A popular Korean restaurant located in 5-chome, 2-jo street in Asahikawa City. Known for serving authentic Korean dishes, the restaurant offers a variety of options such as Jjigae, Bibimbap, and Bulgogi. However, on a hot day, I was craving for some spicy cold noodles! So, I ordered the "Bibim Cold Noodle Set" (980 yen). It arrived in about 10 minutes. The set included Bibim cold noodles, kimchi, oi kimchi, soup, and rice. The Bibim cold noodles looked spicy with a sweet and spicy miso sauce. The noodles were thin and chewy, with a nice texture. The dish was topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, and boiled eggs. At first, I thought it wasn't too spicy, but as I continued eating, it got quite spicy. But since I love spicy food, I found it delicious. The kimchi included radish and cucumber, and it was really tasty. The soup had plenty of wakame seaweed and green onions, with a nice sesame flavor. Overall, the restaurant also offers take-out options for items like kimchi, oi kimchi, kakuteki, and changja. Their kimchi is authentic and delicious. I might buy some next time to enjoy with some drinks!

I've been curious about this shop for a while ♬ I usually have no hesitation about going to any kind of shop, but this one, I couldn't find the parking lot, and the exterior challenged my adventurous spirit. Thanks to Moririn's review with delicious-looking photos, I finally mustered up the courage to go. I parked in the recommended parking lot, and walked to the entrance...♪ When I opened the door, I took off my shoes and entered the shop (forgot my slippers...oops). I decided to forgo the slippers...(^-^; There were so many intriguing menu items like Sundubu Jjigae, Seafood Stone Bibimbap, and Bulgogi set, all for 980 yen each...♪*゚ Since there were so many menu items that caught my eye, I asked my foodie friend to accompany me on this culinary adventure♡(*´ 艸`) The shop is decorated with appetizing photo menus on the walls. The exotic atmosphere inside the shop made me feel excited✩.*˚ The staff (female owner?) was straightforward, spoke quickly, and appeared very cool. While chatting and enjoying the lively kitchen atmosphere, we waited for our order...♪*゚ Here it is♡ It looks so hot and bubbly~٩(*´∀︎`*)۶ The Sundubu was surprisingly light in flavor, with a nicely balanced broth. The rice was cooked just right, not too soft, which I like. The kimchi had that authentic taste, quite delicious. The crispy rice at the bottom of the Stone Bibimbap was also good♡ I think this is a place where you can enjoy the authentic taste of Korea✩.*˚ On the way back, I bought some Komatsuna Kimchi. I also made a reservation for Kimbap for another day (*´∀`)♪ The Kimbap had a generous amount of rice and was quite large...I prefer smaller, bite-sized pieces with more filling...I used to love "Oyatsu Norimaki" which is no longer available...I wonder if there's something similar being sold somewhere...? If anyone has any delicious Kimbap recommendations, please let me know~(^-^; Thank you for the meal~(*´∀`)♪

Colleagues and I coincidentally had our break time at the same time, so we decided to go to a restaurant. We walked to Miharasan, but unfortunately, it was temporarily closed. It seems like the chances of encountering temporary closures are quite high. Oh well, let's try King Hana Rang instead. Oh, I remember Mori Rin's Korean report from the other day, so I decided to go for Sundubu Jjigae here. My colleague ordered Stone Pot Bibimbap. The bubbling hot dishes were sizzling and steaming. I tried to preserve the egg without cracking it, but it ended up being too hard. I ate in silence while it cooled down. The thrilling moment as our break time was coming to an end. I mixed the leftovers with rice and enjoyed it. It was crispy and delicious. I worked up a good sweat in many ways. Thank you for the meal!

Long time no see, Koreana-san. It's been a while. Actually, I've been learning Korean, and I know the teacher who is a Japanese person. We talked at a Christmas party a few years ago. The Korean language teacher is Japanese, but Koreana-san is a Japanese-speaking Korean lady, so it's interesting to hear them mix Japanese and Korean while talking. There is no parking lot. The restaurant doesn't have a parking lot. But Koreana-san said it's okay to park at the supermarket in front of the restaurant... I wonder if that's true... Some people were parking on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant... I'm not sure about that. Please check it out if you go there. The menu is a bit confusing. All the dishes are Korean cuisine, and I want to try them all when I go to Korea... but when I saw the prices, I was a bit surprised. The prices on the wall are higher than the ones listed on the menu. It turns out they included the consumption tax in the prices on the wall. It's quite interesting. Today they are serving this water. They said it's a new water they started serving today, so please try it. The water looked the same as yesterday's water, but there was a secret in the container they served it in. When I checked the QR code on the bottle, I found out that this bottle costs 15,000 yen. There was a stick inside the bottle. It's a new water introduced on April 9th. Seafood Pancake for 800 yen. I ordered another main dish, but I really wanted to try the pancake. They asked if I wanted it with kimchi or seafood, and I chose seafood even though it's 100 yen more expensive. It was interesting that even the regular one had squid in it. Koreana-san is really funny. The sauce is really good. It looks spicy, but it's not. It has an original soy sauce-based flavor. It's delicious. I tried making it at home with Korean flour, but I couldn't get the sauce right. By the way, I thought this was called Pajeon in Korea, but I learned it's a different dish. It's a type of pancake, just like Pancake. Bulgogi Set for 880 yen. This was the main dish. When you think of Bulgogi, you might think of Costco's Bulgogi. But this one was different. It's red. The taste of red pepper was different. It had a powdery red pepper taste. It was not spicy at first, but the spiciness came later as you eat more. This tasted like it came from Korea. It was red, but not spicy at first. As you eat more, the spiciness kicks in. It was delicious. The meat was flavorful. I put the Bulgogi on the rice... it was delicious. The rice might look small, but it's quite a lot. It has a sweet and savory flavor that goes well with the rice. But it was lurking there... what is it? When I looked closer, it was shiitake mushrooms... Do they put shiitake mushrooms in Korean dishes? Or is it a Koreana original? The taste of shiitake mushrooms was probably sweet and savory too. Wakame Soup. This Wakame soup was amazing. It had sesame oil in it, giving it a Korean flavor. It's usually salt and pepper-based, but the addition of sesame oil brings out the umami flavor. The taste of Wakame and green onions was strong, and I really liked this flavor. Original Kimchi. In Korea, they say there are 100 different flavors of Kimchi in 100 households. This Kimchi has a Koreana original taste. Some people come here just to buy this Kimchi. I also like the taste of this Kimchi. Spicy and savory.

I found a place that offers delicious kimchi for takeout online and called to confirm. They said their bok choy kimchi is amazing! But when I arrived at the restaurant, I accidentally asked for mustard greens kimchi instead. Unfortunately, they were out of bok choy kimchi, so I ended up buying the mustard greens one. It cost 750 yen for 500g. I had it as a side dish for my evening drink. It was spicier than I expected, with a hint of sweetness. It had a rich umami flavor and was really delicious. It also had shredded carrots in it. The crunchy texture of the mustard greens was great. I'll have to ask my mother-in-law to make this for me. The restaurant used to close at 8 pm, but now they close around 7 pm. However, they offer all-day service starting from 11 am, so you can enjoy day drinking there too. I want to go back and try their kimbap next time.

Located next to the Daichi Nishi store in 5-chome, 2-jo street, Asahikawa City, is a Korean cuisine specialty restaurant called Koreana. It has been open for about 12 years and is run by a bright and kind Korean omoni (mother). I decided to go there to eat pugok for beautiful skin, as the winter stove can cause dry skin. Despite being a bit far from Sanroku Street, this restaurant is a rare find that also serves lunch. I remembered that this building used to be Kogane-chan Bento when I was a child as I entered. Inside, you change into slippers before entering. There used to be a few counter seats, but now there are only two table seats. The place is filled with various Korean food ingredients and snacks for sale, creating a homely atmosphere. A regular couple was already eating when I arrived, but luckily there was one table available for me. I ordered pugok, but unfortunately, it was sold out, so I switched to the recommended stone bibimbap by omoni. The hot stone bowl takes some time to arrive as it needs to be heated, so I sipped warm tea while waiting. When the stone bibimbap was served, it came with a seaweed soup, homemade kimchi, and a jar of gochujang, which is refillable. The thick stone bowl had a crack in it, giving it a vintage feel. The bibimbap had various vegetables but no meat, and the gochujang mixed with the vegetables created a delicious aroma. The kimchi, slightly sweet for Japanese taste, was not watery and had a rich flavor. I enjoyed battling the heat and quickly finished the meal. The sweet orange served after the meal was also delicious. Koreana offers Kimpa (Korean seaweed rolls) on the 20th of every month, which can be reserved in advance. Previously, Chapche was also a limited menu on the same day, but now it is available daily. They also offer nationwide shipping for kimchi dishes. I hope to try pugok next time! Thank you for the meal.

I went to a Korean restaurant called Koriana for lunch with my friend because I wanted to eat something warm. I heard that their Kimchi stew is delicious, but I ended up ordering the Sundubu stew instead. It was a stew with pure tofu and lots of ingredients like clams, pork, egg, enoki mushrooms, leeks, wood ear mushrooms, pine nuts, etc. I also ordered some pan-fried dumplings, which came with a Korean-style dipping sauce. The dumplings had glass noodles inside, which was a new experience for me. Overall, it was a delicious meal and I left feeling very full.

Asahikawa. About an 8-minute walk from the station, in 2-jo 5-chome, in front of Super Daiei. There are several banners so you won't get lost. Unfortunately, there is no parking lot, so you may need to find one nearby. When you open the sliding door, it feels like entering someone's home. Take off your shoes and come in. There are two dining tables in front, and you can see a TV and Korean food in the back. It was past 1 pm, maybe some locals? People were chatting in Korean at the counter seats. The menu is as shown in the picture. They have Kimbap, which is rare! But do you need a reservation...? I love stone bibimbap, so I ordered that. They asked if it's okay to wait a bit longer, and I said yes. While waiting, they served tea, which was from another customer (laughs). It arrived in about 10 minutes. The namul side dishes were quite generous. With kimchi, pickles, and soup, it's a good deal for 700 yen. They warned me that it's hot, so be careful. They also brought out a container with gochujang. Now, should I mix it? Unlike Grace in Azabu-Juban, the staff here don't adjust the spiciness or mix it for you based on your preference. I decided to go easy on the gochujang at first, as putting too much might regret later. As someone who likes crispy rice, I waited a bit. I tried the kimchi, which had a homemade tangy flavor typical of Korean cuisine. The slightly burnt smell was appetizing. Now, let's mix it quickly. I enjoy it while cooling it down. Hmm, delicious. No need for more words than that. The slightly burnt crispy parts are nice, and with plenty of ingredients, you can enjoy the texture fully. The owner had to step out for a moment, telling us to relax, and chatted with the locals before disappearing and returning in a few minutes. It was quite lively (laughs). It's a casual and enjoyable Korean home-cooked meal experience. I recommend it to those who haven't tried stone bibimbap yet.
