It had a strong flavor with ginger in it. We couldn't finish all of it. We had mackerel to finish, bacon and shishito pepper skewers, pork shabu-shabu with grated radish and ponzu sauce, grilled chicken thigh, and gizzard. We enjoyed everything except for the chicken thighs. The pork shabu-shabu was the most delicious. The restaurant was bustling, with friendly smiles from the staff. The interior was cozy, with old pipe chairs, but it had a surprisingly comfortable atmosphere. It's a great place to relax. We'll definitely come back!

Now it's lunchtime, and the restaurant is closed for a regular conference with Curry-san. Since it's a weekday, we were able to relax and enjoy our drinks! This place is small, and sometimes locals come here for dinner, so it can get a bit crowded. It feels cozy here. We ordered tempura, shrimp fry, hotate butteryaki, and various types of yakitori (pork, chicken, gizzard, hormone). After ordering, we just kept on drinking! I declared that I would eat a lot today, so I didn't help with the shrimp fry and hotate butteryaki. I thought I would only have the gizzard, but then I tried the green peppers too! I love them. They were thick and delicious, so I had two of them. Even though this place is not a yakitori restaurant, the hormone skewers were tasty. It's nice that they have a variety of dishes you can snack on. The appetizer was hokki and cucumber vinegar. I love vinegar dishes, so I asked for a refill with my preferred level of vinegar. It was a fun time! 😊

I wonder if they remembered my favorite face. I drink near Sapporo Station because it's too much trouble to drink there, so I drink here nearby. My husband changed from commuting by car to commuting by train. I thought we could go together sometimes, but my husband is tired from the unfamiliar train commute. Today's wife's drawing contest prize is 60,000 yen! So I went, but I didn't win the lottery. Even though we planned to meet up and eat somewhere, we ended up missing each other due to our lack of familiarity with Sapporo. We finally met up at the station, but I was in a bad mood. In the end, we went back to Sapporo Station and took the Gakuentoshi Line. Since we hadn't prepared dinner, we got off at Takuhoku and went here! There were two groups of customers before us, but they left quickly. Since they also serve dinner here, my husband had pork cutlet curry and I had an okonomiyaki-style egg omelet. It's been a while since we had beer together, and it was nice to have a toast with it. The lady apologized for not bringing an appetizer before our meal, but I ate both dishes. My husband said the curry was not too spicy and just the way he likes it. I took a bite and it had a nostalgic flavor like mom's curry. "Takupokku" Location: 3-1-28, Takuhoku 6-jo, Kita-ku, Sapporo Hours: 11:00-15:00 / 17:00-23:00 Closed on Sundays and the third Monday of the month Specialty: Chicken cutlet set meal (comes with miso soup, salad, pickles for 700 yen) Located along the Gakuentoshi Line (formerly Sapporo Line) near JR Takuhoku Station, this small diner offers a generous portion of chicken cutlet. The set meal includes a large piece and a half of chicken cutlet, along with miso soup filled with tofu, cabbage, and egg. The meal is quite filling and delicious. Despite the slightly greasy counter and walls, the cost performance is good and you will leave satisfied. They also serve ramen, which is normally priced at 650 yen but students can enjoy it for 400 yen.
