Next to the curry restaurant Mohandish is a small, vertically-oriented yakiniku restaurant called Kuro. The interior is mainly black, creating a calming atmosphere. The staff, with their buzz cut hairstyles, are energetic, which is a good thing. The set course seems cheap, and we went there for all-you-can-drink. However, to cut to the chase, it was disappointing. When we arrived, part of the menu, including a "meat platter," salad, grilled vegetables, and kimchi, was already on the table. Next to it, a shichirin grill was blazing with fire. It's good to be prepared, but wouldn't it be better to serve the meat warm instead of having it come from the fridge? The portion size was small for a serving for one person, but there were many types (13 in total this time). The breakdown of the 13 types includes beef kalbi, beef sagari, beef tongue, pork sagari, salted hormone, lamb, pork kalbi, chicken thigh, seseri, salad, kimchi, grilled vegetables, and rice. While there were many types, the portion size was insufficient. For the luxurious cuts, you only get 2 pieces per person, and for the cheaper menu items, you get 3 pieces. This doesn't feel like a course meal. Even though there were many types, the lack of quantity left us unsatisfied. The drink menu included only watered-down options like water, carbonated water, and diluted drinks, and they couldn't make a proper whiskey on the rocks. The neighboring yakiniku restaurant, "Sumi," offers an all-you-can-eat and drink option, and I would recommend going there for a more satisfying experience. The hormone meat was delicious though.
