On the way to the restaurant I wanted to go to, I happened to find a sushi restaurant that looked fun, so I decided to give it a try! It was a non-revolving sushi restaurant with all counter seats, so you could see everything from outside. It was more interesting than I expected, and surprisingly affordable! There was a smoking area in front of the restaurant, which made my husband happy. They only had ale, no beer, so my husband was a little disappointed. We ordered using QR codes on our smartphones. All the sushi had red vinegar, so the rice had a colored tint. We tried the Thai for 189 yen, the marinated egg yolk for 290 yen, which was rich and delicious, and the ikura, tobiko, and crab miso, all in bite-sized portions. The pickled ginger had a regular and a spicy option, both tasty, but I couldn't resist going back for more of the spicy one... The ginger had a sharp shape like new ginger. We also tried the Negitoro sushi recommended by the restaurant for 759 yen, which was delicious but the portion was quite small. The avocado cream cheese for 319 yen was a hit with the ladies and tasted great! The "Eel and Egg Mountain Kappa Sushi" recommended by the restaurant that the person next to us ordered was huge and could easily fill you up. It had kappa maki with two long pieces of tamagoyaki on top, and a piece of anago on top of that! The restaurant was clean, bright, and the dishes, glasses, and coasters all had different designs, which added to the fun and excitement. It was a great experience! I felt uplifted by the designs. I would love to go there for a girls' night out! Thank you for the meal! It had a trendy Sapporo sushi restaurant vibe, perfect for Instagram, and was really fun!

I went without a reservation around 8 p.m. on Saturday to satisfy my craving for zangi. But is zangi just regular fried chicken? The restaurant had a chic atmosphere and many female customers. It seemed like the pickled ginger for sushi was all-you-can-eat, but I don't think anyone can eat that much of it.

The restaurant is not very spacious so reservations are a must. They have a wide variety of drinks, and I tried the Ice Break Yubari Melon Sour and Ice Break White Peach Sour, both of which were delicious. The specialty dish is a mountain of overflowing ikura, tuna, and salmon. Many tables were ordering it. There is unlimited pickled ginger on each table. It's fun to compare the sweet and spicy ones. Everything is delicious and it's a great place to enjoy drinks.

I wanted to see the sushi I saw on Instagram in person. I fell for it on social media haha I entered around 6 pm. After that, more and more reserved customers arrived. There were quite a few solo diners as well. It's a casual seafood izakaya. Ordered with a smartphone. The service was fast. The overflowing sushi I wanted to see was indeed packed with seafood. Inside, there was a regular nori roll as well, a proper sushi (laughs). All the dishes were unique, but the taste was also delicious.

Popular restaurant, seems like you need a reservation to get in smoothly. Lots of young customers. Definitely try the overflowing ikura sushi, marimo-chan potato salad is a must-order for that Instagrammable look. The sushi rice with red vinegar was good, but the toppings were a bit too big. Tuna was good, but the ark shell was better off halved. The cilantro hand roll is a good item for cilantro haters to try, it might please the tourists.

On the second night in Sapporo, my eldest daughter wanted to eat a variety of things, so she suggested a place like an izakaya where we could also eat sushi! When I go to lunch with friends, I always make a reservation, but with family, we usually just go and if it's full, we try another place. But in winter in Sapporo, that won't work, it's too cold! So this time, we made a reservation. Walking on the snowy streets, I had to keep looking down at my feet, so I couldn't see the signs very well. The buildings were connected, so it was a bit confusing. We were trying to remember the name of the place as we walked, "Was it Maruko and Maruo? Nanako and Nanao? Gari-ko and Gari-o?" We were chatting and finally arrived at "Gari to a Gari"! Inside, there were a lot of young people, and it was a casual place! When we sat down, there were two jars of pickled ginger on the table. One was sweet vinegar and the other was salted ginger. The restaurant is named "Gari," so they must have a special focus on ginger. Even though it was cold, my husband and I toasted with beer and some kind of sour cocktail. We received a barcode to scan and order. We had salmon, squid, scallops, enoki mushrooms, fried chicken, potato salad, and more! Despite being a casual and affordable restaurant, the seafood in Hokkaido is delicious! It was a great meal. Say "Hokkaido" without touching your upper and lower lips together! Even if you say it normally, your lips won't touch!

I stayed at the "Premium Hotel CABIN Sapporo" with national travel support and enjoyed the hot springs and open-air bath. For dinner, I made a reservation for one person. There was a sign at the storefront saying "Today, reservations only." I couldn't make a reservation for one person through Tabelog, so I used Hot Pepper to reserve a seat for one person and visited the restaurant at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. There were seven people entering at the same time and about ten customers waiting afterwards. I ordered by scanning the QR code on the table to access the menu. I used to avoid this kind of ordering method because I thought it was difficult, but I learned that it's easier than trying to catch a busy waiter to place an order. First, I had a bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for 638 yen. Cheers to myself for another day of hard work. The appetizer for 385 yen included shishamo, wasabi greens pickles, and scallop ear salted fish. I had to imagine the names of these dishes since there was no explanation, but they all went well with alcohol. I then ordered the Marimo-chan potato salad for 539 yen, which had a healing visual appearance. It was a ball-shaped potato salad covered with plenty of seaweed, with a cheese eye and a soft-boiled egg yolk inside. It was delicious and cute, definitely a must-try dish. When I brushed my teeth at night, there was a lot of seaweed stuck to them. The popular three kinds of sushi for 737 yen included tuna red meat, fatty salmon, and amberjack. The vinegar was red, and the wasabi was self-applied from a small packet on the table. The egg for 99 yen was also a must-try dish, with a giant egg with a beautiful cross-section. The taste was also delicious. The shrimp mayo sushi for 198 yen had small shrimp, mayonnaise, and green onions. It was shaped like a round ship in a barrel, not the usual boat shape. The hand-rolled sushi Genghis Khan for 319 yen was recommended, with finely sliced seasoned Genghis Khan meat on top. It was a bit difficult to eat, but the taste was not bad. Lastly, I had the mackerel sushi for 176 yen, which took a while to arrive, and I had to remind them to bring it. I forgot to take a picture because I was a little annoyed. I spent 1 hour and 10 minutes there and paid a total of 3,091 yen. It's nice to have restaurants with specialties like Marimo-chan and giant eggs.

Despite the lack of year-end parties due to the pandemic, Susukino is quite crowded with many shops. The restaurant here has a stylish vibe, different from the typical sushi restaurant, more like a sushi cafe or sushi bar. I sat at the counter and ordered a Chita highball. The ordering system involves scanning a QR code. It's fine when you're not drunk, but it might be difficult to order with a smartphone when you're tipsy. The sushi pieces I ordered were tuna, yellowtail, marinated mackerel, squid, and sweet shrimp. Surprisingly, the sushi rice was seasoned with red vinegar! Normally, using red vinegar is a sign of dedication at traditional Edo-style sushi restaurants, but nowadays it can be seen as a strategy to make the sushi seem more special. The red vinegar flavor here is subtle, making it a type of sushi that appeals to everyone. I intended to order egg sushi as a final dish, but somehow horse sashimi arrived. Even though I didn't ask for it, it seems the digital ordering system made it so. Well, I don't mind because I don't dislike it. I finished with egg sushi and self-serve green tea, and it was a fun time. The clientele here is quite young. I only ordered plain sushi this time, but there are visually appealing sushi and menu items that seem to be popular. Perhaps the casual and user-friendly atmosphere is what makes this place popular.

Recently, there is a trendy neo-izakaya with a stylish sign and a cute atmosphere inside. The place is mostly crowded with young people, women, and couples. I visited with my boyfriend and a friend, and we had made a reservation in advance which was a good idea because the place was quite busy. There are long counter seats and booth seats, and we sat at a booth for three people. The menu mainly consists of seafood and fish dishes, with a lot of sushi, sashimi, and horse sashimi which are my favorite. And the quality is so high! We were all impressed by how delicious the food was, not just trendy-looking. I thought maybe it would be awkward for men to come alone, but it doesn't matter, I still recommend coming to eat here at least once!

I visited this restaurant recently because I saw some good reviews about it. I was a bit hesitant to go alone, so I asked a friend to come along. However, the restaurant was spacious and not crowded, so I realized I could have gone alone after all. We ordered the following dishes: Firefly squid with vinegar, Marimo-chan potato salad, Overflowing sushi with sauce, Sushi with cherry blossom meat and sea urchin, bottled beer, and highball x2. The potato salad and overflowing sushi with sauce were must-try dishes. The overflowing sushi with sauce looked delicious and was actually very tasty with various flavors mixing together. The potato salad had eggs in it and was better than expected. The firefly squid was a bit of a miss, but it paired well with sake. Overall, it was a satisfying meal and I look forward to trying their regular sushi next time. Thank you for the meal!

The spacious interior defies the traditional image of a sushi restaurant, exuding a modern vibe. I ordered a refreshing Sapporo Premium Ale for 390 yen, served in a thin glass. You can conveniently place orders using your smartphone to scan the QR code, allowing you to order at your own pace without any appetizers. The selection of dishes to accompany drinks is extensive and reasonably priced. I tried the "Mozuku Vinegar" for 429 yen, a healthy and refreshing dish made with vinegar and ginger. Although you can order sushi by the piece, I opted for the "Popular Three Pieces" for 572 yen to save time. The sushi was prepared by a young staff member, which was a bit concerning at first. However, it turned out to be surprisingly delicious! The rice was seasoned with red vinegar, providing a perfect balance. The slices of tuna, yellowtail, and salmon were reasonably thick and fresh. Today I would like to introduce "Sake and Sushi Gari to Agari Susukino-ten" restaurant. It is a neon-lit establishment located in the entertainment district. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a Korean drama like Itaewon Class. The restaurant attracts a diverse crowd, from young people to groups of friends. Many of the dishes are Instagram-worthy and seem to be designed to appeal to a wide audience. I made a reservation and was seated at the counter. The interior of the restaurant has a mix of traditional Japanese elements and a casual vibe for enjoying sushi. It feels like a Hollywood version of Japan that you might see in movies. I ordered the "Tuna Cheek Liver Sashimi Style," which is meant to be eaten with sesame oil. My impression was... well, it was okay. I tried various other dishes as well, but nothing stood out as particularly outstanding that would make me want to come back again. While I can see the appeal in terms of atmosphere and aesthetics, personally, I felt satisfied enough after this visit.

We visited with two friends at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and the staff were very polite. The Hokkaido melon sour we drank was delicious and reasonably priced. If we travel to Hokkaido again, we would like to visit this restaurant.

I was also interested in sushi, but my stomach was already full, so I only had sake and two dishes. The interior of the restaurant is bright, clean, and has a nice atmosphere. There are various types of sake available! The crab cream croquette has a fluffy inside and a crispy outside. It's delicious! The tuna cheek meat has a chewy texture and is seasoned with olive oil. This way of eating is also delicious, but I prefer it with soy sauce. I liked that there was no appetizer, so I could casually enjoy my drink. I would like to try more of their dishes.

Visited here with Marimo-chan, who loves grilled fish, not Sumo ^^; It's quite a distance from the station, right across from a certain shop. From the outside, you can see inside through the glass. There are booths at the back, but when you enter, there is a counter. Only the daily recommendations are posted on the acrylic partition, and the rest of the menu can be ordered by scanning the QR code and using your smartphone. Each person ordered what they liked on their smartphone, and the bill can be combined for both orders. We ordered Tororo with a raw egg, grilled yellowtail collar, edamame, tamagoyaki, medium fatty tuna, gizzard, seared gizzard, cured mackerel, greens, negi (green onions), meat sushi, beer, lemon sour, and a small bottle of sake. The otoshi was pickled ginger! It was small, making it perfect for snacking. Here comes the green-eyed Sumo-chan. Inside is a creamy yolk. The potato salad was lightly seasoned but had an interesting twist. The yellowtail collar was quite large, with a moderate amount of fat. The sushi prices were reasonable. The rice was small but just right for drinking. The medium fatty tuna was quite good. This companion really likes eggs ^ ^ It's nice to be able to drink with izakaya dishes and sushi. I really like this place where you can easily and casually enjoy sushi. Today, I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have tuna, but I enjoyed surf clam, scallop, and marinated tuna instead. I also tried the tear roll with mountain wasabi - so addictive! Not only the sushi, but the izakaya menu is also cheap, plentiful, and delicious. Especially recommended is the steamed clams, which have a great volume. The pickled ginger that comes as a side dish is incredibly tasty and goes well with drinks. The only downside is that the alcohol is a bit pricey, but I will definitely come back.

It is delicious. Crab miso for 121 yen: It is rich in filling and topped generously, but the piece itself is small. Green onions for 176 yen. Enoki mushrooms for 176 yen. Fried tofu with seaweed for 308 yen. Two-color bracken rice cake for 418 yen: Matcha and soybean flour flavors, slightly firm, might not be desirable for a second serving. Comes with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, but the whipped cream is pre-made, so I left some. The total bill was less than 4000 yen, and it was a delicious and cost-effective restaurant.
