Ramen that seems to be fish-based soup. It's a sweet and light soy sauce flavor. It feels like ramen from a town near the sea. It's easy to eat. And then, there's soy milk ramen. It has a mild salt ramen-like taste, but at the end, you can faintly taste the soy milk. The lettuce, not cabbage or Chinese cabbage, blends well with the soup and is easy to eat. I might want to eat it again. The noodles have a nostalgic straight shape. It reminds me of school lunch. They stretch easily, but it's okay if they stretch, this type is fine, I think as I eat. The fried rice is the delicious kind you eat at home on a Saturday afternoon! It has many different ingredients. When I was a child, I only knew onion fried rice. Eating anything made me feel warm and cozy. The owner seemed intimidating at first glance, but was actually very soft-spoken.

This is a diner located in the Hagi-no district of Shiraoi Town. It is about a 5-minute drive from the national highway, with few tourists and mostly local residents visiting the shop. When I visited before noon, many locals were already enjoying ramen and gyoza set meals. I was torn between miso curry ramen and soy sauce ramen, but I chose the soy sauce ramen. The seafood-based soup paired well with the thin noodles, making it a delicious ramen. The katsu-don (served separately) that other customers ordered looked very appetizing, so I would like to try that next time. Since the shop is run by the owner alone, I recommend allowing some extra time when visiting.

I felt like seeing the master, so I visited for the first time in 3 years. I ordered the Shoyu Ramen. It might not be enough for younger people, but this light soup is really delicious. After eating, I had a chat time for about 30 minutes until the next customers arrived. Master: "Stay healthy and keep up the good work! (^^)" Me: "You too, Master! (^^)" Shoyu Ramen 730 yen. Thank you for the meal! (^^)v

Neighbor Mairebi's Mat-chan used to review a restaurant that served katsu ramen. I had decided in my heart that I would definitely order the katsu ramen when I came here, but... (^^;; I ordered the "Shoyu Ramen for 680 yen". My wife ordered the "Miso Curry for 800 yen". Now, let's taste it! Me: "I should have ordered the katsu ramen~ (ノД`)" Wife: "You can order it next time." Me: "Isn't it rare to eat curry ramen this time?" Wife: "Well, you can smell curry when you enter the restaurant♪" Me: "So it's curry miso?" Wife: "Miso adds more richness, I think?" Me: "Curry ramen isn't ramen!" Wife: "Then what is curry udon?" Me: "Curry!" Wife: "???" Me: "Because pouring curry over rice makes curry rice, right?" Wife: "???" Shoyu Ramen for 680 yen: - Noodles: Uncommon medium-thin straight noodles. But doesn't feel low hydration. Should have asked about the noodle factory (^^;; - Soup: Classic soy sauce flavor. The acidity of soy sauce is pleasant. The saltiness doesn't stand out, but it's not too subtle either. An exquisite balance that makes you want to eat it over and over again. Miso Curry for 800 yen: - Noodles: Seems to be the same as the shoyu ramen. Not differentiated. - Soup: A curry flavor that is light yet rich. I'm not familiar with curry ramen, so this is the extent of my description (^^;; ☆Cafeteria Menu: My wife found the "Scallop and Shrimp Fry Set Meal" and said, "I want to eat this, right?" (laughs) It's a cafeteria that comes in handy when it's nearby!

Still basking in the afterglow of TOM775's Katsura series, I decided to try the second installment. I knew that Katsura Ramen wasn't on the menu, so I asked the chef if there was a secret menu. Without saying a word, he nodded. I requested Katsura Ramen in soy sauce flavor, and he agreed. Yay! Katsura Ramen in soy sauce flavor for 950 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal! Also, I offer my condolences for the passing of the 61-year-old female owner last month.

When I visit Shiraoi, I always make sure to stop by this place. It's a bit hard to find, but it's always crowded during lunchtime because it's a popular spot. I love their vegetable soy sauce ramen, I finish every drop of the light soup! The pork cutlet bowl is also delicious, but the miso soup is super tasty! The super friendly mama and the cool master create a warm, homely atmosphere that I love! Also, just between us (haha), they have a wide variety of secret menu items. The grilled Atka mackerel set meal and AKY (stir-fried noodles with thick sauce) at this ramen shop are also delicious. (^^)/

Located in Shiraoi Town, Shiraoi District, Hokkaido, this restaurant is a hidden gem that only locals know about. It may be difficult to find, but once you know the key points, it's easy to locate. Just near Hagino Driving School, take a small intersection at a non-self-service gas station, cross the railroad crossing, turn left at the crossroads about 200 meters ahead, and you will find the restaurant across from the "Donguri no Ie" nursing home.
The menu offers a variety of dishes such as ramen, rice bowls, and set meals. One interesting item on the menu is the soy milk ramen. Despite expecting a completely white soup, the soy milk ramen turned out to be a light and salty broth with a hint of soy milk. It was delicious, and even those who are not fond of soy milk can enjoy it. While personally wishing for a stronger soy milk flavor, the overall taste was satisfying. Next time, I might ask for extra soy milk.
