Please sanitize your hands before entering. Are you dining in? The staff seemed a bit curt and the atmosphere was warm. There was no water served and mistakes in orders were not apologized for. The location is not bad, but the staff could be a bit friendlier and at least offer water at the beginning. Not recommended for return visits. The matcha sundae and hojicha latte were average, slightly on the sweet side.

We went to this restaurant because my companion really wanted to go, and we made a reservation through a certain gourmet website. However, we were charged a ¥200 fee for using the website, which was a negative point for us. The restaurant was located in a quiet corner of an old building, making it hard to find from the outside. When we arrived for our reservation, there were no other customers present. We ordered the following items: SAKUMA Special Parfait for ¥1320 and Shaved Strawberries for ¥680. The food was okay, not bad but not particularly delicious either. The restaurant seemed understaffed, with only one person working. It took about 10 minutes for the first dish to arrive, and 15 minutes for the second. The ambiance was ruined by the lack of sound barriers between the kitchen and dining area, as we could hear loud cooking and dishwashing noises. The menu had some unfriendly notes, and overall, we felt that there were many areas for improvement in this restaurant. The restaurant seemed to focus more on takeout options, as there were not many dine-in customers. We spent less than 30 minutes there, and even my companion, who was really excited to try this place, said they would not visit again.

★Strawberry Sundae for 660 yen
Directly connected to Subway Kita 34-jo Station
Opened on January 10, 2021 ☆ Japanese sweets and matcha dessert cafe
I saw it on the evening information program and decided to try it out (๑´∀`)
The dimmed lighting creates a cozy atmosphere, though it's more on the dark side.
Seating is only on tatami mats, which is tough on the knees and back... getting old is tough (´-ω-`)
You write your order on paper and hand it to the staff.
For a snack, I had the strawberry sundae - strawberry ice cream with red bean paste, whipped cream, two mochi balls, and crispy cornflakes.
The taste was just as expected (〃>З<) Simply delicious.
Since sitting seiza style was tough, I quickly finished eating and left.
Oh! They also serve drinks during the day!
Thank you for the meal (^ω^)

Opened on January 10, 2021, "Sakuma" is located directly connected to the subway Namboku Line Kita 34-jo Station, in a corner of the bus waiting room on the same floor where two new stores have opened in two vacant houses that have been empty for a long time. There is a sign in front of the store saying "Open", but the inside of the store is dimly lit and does not look like it is open. Upon entering the store through the sliding door, there are five low tables inside. The staff will guide you to one of the tables and ask you to fill out an order sheet. The staff member then leaves saying, "Please call us when you have decided." However, the staff member in charge of this floor does not seem attentive at all. Saying "Please call us when you have decided" does not mean that you can be left alone until you are called. I think it is necessary to be attentive and considerate. Since the staff member showed no sign of paying attention, I had to call out, "Excuse me," otherwise I might have been left unattended until closing. If they can't do that, it would be more helpful to have a call bell. The basic concept of the store is a "sweets shop". I visited around 3 pm, almost time to have a drink, but it seems that there is a light drinking set on weekdays, but on holidays, you have to order items individually, so I hesitated and gave up. I ordered "Sesame dumplings with hot roasted tea set @800 (excluding tax)". I waited for 18 minutes for the order. The set includes "two skewers of dumplings, roasted tea, and salted kelp". The skewered dumplings with soft sesame paste come in three pieces per skewer. The sesame paste is so loose that it may drip if you are not careful. The dumplings are not too soft, but have a reasonable firmness. I thought I ordered regular roasted tea, but it turned out to be a "latte"... It was quite drinkable with a restrained sweetness. Despite the good location, the customers were coming in slowly and the place was almost full. They raised the floor a few centimeters and went to the trouble of laying tatami mats, but I wonder if chairs would have been better. Even a big guy was complaining, and it seems like the atmosphere of the store is not quite right. Maybe it would be easier for people to enter if they made it a little brighter from the outside. Thank you for the meal.

Opened on January 10, 2021. But, it's kind of difficult to get to this building. The west side is connected to another building, the north side is a drop-off area, the east side is a pick-up area, and the south side is a coin parking lot. Nowhere to park at all. Ended up parking at the coin parking lot and walking over. The worst part is that all the tables are low tables, which is not suitable for elderly people with bad legs. Oh, there's a counter! But it's still being prepared. Asked if they do takeout, and they said they can do a sundae for 600 yen. While waiting standing up, another staff member told me to please have a seat and wait... Not irritated at all! The sundae with shiratama dumplings, sweet red bean paste, cream, and strawberry sauce had a slightly strong sweetness from the red bean paste. Well, it's a world that the elderly can't handle anyway.

After finishing lunch and craving for dessert, I felt too tired after a night shift to go out. So, I decided to order delivery through an app and found this place that I've been curious about since it opened. I checked the menu and saw they had parfaits, warabi mochi, and cute snow rabbit white dumplings. Although those caught my eye, I decided to go for the popular No.1 item, the Sakuma Special Parfait (matcha). The delivery arrived with the parfait carefully sealed to prevent it from spilling, along with a frozen water bottle for cooling. The Sakuma Special Parfait (matcha) had the shop's name "Sakuma" boldly displayed on top. It had a base of black honey-flavored dough surrounded by sponge cake, ice cream, and whipped cream. Below that were layers of white dumplings, red bean paste, and matcha warabi mochi, with a bottom layer of matcha ice cream and milk ice cream. The matcha ice cream was rich and had a perfect balance of sweetness, matcha flavor, and bitterness, making it delicious. I noticed that the app menu mentioned an option to add black honey, but it wasn't included in my order. I wonder if it was a mistake or if they changed the menu. I enjoyed the parfait, and I'm interested in trying other menu items in the future. Thank you for the meal!
