【Takeout】Located in an area between Asahikawa and Sakae-machi in the northern part of Sapporo, where residential areas and companies are mixed, this shop has been loved by the local people for a long time. They offer specialty organic vegetables directly from the local market, tofu and fried tofu from Niobe Tofu Shop in Atsuta that arrives every Thursday, as well as locally produced wines and a selection of Japanese sake. The shop is located about 220 meters north from the intersection of Kita 35-jo Higashi 2-chome Line and Sapporo Shindo. On my first visit on September 30, 2022, I found this shop while heading there in the morning. The atmosphere of the shop was amazing, and I visited after having ramen. Luckily, they had the Atsuta tofu in stock as it arrived yesterday. The fried tofu was sold out except for reserved orders. Atsuta is quite far from Shin Sapporo and not served by JR trains, so it was a rare opportunity for me to visit. I couldn't miss this chance, so I bought the tofu. The taste was rich with a soybean flavor and went well with a little soy sauce. I also found some rare items in the sake corner, such as a 1-sho bottle of domestic wine and a sake from Koikawa Shuzo. I purchased the Junmai sake Koikawa Shinshu Arabashiri for 1200 yen. It was made from rice and rice koji without added alcohol, with a slightly lower sweetness and strong alcohol content. It pairs well with dried seafood. Overall, it was a great find and a good match for our home's secret snack. Additionally, for every 1000 yen spent, you can receive a 300 yen coupon that can be used at the Sapporo Central Market (excluding tobacco), making it a great deal, especially when purchasing alcohol.

One evening, a one-liter bottle of wine appeared for my drinking session. Asaya Special (white) is a dry white wine made mainly from Koshu grapes, with an alcohol content of 12% ABV. It is made from 100% grapes from Yamanashi Prefecture, and surprisingly refreshing and easy to drink. Before I knew it, the one-liter bottle was empty as I drank it heartily. It's a charming wine that can easily captivate wine lovers.
Asaya Winery (Asaya Bussan Co., Ltd.) was founded in 1921 in Katsunuma, Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture. Located in the birthplace of Japanese grapes, Katsunuma, the winery is dedicated to the cultivation and selection of high-quality local grapes, as well as the meticulous brewing techniques to bring out the charm of the ingredients. They strive for "wine making that reflects the local terroir."

In September 2022, I visited a shop located in a residential area in Higashi-ku. They sell Atsuta tofu, aburaage, and other products. The shop is small, but surprisingly they have a variety of unique alcoholic beverages like craft beer and wine. The shop owner is very knowledgeable and provides detailed explanations. I bought a one-liter bottle of wine and received a coupon that can be used until November 20th. The white wine, made from 100% grapes from Yamanashi prefecture, is based on Koshu grapes and is easy to drink. I enjoyed it so much that it quickly disappeared. I plan to use the coupon to buy a different wine next time.
