Located on the 5th floor of the Akisui Building along Minami 6-jo Nishi 3-6-22 in Susukino, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, this izakaya caught my attention with a flyer announcing its opening. I visited on June 1st, after 11 PM. The noren curtain with the words "Machimu" written in black on a red fabric was hanging outside, and the owner was carrying items into the shop. Inside, the atmosphere was cozy and homely. There was a gently curved counter in front of the kitchen space and table seating in a raised area. Despite opening just in April, the place felt like it had been there for years. The menu was extensive, with a variety of homemade dishes and side dishes. The bar offered a unique drink of shochu with ponzu sauce, which was surprisingly delicious. The place was starting to get busier with customers like solo female diners and staff from nearby establishments. I tried the Highball and Awamori Highball, both of which were satisfying. The Chicken Wings and Sauteed Atka Mackerel were flavorful and well-prepared. The German Potato was aromatic and appetizing, cooked using a recipe from the owner's previous workplace. The Stir-Fried Butterbur Shoots and Miso with Butterbur Shoots were both delicious and well-seasoned. The owner, who had dreams of opening a restaurant while working in the apparel industry, had finally realized his dream with "Machimu," a place where customers can enjoy a wide range of dishes until early morning. I was impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere and the dedication of the owner. I look forward to visiting again soon.

The food here is so delicious that it makes other restaurants' dishes taste not as good. It's amazing. The owner is handsome and a great conversationalist, so I feel comfortable coming here alone. I really want to keep coming to this place in the future!
