There is a sister restaurant to Shirao that I visited. This place is great for relaxing in private rooms while enjoying a drink. I have tried both a la carte and course meals here, and they were both quite good. The course meal was especially impressive, with dishes like hot pot, saikyo-yaki (miso-marinated silver cod), ankimo (monkfish liver), venison, tempura, and more coming out in abundance. I once tried the recommended dish, fried shark, and it was delicious. I also ordered something called "Adult's Gratin," which turned out to be very tasty, though I'm not sure why they named it that (laughs). They have a wide variety of plum wines available, and you can try different kinds in small glasses for a reasonable price (around 250 yen). I tried plum wine with silver powder and banana plum wine in these small glasses, and I was glad I could try them before committing to a full glass (laughs). They also have a great selection of sake, including some names I had never heard before. As a sake lover, I was thrilled with the options. The menu includes fried foods, appetizers, grilled dishes, skewers, salads, rice bowls, soba noodles, onigiri, and more. They also offer desserts, making it a nice option for a female-friendly ending to the meal. The master's friendly demeanor and smile add to the lovely atmosphere of the place.
