Tonight, I had a solo drinking session at the Izakaya Taiga, a cozy restaurant. Usually, I would go for sashimi, but they had rice sushi! Of course, it was homemade. I enjoyed the flavors of autumn and hokke fish in the rice sushi. It's so delicious, and you can tell it takes time and effort to make. It's not something you can find everywhere. I paired the rice sushi with a red Kuro Kirishima shochu and also had some early Udovinegar miso salad. It's a great place to eat and drink. #Izakaya #IzakayaGourmet #HokkaidoGourmet #SapporoGourmet #North24Gourmet

There are many items on the menu that you don't see often, making it fun to explore. You can tell they put a lot of effort into sourcing high-quality ingredients. The fish and meat are delicious. If you're in the 24th district, this restaurant is highly recommended!

I visited this amazing restaurant on 24th Street. If you live nearby and haven't been there yet, you should definitely go as soon as possible! They serve fresh Kawahagi sashimi (with liver) and super fresh horse sashimi from Kumamoto at less than half the usual price. The regular menu is also delicious and affordable, with a wide variety of Japanese sake available at discounted prices for tasting. It's a rare find, so make sure to get to know the owner and get insider tips on special deals!

When it comes to the topic of the grand river, I immediately thought of a certain year's historical drama. I was thinking of making a joke related to the Shinsengumi! but since I haven't watched many historical dramas, nothing came to mind. However, I do expect delicious dishes made with fresh ingredients. I had been planning to go to a different restaurant, but ended up at Izakaya Daigawa after walking quite a distance. Despite it being Friday night, the restaurant I originally planned to go to was closed, so it was quite challenging wandering around in the snow. Nevertheless, we ended up at Izakaya Daigawa. We ordered some food at the restaurant: udo vinegar miso salad, bamboo shoot sashimi, and assorted sashimi. The Sapporo Classic beer was served in a sherbet-like frozen state, which was very refreshing. It might have been a bit too cold for winter, but I don't mind a well-chilled beer. We also had some appetizers, including a homemade potato salad with broccoli and mayo dip. The sashimi assortment included delicious red tuna and decent salmon, although the scallop seemed a bit suspicious at first. The bamboo shoot sashimi was crunchy and fresh, seasoned with vinegar miso and soy sauce. It paired well with beer and would probably go well with sake too. The udo vinegar miso salad had a refreshing taste, perfect for enjoying the flavors of spring. Despite the heavy snow outside, we had a tasty meal at this restaurant. Overall rating: 3.3 Taste: 3.4 Service: 3.2 Atmosphere: 3.2 Value for money: 3.3 Drinks: 3.2 Address: Ivy Palace 24, 2-1-8 Kita 24-jo Nishi 2, Kita-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido Izakaya Daigawa ☆☆☆ Next episode preview: I will be back in the 24 area on a golden day.
