On January 4th, even though the planned dinner was the next day, I decided to take a break and enjoy some solo drinking in Sapporo. I started at Zangi Honpo Kitaguchi, then went to Roach Roaster for yakitori, followed by a stop at a nondescript bar for a few drinks. As I walked towards my usual lodging near Nakajima Park, I unexpectedly stumbled upon Kaimonro, which seemed to be shining more brightly than usual, and I was drawn to it unconsciously. Since I was already somewhat full, I bought their popular "Pork Bun Blended Soy Sauce" and brought it back to my hotel room to enjoy with a canned chu-hi. The bun was slightly sweet, soft, and fluffy, with a juicy and meaty filling complemented by a rich and flavorful sauce that wasn't too sweet. It was a classic and reliable taste that I really liked. Despite it being relatively early for drinking, I found myself falling asleep without watching TV, just browsing through food review websites and social media on my phone. Before I knew it, I was asleep. I woke up naturally at 5 am (give or take 10 minutes as usual), without any alarms, sticking to my usual daily routine (sadly). I may not go for walks, but my daily rhythm remains unchanged.

I couldn't find the meat bun shop I remembered, Charyo, so I was at a loss. But then I came across this place. It seems like Susukino has become a town of meat buns. It was a different kind of high-quality meat bun compared to Charyo. It was delicious with plenty of filling. The children were also happy, so all is well!

【Kaimanrou】・Pork Bun with Soy Sauce ¥280 Located on the main street of Susukino, you can see the steaming and stuffing process, which is very appetizing! When you open it up, you can smell the soy sauce and pork mince, which is a nice aroma. The minced meat has large grains and a good texture when chewing. It's just the right size for a late-night snack. I wanted to finish with a night parfait, but the line was too long, so I gave up orz. The pork bun is large, voluminous, and filled with plenty of ingredients, giving it a satisfying texture that fills you up with just one piece. This time, I got a spicy pork bun to go. It was just the right level of spiciness. It was delicious. It is located right in the middle of Susukino, and I think many people buy it as a souvenir on their way back from drinking.

A shop that has been in business for many years in a prime location in Susukino. Eating after drinking is the best. When I visited after a long time, I noticed that the signboard had been completely renovated and modernized. On this day, I ordered a spicy meat bun. The regular one might have been tastier. It was a bit disappointing.

I bought some souvenirs for my wife on the way back after drinking. There was supposed to be a set for 1000 yen, but I noticed it had gone up to 1200 yen. I waited in line for a while, but it was my turn fairly quickly. This time, I bought four bottles of blended soy sauce for 300 yen each. Maybe it's because I'm drunk, but it's really delicious, haha.

On my day off, I went to Sapporo... Today, I came to see the Sapporo Snow Festival. After drinking at the Sapporo Beer Garden, I walked around Susukino and saw a line at Minoya restaurant, so I couldn't resist waiting in line. I took out the pork bun with blended soy sauce and enjoyed it while walking!!

I went to "Kaishoro" for a late-night snack after a long time. It's a popular meat bun shop in Susukino, and I got their number one seller, the pork bun with blended soy sauce, and my favorite shumai. It was after a work gathering, and we all decided to end the night in Susukino, and of course, this place is a must for a late-night meal. The meat buns are always delicious, especially in the winter, and I feel like I have to eat them every winter. Thank you for the meal!

When you come to Susukino, you must try the steamed buns as a finishing touch, or buy them as a treat in your hotel. Even in the snow, I would go out of my way to buy them. They are cheap and delicious!! Even fans of Osaka's 551 acknowledge their deliciousness. Also, it's great that they are open late at night. Susukino is a paradise for foodies in Hokkaido. I also tried the steamed buns this time, but the volume is amazing, so it's better to refrain from buying multiple if you plan to eat them. Don't miss out on the pork bun blended soy sauce!!

Is it the nearest to Susukino Station on the Sapporo City Subway? It is a little away from the bustling nightlife of Susukino. It's a shop that sells Chinese buns even at night. I ask myself, what do I want to do??? Why am I buying Chinese buns at this time? You were just saying how smelly it was while eating Genghis Khan earlier lol. This is a palate cleanser (((^_^;) - Pork Bun Blended Soy Sauce - 300 yen - Oh~ It's hot~ Hot (@_@) The ingredients inside are incredibly delicious! Blended soy sauce? It's unclear which soy sauce they are blending, but you can strongly taste the rich soy sauce flavor in the coarsely ground pork filling. The skin on the outside is also nice and fluffy, making it delicious. And it's full of ingredients! By the way, peel off the bottom paper while it's still warm. It's harder to peel off when it cools down.

When I go to Susukino, I always see steam rising up and it caught my attention. I bought it for the first time this time. I had it for breakfast the next morning. It was a much bigger meat bun than I expected, and both the filling and the dough were delicious. I bet it would have been even tastier if I had eaten it freshly steamed on the spot. Wow, I might have missed out by not buying it until now. It has become a must-buy when I go to Susukino.

The pork bun blend soy sauce for 300 yen was delicious! The flavor was rich and it's quite addictive. It's similar to a meat sauce pork bun, but not as strong. The beef bun was also good, with a nice curry sauce. Compared to the blend, it's a bit milder in flavor. But it's still tasty in its own way. #Minshuuro #Meatbuns

This was a restaurant I had heard great things about for their Chinese buns. Relying on Google Maps to find the store, I arrived to see the sparkling sign in the evening sky. It gets dark so early in winter. While the simple Chinese buns caught my eye, I ordered the "Beef Bun (¥250)" which was my main reason for visiting! Shortly after ordering, the beef bun was served. I had only ever had Chinese buns from convenience stores, so this review is based on my limited memory. The size was about one size larger than the convenience store ones, and the bun was thick! The dough had a chewy and fluffy texture, which I would describe as "fluffy and chewy". The taste had a slight sweetness with the umami flavor of the filling infused throughout, making it far from bland and very delicious! And the highlight is the filling! Can you see how delicious it looks in the photo? No, I want you to feel it!! The filling includes beef, of course, as well as onions, all mixed with a sweet sauce that is a perfect match. And most importantly, it's piping hot, which makes it even more delicious! With its generous portion, the flavor of the meat is easily discernible, and it's actually more cost-effective than convenience store buns! This was the first time I had such a delicious Chinese bun. Microwaving them would diminish the flavor, so it's essential to eat them on the spot! Next time, I might try the Bulgogi Bun. Thank you for the meal.

The soy sauce meat bun is the most popular one here? I bought it for 250 yen, the first time since high school. The store has been renovated and looks much cleaner now, with a very eye-catching sign. I forgot the name, but I bought the most popular one. It's the same price as convenience stores, but it's about 1.5 times bigger and more satisfying. I recommend buying it here rather than at a convenience store. However, it has quite a bit of garlic in it, so your breath might smell. The soy sauce flavor is delicious, with a soft and fluffy skin, like a juicy minced meat filling. They also have a bulgogi bun, which I'm curious about, and there's another Chinese bun shop nearby that I want to try soon. Thank you for the meal!

After returning from Susukino, I always end up stopping by here. I bought it the other day too. I always order the following: Pulgogi bun for 250 yen and spicy pork bun for 250 yen. The filling is voluminous and very satisfying! Delicious!!!

I ate hormone, had ramen as a finishing touch, and walked back to the hotel. Then, even though the snow had melted, there was a corner in Susukino where steam was rising into the night sky. It looked warm just by looking at it. What was it again? I looked closer and saw a Chinese bun shop. The menu only had the standard meat bun, which was constantly sold out. Even though I was already full, that steam looked so tempting. I ended up buying one. They put it in a bag for me to take away. I used it as a hand warmer, feeling the soft meat bun through the bag. Was it worth it? Just for that? Back at the hotel, I ate it. Despite being full, I took breaks to shower and get ready for bed. The sweet bean paste and fluffy dough were really delicious, better than convenience store meat buns. I need to avoid that place in Susukino when walking in winter, or I'll end up overeating. That steam is really tempting.

◆Meat Shumai (5 pieces) @600 yen Last time, I visited around 11pm and unfortunately the sought-after "Meat Shumai" was sold out. This time, I visited earlier in the evening for a rematch. According to their website, the restaurant has been in business for 29 years and sells about 1000 pieces a day. They make everything by hand with great care. The filling uses a blend of beef and pork, minimizing the use of vegetables to highlight the texture of the meat, resulting in a unique taste that can only be found at Kaisouro. They also use milk from Hokkaido for the dough. ●Meat Shumai 4.3 The size is about 5cm in diameter, which is larger than typical shumai. It is full of meaty goodness and you can really taste the flavor of the meat. Quite delicious. **Rating is based on the shumai category**
