During a train photography trip in Hokkaido in autumn, I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a good place to eat in the area near Kitahiroshima. I visited around 4:45 PM on a Sunday. The restaurant is located right in front of the Riau Smart IC on the southbound Doto Expressway. It is surrounded by farmland with no other prominent buildings nearby. The restaurant is a new, box-shaped building with a clean exterior. It appears to have a restaurant called "Restaurant Ciel" and a bakery called "Bakery SomeL" attached to it. There is a parking lot for about 10 cars in front of the building. The interior is also new and clean, with various processed meats and other food items displayed in refrigerated showcases and on shelves. The prices of the processed meats are on the higher side. I decided to purchase the value pack called "Recommended Pack" for 3,823 yen including tax. The pack includes thick-cut roast ham (120g), bacon slices (90g), pork sausages (4 pieces; 105g), chili sausages (3 pieces; 86g), bacon chunks (70g), and roast ham chunks (70g) x3, all vacuum-packed. I opened the roast ham chunks (70g) first and found uneven blocks of meat, one of which was just fat. The lean parts had a hearty and meaty texture with a strong saltiness and rich umami flavor. It was delicious. I sliced the rest thinly to make ham and eggs, enhancing the dish. The bacon slices (90g) contained seven thin slices of bacon with a pleasant smoky flavor, intense umami from the lean meat, and sweetness from the fat. It was tasty, but I thought it could be thicker to fully enjoy the flavors. I look forward to trying the other products.

Edelweiss Farm's direct sales store has been renovated★ Pork sausage 105g for 637 yen. There were various options to choose from, but I was drawn to the recommended set items. The sausages are convenient and easy to eat - they are delicious as is or sautéed. The taste doesn't change whether eaten as is or sautéed. It's a high-end product priced at over 100 yen per piece. The previous customer purchased over 20,000 yen worth of products. Thank you for the delicious meal.

The ham is expensive so I can't go to buy it often, but I can easily buy bread. The Bacon Epi is famous and of course delicious, but the "Whim Sandwich" with 4 pieces sold at the ham section is surprisingly cheap at 500 yen, considering the prices of their sausages. The bread was a bit dry, but the sausages had a nice aroma and were delicious when warmed up. It's a good way to sample the sausages.

This is a continuation of a trip to Eniwa with my family. We came across a sign that caught our attention while driving on National Route 36 for years. Excited, we decided to visit a ham and bacon factory's direct sales store. The location seemed a bit dangerous, with a mountain road leading to it. Upon arrival, we noticed that on the left side, there was an entrance to the highway, while on the right side, there was the store. The store was small but welcoming, with many female staff members greeting us. The store had a ham and bacon direct sales section at the front and a bakery corner at the back. We bought some items from the store and found the prices to be a bit high but the quality was worth it. The ham was delicious, the bacon sausage was flavorful, and the bread was buttery. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this place to others.

This is a new retail store of Edelweiss Farm, a delicious ham shop. They also sell vegetables, wine, and have a bakery. They are starting a restaurant soon. I bought a special set of bacon, ham, sausages, and smoked spare ribs. They also gave me a lot of free samples. Cooking with Edelweiss Farm's ham and bacon adds a great aroma and depth of flavor to dishes!

The sausage made with only meat, salt, spices, and coloring agent is manly and reminiscent of the sausages I had in Germany. It has a good texture and tastes delicious.
