Before posting a review of the special restaurant I visited in Sapporo, let me share a review of a nearby store. While stopping by at Aeon in Pura-to Chitose, I came across "Pierrot Papa" on my way. I noticed that they had a limited-time product that would soon be discontinued. Even though I planned to eat at a different restaurant later, I found myself in front of the store. I couldn't resist and ended up buying the "Twig Choux" (¥270). It's like a choux cream with a long, thin crust topped with chocolate and nuts. The crunchy texture of the chocolate and the nutty flavor added depth to the taste. It tasted delicious, almost like a cookie! It looks similar to an eclair, but I think it's worth trying. I just realized they have many other limited-time menu items as well. Well, looks like I'll be visiting again soon! Thank you for the meal.

I bought Beard Papa's cream puffs for the first time in a while. My kids were so happy, but my husband was not a fan of Beard Papa. My daughter, son, and I enjoyed them with my mother!

March 2018, I revisited the Beard Papa's store alone on a weekday. I noticed a sign saying "Kitchen renovation in progress" on a previous visit, so the store was closed. I thought the renovation wouldn't change much, but I decided to check it out later. When I went back, I saw a soft serve ice cream display, so I revisited the store again. They had a "store exclusive" soft serve ice cream, priced at 280 yen. It was a generous portion of custard soft serve ice cream, with a yellowish color and a creamy texture. The ice cream cup was cute, so I revisited the store later. The ice cream was smooth and cold, but not as creamy as before, more like a crunchy texture. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination or if it actually changed. I also bought some cream puffs, excluding the most expensive cookie cream puff. The puff was crispy and better than regular cream puffs. I also bought a custard and milk vanilla eclair, as well as a milk vanilla eclair. I usually prefer custard cream puffs, but I found the milk vanilla eclair less sweet and more to my liking. Overall, it was a satisfying experience. In December 2012, I visited Beard Papa's for the first time and tried their eclair choux for 160 yen. I love eclairs and chocolate, so I chose the custard cream eclair. The choux pastry was crispy and the cream was delicious. I also love fondant chocolate, although I found the portion a bit small. When I microwaved it for 20 seconds, the chocolate inside melted and it was delicious.

I wish they offered a mix of both creams. When we got home, we had my partner's "Mametan set meal" for dinner, followed by the cream puffs. Beard Papa's fills the cream puffs after you order, so they are crispy when you eat them. The cookie dough makes them even more delicious. It was a nostalgic experience for me, as I used to sneak bites when my parents went shopping. My partner's Mametan set meal was carefully planned with a PowerPoint presentation. It included fried horse mackerel, mixed rice, and more. It may sound like bragging, but so what? I didn't have much time to think about it, so I decided to visit Beard Papa, a specialty cream puff shop. Today, they had a special offer on Corone (a flaky pastry-like treat) cream puffs, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity. The unique thing about this shop is that even the pastry shell alone is delicious, and the cream is surprisingly light and refreshing. The Corone is like a crispy pastry that you can easily take out, making it convenient. Sometimes you just crave something like this. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.

It's been a long time since I visited Chitose Aeon. It's located in a convenient spot in the aisle, and I couldn't resist the tempting sweet smell. "It's a limited edition!" "It's only available today!" my wife said, already placing an order. We bought "Caramel Choux Cream" and "Shiro" Choux Cream, including some for the kids. - Caramel Choux Cream: The outer shell is exactly like caramel! The sweetness of brown sugar and the crispy texture are irresistible. - Shiro: The moist and chewy shell is also delicious! The woman at the register was very friendly and had a nice attitude, but the man making the sweets inside seemed uninterested or maybe that's just his usual demeanor, with a face that seemed to say "not funny." Regardless, he lacked friendliness, which was a bit disappointing. If you're dealing with delicious sweets, couldn't you be a bit more cheerful in customer service? It's a shame because the sweets are so good.

Visited on a weekday around 11:30 am in December 2014, alone. Ordered the "Rich Premium Cream Puff" and "Melon Bread Cream Puff" for a total of 430 yen. The staff was friendly, and the majority of customers were women. The parking was easy to find (shared with Aeon Chitose store) and it was easy to enter the store alone. I would consider returning. This shop injects cream into the cream puffs after you order. Since it was close to Christmas, the cream puffs were wrapped in Santa-themed packaging, which was cute. I actually only needed one cream puff, but I ended up ordering two without thinking. I also bought the melon bread cream puff, which was more expensive than the others. The melon bread had a slightly thin cookie layer, was crispy, and had a subtle sweetness which I enjoyed. I was already full when I ate the cream puffs, so it was a bit too much for me. I would like to try them again when I am feeling better. Reflecting on my experience, I realize I should have been more careful about how much I ordered. Visited again in January 2016 on a Sunday at 6 pm for takeout. Purchased two "SHIRO Fondant Chocolates" for a total of 640 yen. The previous customers were young women, and the shop was mostly filled with women. I had just finished eating at an okonomiyaki restaurant and wanted a small dessert, so I decided to buy cream puffs here. The SHIRO cream puff was about to be discontinued, so I chose it even though I'm not a fan of cheese. The texture of the cream puff was chewy and went well with the cheese cream, but the cheese flavor was a bit strong for me to eat a lot. The Fondant Chocolate was quite small but a bit pricey, probably due to the chocolate content. I ate one as it was and heated the other one as suggested in the flyer. I used the microwave instead of the oven, so the chocolate didn't melt as expected, but it was still delicious.

Whenever I go to AEON, I always end up stopping by Beard Papa. They always have new limited edition cream puffs, which I look forward to trying. During the summer, I enjoyed their cream puff ice cream a lot. This time, I tried the "Aomori Apple Cream Puff"! Cream puff with apple, isn't that unusual? I love apples, so I happily purchased it. I thought it might have diced stewed apples inside, but the cream itself is just regular white cream. However, it has a strong apple scent! It looks delicious! When I took a bite, I couldn't see any apple pieces, but the apple flavor was perfect! It harmonizes well with the whipped cream and is very delicious. It's just so refreshing! It was a delicious cream puff that made me feel the arrival of autumn! I would love to go back and have it again if I can!

First, the "Mont Blanc." The chestnut cream is smoother and easier to eat than a Mont Blanc cake. There is whipped cream underneath the chestnut cream. I don't usually eat Mont Blanc, but it was delicious! The "Melon Bread Cream Puff" has a crispy cream puff shell filled with custard? No, it's filled with the scent of melon! My mouth is full of melon. And now, the main event! The "Rich PREMIUM Cream Puff"!!! It's filled with plenty of whipped cream inside the cream puff. Just as the name suggests, it's different from regular whipped cream! I came to the store alone on a holiday around 7:00 pm because I really wanted to eat a cream puff. The store is located near the food section of Aeon, on the 1st floor. It is famous for its reputation of having a strong smell that spreads throughout the store, but I have a sense of smell disorder so I didn't notice it at all, haha. Unfortunately, the limited edition cream puffs were sold out. It was my first time visiting the store, and I didn't even know they had so many different types of cream puffs. After much deliberation, I chose two cream puffs. The cream was freshly filled using a special machine. I got "Eclair Chou x2 & Fondant Chocolat" for a total of 530 yen. However, when I put them in the fridge, my family ended up eating them... I only had one Eclair Chou in the car, so I'll share my thoughts on that. It had a crispy outer shell with a generous amount of sweet and creamy filling. The Eclair Chou had a drizzle of chocolate on top, but not too much. I wish I could have tried the Fondant Chocolat...

The Aeon Mall in Chitose also has many dessert shops. This place is a specialty cream puff shop with a wide variety of flavors, including limited edition items available only on Tuesdays. I bought some as souvenirs for my family. The process of filling the cream into the puff was impressive - you insert the cream into the puff through a nozzle and press down on a pedal to fill it up. It's like experiencing freshly made cream puffs. They cost 200 yen each, but the price feels justified. I also bought a pie puff, which had softened a bit over time, but it was still delicious with a perfect level of sweetness. As expected, eating them fresh on the spot is the best way to enjoy them.
