Personally, it's my third day working in a row. It's not "Chuunichi," but "Nakabi" (laughs). Today is Wednesday, so it's time for the usual department store basement food tour... well, not really a tour, but I'm heading to Hokkaido Daimaru's "Hoppetown." As I tried to enter from the subway side Apia connection, there was a huge traffic jam of customers for some reason. And what's the current situation inside the store? Why are they counting the number of customers entering? 2,836 people and it seems crowded? I wonder if this number is the number of customers on the basement 1st floor? Probably not (laughs). Well, the store is definitely too crowded to walk around properly. The first thing that caught my eye was the fried egg hamburger. Is 993 yen the price for just the hamburger? The one with rice included is 1,296 yen, so this must be just the hamburger, right? I noticed there were two types of pasta, "Napolitan 540 yen" and "Tomato Sauce Pasta with Asari Clams and Rape Blossoms 680 yen." Hmm... I think I'll go with the Napolitan (laughs). I'll have to buy beer later too, and the cheaper option is... So, I decided to take it home and warm it up in the microwave, but the sticker said "Please transfer to a different container when reheating." Wait, is this not microwave-safe? Well, the lid might melt, but the plate should be fine, right? I reheated it for 4 minutes. The pasta has a decent texture, and the melted cheese on top is alright. The ingredients are bacon, green pepper, mushrooms, and onions, and the seasoning is a bit tangy. Overall, not bad considering it's from a famous Western-style restaurant like Central Kitchen in the department store basement. But well, it's still just a department store bento (laughs). Thanks for the meal.
