It's been a while since I had a bento from Hotto Motto. They had a sale on Katsudon, so I ordered the Beef and Egg Katsudon for 390 yen. Hmm, did the price affect the portion size? "I visited the restaurant around 5 pm on Sunday. This is my last meal before going back to work after the holidays. I ordered the Meat and Vegetable Stir-Fry Bento for 500 yen, the special Pork Miso Soup for 100 yen (limited time offer), and 5 pieces of Salted Chicken Wings for 240 yen. The miso soup was only 100 yen, which was a great deal! I used to enjoy the Meat and Vegetable Stir-Fry Bento a lot in my 20s, so I couldn't resist ordering it. It brought back memories. The vegetables were crunchy and there was a lot of them, making the bento feel healthy. I also couldn't resist getting the Chicken Wings, even though the Chicken Karaage might have been a better choice. It's the ultimate side dish for bento, in my opinion. The miso soup was pre-made but still delicious. I always wonder, is it "butajiru" or "tonjiru"? I always say "butajiru," which seems to be the minority opinion. I feel like in Hokkaido, "butajiru" is more common. Anyway, my winter break is over. Oh, the cruelty of time. I might get accused of aging fraud again. lol"

I visited this restaurant after a long time for dinner on my day off. I ordered the Beefsteak Combo for 890 yen. Since I had a light lunch earlier than usual (it was past 9 am, so it felt like a mix of breakfast and lunch), I decided to go for a slightly more substantial bento for dinner. Unfortunately, the Fried Oyster Bento was not available yet (it starts from the day after my visit, from October 2nd), so I went with the Special Beefsteak Bento instead. However, when I tried to make a reservation online, this bento was not listed for some reason, so I settled for the Beefsteak Combo. The meat was thin but tough and chewy, both the hamburger and chicken. I also didn't like the taste of the steak sauce that came with it. Maybe it was because I didn't eat it right away but waited a bit before digging in. It came with a sunny-side-up egg and corn on top (some people might not like the corn). Thank you for the meal.

On Monday at 4:15 pm, I visited the restaurant for takeout and ordered the "Imabari-yaki pork and egg rice bowl" for 500 yen. It was a full day with no dinner break, so I made a reservation on my phone during lunch break and picked it up. The restaurant is located at the corner of the intersection where Route 258 and Route 600 meet. The parking lot is a bit small, located in front of the store near GEO. It has been beautifully renovated and looks stylish inside, quite a surprise! When I opened the door, I noticed that the door that used to hit the back of people sitting on the bench has been replaced with a regular automatic door. There were several customers, including a salaryman waiting for his bento, two women, and a man in work clothes, indicating that the restaurant was busy. I usually order the "meat and vegetable stir-fry bento," but this time I decided to try something different, which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. The thick half-cooked egg with white yolk was good (I like white yolk), but the sauce on the pork was oddly sweet and salty, not really to my liking. Hotto Motto Chitose Shinano Store is a shop located facing Chitose Station front street, where even My Reviewer has visited. It's really convenient, but for a large group like us, the cost performance is not that great, so maybe we'll only buy once a year unless something special happens. For lunch, I didn't have the idea of "Hotto Motto" in mind. But I'm curious about the Tanita supervised bento (*´∀｀*) The collaboration between Tanita and Hotto Motto. The concept is a meal with less than 500 calories, plenty of vegetables, less than 3g of salt, and a satisfying chewiness. There are three different daily options. On this day, it was pork mixed vegetables, I think? I bought it and ate it at work. The mixed vegetables included Chinese cabbage, snow peas, lotus root, green onions, onions, shiitake mushrooms, and carrots. The meat was thinly sliced without fat. The vegetables had a good texture, not too soft, and a satisfying crunch. The seasoning was light, but I didn't feel unsatisfied. The rice was finished in three bites for my big mouth, but I ate it bit by bit. It was too little... The vinegar miso-dressed rapeseed flowers and a little bit of okara. I only bought one item for myself (my favorite yakiniku, which I always get, as I already had rice at home). The young male staff member was polite and pleasant. Thank you for the meal!

March 2013 As I was passing by, I noticed a tonkatsu poster on the wall. It advertised tonkatsu made with "sangenton" pork, available for a limited time starting at 5 p.m. It seemed quite challenging, but being a big fan of tonkatsu, I knew I had to try it. So, I rushed to the store around 8 p.m. only to find out that they were sold out for the day. I tried again another day and managed to get my hands on the "thick-cut tonkatsu bento." I also bought some side dishes like chicken wings, fried potatoes, and fried chicken to go with it. The tonkatsu was incredibly tender and the original sauce with sesame seeds was delicious. The chicken wings and fried potatoes were consistent in quality. I tried going back a few more times, but they were always sold out. I hope to eat there again soon. December 2012 My husband was working the night shift, so we wanted some snacks for our evening drinks. It was around 3 p.m., and I realized I had skipped lunch, so I decided to buy something from a nearby restaurant. I got the "salt koji grilled salmon and ikura bento" while my husband got fried potatoes, chicken wings, and a chicken basket. I was a bit hesitant about my bento because I usually don't like koji, but the salmon was soft and didn't have a strong koji taste. The side dishes were delicious, and I finished everything quickly. The chicken basket was juicy and hot, while the chicken wings had a different coating that I didn't enjoy as much. The fried potatoes were tasty with just the right amount of salt. I also bought a kaki fry bento later, which was juicy and fragrant. Unfortunately, I couldn't get it again as it was sold out. I hope to have it again next year. Lunchtime One day, before the kids came home, I went to a nearby "Hotto Motto" for lunch. I got my usual salmon bento, while my husband got a steak bento, salted chicken wings, and a chicken bowl. The wait time was around 7-8 minutes, and the food was ready quickly as it wasn't too crowded. The salmon bento smelled amazing, and the fried white fish and chikuwa tempura had a nice texture. I usually save the salmon for last because it's my favorite. The salmon was delicious, and I finished it quickly, leaving only the bones behind. I wish the bento had only the salmon side dishes. The steak bento had thin slices of meat with tasty sauce that my husband enjoyed. The chicken wings were hot and crispy, while the fried chicken was a bit cold as it had been sitting for a while. We would definitely go back, and I'll be ordering the salmon bento again.

When it comes to Hotto Motto in Chitose City, the Shinano store is the place to go! For some reason, maybe just lucky, the fried chicken here seems bigger than at other locations! I tried buying from a few other stores to confirm, and it's clear that the fried chicken at the Shinano store is bigger! As a fried chicken lover, I'm really happy about this. Maybe it's just luck, but I got the impression that the Shinano store is an honest and fair place. The salted fried chicken is good too, but the regular fried chicken is also delicious! So, why not take a break and head to Hotto Motto Shinano store, Mrs.? Go go go!

The katsu curry at Hotto Motto was cheap due to a campaign. It's a familiar dish that everyone has probably tried before, but it's delicious. Next time, I'll go for the fried chicken bento.
