Today, I had a meal and happened to stop by a shop right in front of where I parked my car. The salmon jerky at the entrance looked delicious, so I was planning to buy it, but when I entered the store, the dried squid was also quite cheap. I was about to buy some, but then I remembered I still had some salmon jerky and dried squid at home, so I ended up buying stingray fins and dried cod in mirin. I also realized I hadn't bought any Hidaka kelp recently, and there was a small, inexpensive pack available, so I bought one. I tried a few samples, including the salmon jerky, and they were all delicious. The casual atmosphere made it easy to choose. There weren't many tourists, which must be tough, but keep up the good work! :)

I purchased my favorite Tobah and dried shishamo at the Sapporo market outside the market in September 2021. Both are sugar-free. The dried shishamo is a male shishamo and is as delicious as dried scallops, a rare delicacy! Tobah is a simple dried shishamo with only salt, which is hard to find nowadays. Most of them contain sweeteners. I think simple things are the best for tasting the umami of the ingredients and are delicious. I love it so much that I buy it immediately when I find it.

I unexpectedly visited this off-market place for the first time. I had planned to order ikura, scallops, and salmon, but I changed the salmon to sea urchin. The staff initially recommended Murasaki uni, but I preferred Bafun uni, so I chose that instead. They gave me a discount of about 500 yen, so the total cost was 9,000 yen including shipping. Is this cheap, average, or expensive?

After eating at Sapporo's outdoor market, I bought some souvenirs at New Chitose Airport, which were slightly discounted. My mother purchased 8 packs of tororo seaweed, tororo, and soft seaweed for 540 yen each. Tororo seaweed is her favorite, and she always buys it at Daimaru whenever I come to Hokkaido. At the store, they were selling packs of fresh sea urchin on ice. My dad was recommended to try it and stopped to look. Although we couldn't take it home, we received one pack for dinner as we were staying in a local guesthouse that night. They accept card payments and provided a large ice pack for proper packaging. The container was designed for draining water. I tried a bit myself, but it wasn't to my liking. My son also didn't seem to enjoy it. However, my dad loved the sea urchin bowl and said, "It's delicious!" It seems that the deliciousness of sea urchin was lost on me and my son! Thank you for the meal.
