I stopped by my favorite fruit cake factory while out and about and got some treats to go. Today, I purchased the limited edition red fruit tart from June to July, along with a premium strawberry tart and the classic Tart Saison. The red fruit tart had strawberries and tart crust, but what stood out was the strawberry mousse inside, which paired perfectly with the tart. The fruits on top included cherries, strawberries, watermelon, ruby red, and red berries, all in shades of red. With the tartness of the fruits, the strawberry mousse tasted even better. The premium strawberry tart had whipped cream, while the Tart Saison had custard, allowing me to enjoy different flavors in each bite. Once again, I was completely satisfied with my choices.

I was full from a late lunch, so I decided to have dessert for dinner and wandered around inside Aeon until I settled on Fruitcake Factory. I passed on the cream puffs on sale for ¥100 and instead got the Taiwan Castella Fruit Sandwich with orange. I started to feel hungry again! Dessert is a separate stomach, right? I used to buy a lot of tarts that were featured in the media, but I'm not a fan of tarts so I haven't been buying them lately. They look fancy and nice, but the sweetness and taste that were popular over 10 years ago now feel outdated to me. Today, I tried the Pie Custard (150 yen) x 2. The large-sized, crispy pie crust filled with slightly sweet custard cream gives off a scent that reminds everyone of Fruit Cake Factory. Whether you take a bite of the pie crust or the custard cream, you can taste the familiar flavor of Fruit Cake Factory. I guess I used to eat it because everyone liked it back then. I visited "Fruit Cake Factory Asoe Store" on November 20th. I'm not sure how many times I've been here. I visited at 6:50 PM today because I wanted to eat cake. The first cake I tried here was the Sweet Cheese Cake whole cake. It used to be 500 yen, but now it's 780 yen. I really liked its light texture. This time, I bought: Shine Muscat and Yogurt Mousse Tart for 820 yen, Winter Three Color Tart for 580 yen, and Tart Season for 690 yen. You can apparently order a whole cake in advance, but they serve it by cutting a 24cm whole cake at the store. I once considered buying a whole cake for a birthday, but my family members have different preferences for fruits, so I gave up. The cakes here look visually appealing with lots of fruits. Shine Muscat is expensive, so the cake is also pricey. My wife bought it for me. It was sweeter than I expected. I wish it was a bit lighter. I like the tart base. They used to have cake all-you-can-eat events at a different store, but it seems they don't do that anymore. Thank you for the meal.

"I'm alone at 'Fruit Factory' in Sapporo. I really decided to come here on a whim. I was planning to take a break from posting on Tabelog in February, and I was just thinking of going to Kushiro this week to eat soba and maybe do a little bit of foraging. It's hard to post reviews in Sapporo right now, and I might get complaints, but since I'm alone, it's fine, right? That's just my opinion though. I'm at the AEON Asahikawa store. I wrote about it in another review that I haven't posted yet, so you might not know. There's a 'Fruit Factory' on the first floor. Yay! My wife likes the fruit tarts here. I don't like tart crust, and they're expensive, so that's the main reason I don't usually get them. But one is enough. I think it was an strawberry tart or a fruit tart... I don't know what my wife likes, so I went with the 'Fruit Seven.' It's always a safe bet when there are lots of toppings. Cakes are definitely expensive here, but they look luxurious. This time, I bought a lot to take home. My wife's reactions were all over the place - laughing, bewildered, wry smiles... But her reaction clearly changed when she tried the fruit tart. She was melting. The fruit is delicious, I have to admit. I've always disliked tart crust, and this one is more like a pie crust, which I might dislike even more. It's not that it's not tasty, I just have this idea that cakes should have sponge cake. Well, I can't deny that it was a delicious cake. Once you start eating, you can't stop. Truly a delicious cake."

There is a fruit sweets shop inside the ion mall. Although there are also shops in the suburbs, it may be easy to visit here because it is inside the ion mall. There is no space to eat inside, so you can either take it to the food court to eat or take it out. There are plenty of tarts and cakes made with seasonal fruits. I chose the fruit jelly. Since they use fresh fruits, that's a big plus, right? There is a shop that has a long line even though they use canned fruits, so compared to that, I think this shop is doing well!

After taking care of business with Aso, I always end up stopping by Ion. And since I'm here, I can't resist buying this fruit cake from Koko Fruit Cake Factory. This cheesecake!! It is a supermarket (AEON) with a tenant inside, and the main store is a street-level store in the center of Sapporo, but there are several branch stores in the city. The fruit tarts are popular at this store, but I want to introduce their cream puffs. I actually think that their cream puffs are a hidden gem. The tarts use seasonal fruits abundantly and look beautiful and taste delicious, but they are a bit pricey at 400-600 yen each, so I only buy them for special occasions like family birthdays or as gifts for my husband's family. However, the cream puffs are more affordable. On this particular day, the cream puffs were on sale at the "AEON Tuesday Market" for a special price. Normally priced at 140 yen each, they were only 98 yen including tax. The cream puff has a large and thick choux pastry with a moderate amount of custard cream, making it refreshing. What's unique is that the custard cream contains rum, and there is also almond praline inside, giving it a great flavor. Even my daughter, who doesn't usually like cream puffs, enjoys these ones. My cream puff-loving husband is also very satisfied. One cream puff may not be enough, but two might be too much, so it's quite satisfying to eat (based on my standards). Eating two might make me gain a lot of weight, so I have to resist the temptation. Since it's the "Tuesday Market," I can buy them for 98 yen every Tuesday, making it a perfect snack for everyday use. However, if I eat cream puffs every week, I might gain weight, so maybe I should limit it to once a month. Oh, but if I don't eat other snacks, maybe I can have them every week! It seems like it might be free for 2 hours, but I'm not sure. The confirmed information is that the first 30 minutes are free (no stamp required). I had a chance to talk to the store manager before, and Saturdays are a good deal, so come again, they said. What they will offer as a service item is not decided, so it's a surprise when you go. The discount rate is quite good, so if your favorite item is included, it's quite lucky! This day was not a Saturday, but there was one item that was a bit cheaper. But it wasn't my favorite item... I bought a Classic Chocolate and Matcha Tart. Classic chocolate is a classic, right? The crispy texture on the surface is good. Matcha tart is seasonal with matcha. I bought it for the first time, and when I tried it, the tart crust felt more like pie crust. Oh no. The matcha flavor is weak, but not too sweet, which is good. The balance between the red bean part, the matcha sponge part, and the matcha cream is quite nice. Some pieces are 700 yen or even more expensive, so price confirmation is a must... There are also larger sizes and more affordable items (sometimes), so I always take a look when I go to Asao Aeon. I don't buy something every time, but it's a feast for the eyes! Your eyes tend to be drawn to the cakes in the showcase, but if you go around to the escalator side, there is a different showcase with cream puffs, roll cakes, and puddings for sale. These items are also sometimes discounted, so make sure to check them out.

Donguri-san and I always end up visiting the Fruit Cake Factory. The beautiful seasonal fruit cakes and tarts are so soothing to look at! Although they are a bit pricey, it's nice that they have occasional sales. I usually go for the seasonal cakes, but this time I opted for the classic choice of strawberry shortcake (lol).
