On a certain weekday, I visited a bread specialty store in Koto-ni, Nishi-ku, where it seems to have calmed down a bit recently. The parking lot can accommodate about 3 cars in front of the store. I entered from a slightly strange entrance and proceeded smoothly inside the store, where there is a reception counter and some items other than bread displayed for sale. This time, I was able to enter smoothly as last time everything was sold out and I had to give up. From the menu on this day, I chose a famous store's long bread, which is difficult to eat alone, so I appreciated that this store offers half of the standard size. The creative composition also kept me interested, and so I tried the classic and the ones that caught my eye a bit. The "Plain Loaf (290 yen)" felt soft the moment I held it, and when I took a bite, the perfect moistness was just right. The crust also had a moderate elasticity, and the overall taste of the bread was well-balanced, not too sweet, with a good amount of wheat flour flavor. I prefer this over the overly sweet and complex bread from luxury bread shops. The "Tear Sugar Soft (300 yen)" was soft and elastic, with grains of sugar on top. When torn and eaten, the crunchy sugar, buttery oil, and saltiness blended well. As a bonus, when I bought 2 loaves of bread, I received a complimentary sample bread to try, and I chose a cream ice cream from 3 options. It was mentioned that it can be eaten cold, so I tried it as it is, and it was slightly dry compared to the impactful Plain Loaf. Overall, while luxury bread is good for families or gifts, delicious bread like this for everyday use is attractive. Thank you for the meal.
