After eating salt ramen at a long-established Chinese restaurant in a nostalgic neighborhood, I finished my soup and suddenly felt a strong thirst. I thought I needed something sweet to satisfy it, so I headed to this particular shop without even realizing it. It had been years since I last went down to the basement level, and as I looked around, I found the shop selling Tokachi Daimyo oyaki. They were offering a discount on a pack of two, with only "red bean paste" and "cream" flavors available. I usually prefer red bean paste, but decided to try something different this time. When I got home, I cut each in half to examine. The red bean paste was well-made with little variation in size, unlike other shops. The cream filling was also generous and tasted delicious. It reminded me of my childhood preference for cream over red bean paste, but ultimately, I still prefer the red bean paste. It suits my taste better.

I bought some Sazae's Tokachi dango (sesame sauce) for dessert after lunch, and I'm currently hooked on them! The dango comes pre-packaged here, so you can't buy them by the piece... I wanted to buy 3 today, so I'm a little disappointed, but I was able to get the last one, so it's all good for now. As always, the combination of flavorful sesame sauce and firm mochi is delicious.

- I visited Sazae Shokuhin on the basement 1st floor of AEON Sapporo Kotoni store. It is located on the same floor as the AEON grocery section, but you need to pay separately at each place, they are not connected. - It is rare, but the staff at the store was a bit curt, so I rated it 2.0 stars. - Chain stores with a nationwide presence are rated with a maximum of 2.5 stars. - I purchased 2 pieces of Tokachi Ohagi (with sweet red bean paste) for 300 yen (excluding tax) when I stopped by AEON around 7:10 PM. They were on sale for half price, so the actual cost was 150 yen (excluding tax). The Ohagi from Sazae uses red beans from Tokachi and sticky rice from Hokkaido, and it is recognized as a soul food. However, as mentioned in the title, this one had sweet red bean paste which was a first for me! The moist texture was a bit different but still delicious. Personally, I prefer the regular red bean paste. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at the AEON Konoe store, which seems to be directly connected to the Konoe Subway Station. I bought yakitori for lunch. As an extra dish, I added onigiri from the Sazae restaurant across the street. The selection at Sazae is quite good. I chose the recommended item, the "Teritama Roll" for 220 yen before tax. It's hard to tell from the picture, but it's a roll with teriyaki wrapped in leaves, rice, and thinly cooked egg. This is definitely delicious. The egg and rice are fluffy, the teriyaki has a strong flavor, and the meat is tender. The leaves also add a nice touch. The onigiri from Sazae is tasty, but these roll items are voluminous and really delicious. I enjoyed it with various side dishes from the bento. Once you try the roll items, you might not be able to go back to onigiri. Thank you for the meal.

Koto-ni Station on the Tozai Subway Line is directly connected to Aeon Sapporo Koto-ni Store on the basement 2nd floor. Today, even though it's for a short time, I decided to go on an expedition around Koto-ni. My immune system is quite low, so the doctor told me to be careful, and this month I've just been going back and forth between work and home, and hospital and home, accumulating a lot of stress (lol). I try to avoid crowds as much as possible, wearing a mask and using disinfectant... and so on. Ugh, I've had enough! Doctor! You told me to be careful, but it's already the end of the month. Until then, I've been playing around in the city all the time (lol). Isn't the hospital the most dangerous place, Doctor? I decided to go out and play on the subway despite feeling a bit scared, so I got off at Koto-ni. I'm a coward who can't fully commit. Well, it might be better than Sapporo Station, Odori, or Susukino... maybe? When I got off the subway, I went straight to Aeon since it's directly connected from the subway. I visited this place right near the entrance to the underground. My purpose was tempura. Lately, I've been visiting for oyaki, but back in my student days, this was my favorite. After seeing Mairebi's review, I couldn't help but want to eat it. It was quite crowded, and the daily special items were selling well. The tempura and gomoku rice ball set was a special offer for today, but I ended up just getting the tempura. I ordered the shrimp tempura for 185 yen, which I intended to get alone, but I couldn't resist adding the white oyaki cream for 90 yen (lol). Dessert after a meal is necessary, right? I brought it home and ate it. Shrimp Tempura - 185 yen I love this so much! The soy sauce-soaked rice and the soy sauce-soaked shrimp tempura are irresistible. The soft seaweed is also great (*´▽`*) Cream White Oyaki - 90 yen The white dough is chewy! The custard cream is rich and creamy, but not too sweet. I prefer the regular oyaki, but this is also delicious. It's nice to have this once in a while too. Thank you for the meal (*´▽`*) And now, currently. As the doctor said, I caught a cold and am lying in bed... (>_<) It's not the flu, so that's good at least. I'll take it easy for a while and slowly release the reviews I've been accumulating... (´・ω・`)

After work, I stopped by "Sazae AEON Sapporo Kotoni Store" to buy dinner. It is located in the food section of AEON Sapporo Kotoni Store. I bought the "Tokachi Daimyo Oyaki (Chestnut Cream) 2 pieces" (240 yen) and the "Gomoku (Onigiri) 2 pieces" (310 yen). In Osaka, they call it "kaitenyaki," but in Sapporo, it's called "oyaki." It was my first time trying the chestnut cream, and it was delicious. The gomoku onigiri was also tasty.

On Saturday morning, I was in Kotoni. I checked out of the hotel and they offered to hold my car for me, so I decided to wander around Kotoni again today. The hotel said they would hold the car until noon, so I explored the familiar streets of Kotoni. I ended up at Aeon, and since the time to pick up my car had passed, I moved it to the underground parking lot at Aeon. I saw a Sazae store while moving the car, and I thought maybe I could conquer all the Sazae stores at this rate...just kidding. I was thinking about having tempura today, but I already bought some food for dinner last night, like onigiri from Sato Suisan. I also considered sushi rolls and inari sushi, but I already bought inari at the market earlier. So, I ended up getting dango instead. I wanted two with soy sauce and two with chunky red bean paste, but they only had one with chunky red bean paste, so I got four with smooth red bean paste instead. If my sister was here, it would be perfect, but since she's not, we'll have to fight over them between the three of us. If my sister wasn't here, I would have to give one to the dog. The dango with mitarashi sauce (mine) was flatter than usual, but the taste was still good. The chunky red bean paste was the best, as expected from Sazae. The sweetness of the red bean paste went well with the mochi. It was a bit sweet, but delicious.

After finishing shopping and heading back, my daughter said she wanted to eat natto maki before getting on the subway. Since one wasn't enough, I also bought some spicy inari that we enjoyed last time. The elderly cashier wrapped it up for us, took our money, and we headed home. When my daughter opened the natto maki, she was surprised by the way it was wrapped. It seemed intentional... Was it malicious? It's natto maki, right? Spicy inari, right? Despite the questionable wrapping, my daughter tried the natto maki. "It's spicy!!" she exclaimed... Of course, the spiciness of the inari transferred to the natto maki... The appearance of the wrapping also seemed kind of... strange...

My memory of Sapporo is from a long time ago, during the year I spent studying for entrance exams. I stayed in Sapporo during that time and tried Sazae (turban shell) ohagi and red rice with sweet beans. When I mentioned it to a local colleague in Kotoni where I was working, they told me, "You can buy them at AEON." So, on my way back, I stopped by AEON and bought two packs of Sazae ohagi with sweet red bean paste. I went back to my hotel room and had them as a late-night snack and dessert, finishing both of them! The slightly salty mochi rice wrapped in red bean paste with a hint of azuki bean fragrance was delicious. It was light and tasty, just like I remembered from the past.

Koto-like Ion's "Sazae" is a place I have used several times in the past without realizing it. The sales floor is similar to other stores, offering products such as onigiri, rolled sushi, dorayaki, and ohagi. This time I got the "thick rolled sushi" to take home. The rice was cooked firm, the roll was medium-sized, with a mild vinegar flavor. It has a simple taste that is not bad. The ingredients include egg, dried gourd, pickled ginger, cucumber, etc. The amount of soy sauce and sweetness are just right, but nothing special. I like thick rolls with lots of ingredients and less vinegar rice. Please pretend you didn't hear that (laughs). It was just the right amount for two people to have for dinner. Thank you for the meal.

- Chicken Cutlet Curry Onigirazu, 190 yen (excluding tax) I found this item at Sazae, which is famous for Tokachi Ohagi! It's called Onigirazu, but it's not something you have to squeeze! (laughs) It's a bit different from a rice burger, but this item has a chicken cutlet curry sandwiched between a light curry-flavored Onigirazu. The curry is really mild, and the taste of mayonnaise on the cutlet is strong. Personally, I wish it had a bit more curry flavor. Thank you for the meal.

Rurururururu, it's a nice day again♪ So, I'm eating a little onigiri in the underground where the sun doesn't shine on a nice day. I sometimes buy Wakame-chan's onigiri, but Katsuo-kun is not bought often. They don't sell Anago, Fugu, or other seafood except for Sazae. I sometimes buy Norishake. I buy Tamagotama sometimes, meow. It's about onigiri. In this harsh world, I'll mention that it's a joke. I bought a Gomaume onigiri, which should have sesame seeds inside. It has a sesame flavor, and the saltiness is not bad. Also, the sourness of the pickled plum really stimulates my appetite, but I'll resist eating just one to satisfy my hunger. I tell myself that it's better for my body than eating something sweet and enjoy it. I think it's better than the 3 o'clock sushi. But I still want to eat additive-free onigiri. But I'll buy and eat it again. It's convenient and I want to support it. Overall rating 3.3, Taste 3.3, Service 3.3, Atmosphere 3.0, Cost performance 3.5, Drink - Location: 2-2 Kotoni 2-4-2, Nishi-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido, B2F AEON Sapporo Kotoni Store Sazae AEON Sapporo Kotoni Store ☆☆☆ Next Episode Preview ☆☆☆ I went to Nishi-ku to work♪ But I forgot my wallet and went back to the office♪ Everyone is laughing, I'm laughing too♪ Rurururururu, it's a nice day again♪ In reality, there are times when I hurriedly return to the office because I forgot my wallet. ANA & Mitsui Garden Hotel Sapporo Weekend Getaway without Overdoing It - 1 Night 2 Days 2014.04.19-04.20 <14> Found Something Nice at the Specialty Shops Floor B2 of Daiei Kotoni Store - Sazae of Tokachi. When I want to eat Sazae, I usually go to Mitsukoshi, but the Sazae bought at the source may have a different taste. I bought a pack of two Tokachi ohagi (with sweet bean paste) and got a nice 30 yen discount around 5:30 in the evening. Brought it back to the room for a drink. The menu for the day was Sapporo Classic on the rocks as the main drink, along with chikuwa panda bought at Donguri, fresh scallops from the Daiei food section (these are the best!), and the Tokachi ohagi for dessert. The perfect sweetness and plenty of sweet bean paste made one piece enough, so the rest was saved for the next day. For me, Sazae has always been synonymous with delicious ohagi. Eating it in its birthplace of Hokkaido made me feel relieved and satisfied. The conclusion of the "Ohagi & Delicious Stories" - Tokachi Sazae. Total cost for 2 pieces: 302 yen - 30 yen = 272 yen.

Sazae is a chain of stores that sell various traditional Japanese snacks such as Ohagi, rolled sushi, bento boxes, side dishes, onigiri, and oyaki. They have over 80 stores in Hokkaido, around 50 stores in Tohoku and Kanto regions, and over 40 stores in Sapporo alone. In Sapporo, you can find Sazae stores in department stores like Daimaru, Mitsukoshi, Marui Imai, and Tokyu. They are also present in large supermarkets. The stores in department stores use a different name than Sazae and have a different product lineup. Some stores may not offer oyaki. Overall, supermarkets tend to have a wider variety of products. The reviewer visited a Sazae store at the food court of Daiei Kotoni store in Sapporo and bought oyaki with sweet red bean paste and cream fillings. The reviewer felt that the amount of filling in the oyaki has decreased recently, but the taste remains the same. Sazae stores are becoming rare in Sapporo, making them a convenient and valuable option for purchasing traditional snacks.

When you enter the Daiei store directly connected from the subway Kotoni Station, you will find this shop right away. Their ohagi is famous. The sweet bean paste and rice are not too sweet or too soft, making it easy to eat. It was delicious. It's best to eat it right away as it tends to harden the next day after purchase. They also sell bento boxes, onigiri, and imagawayaki. The tempura rice cake seemed to be a popular choice and it was quite satisfying. In the evening, discounted items are also displayed, adding to the sense of value.
