On a certain weekday, I had lunch at a restaurant bookmarked in Hakuishi-ku, Eitetsu 18-chome. This place serves New York-style pizza and chicken over rice. The parking lot seems to have space for 1-2 cars in front of the restaurant. The interior is designed like a traditional izakaya, with a few tables and a raised seating area. The background music playing is good quality Western music. From the menu on this day, I decided to try the cheapest options: "Cheese Slice (420 yen)" and "Chicken Breast Chicken Over Rice (750 yen)". I wanted a drink too, but it would have been too expensive, so I settled for water. The pizza was about 20cm in diameter, and it was thin, light, and had a nice chewy texture. The rich cheese and tomato sauce made it a satisfying slice. The chicken over rice was served with salad, fried chicken, turmeric rice, and a dressing with chili sauce. The chicken was a bit bland, with some skin included, and the chili sauce could have been spicier. The turmeric rice was tasty on its own. After eating both dishes, I was full. I had the Ninja Noodles (Miso) for 650 yen. It's a ramen dish, with a slightly thick and red miso-based soup. I also ordered two skewers of pork yakitori for 360 yen each. The pizza here is a whopping 50 centimeters in diameter, and you can order it by the slice. I ordered Cheese for 420 yen, Pepperoni for 550 yen, Black Olive & Anchovy for 600 yen, and Mozzarella Cheese & Basil for 630 yen. It's definitely impossible to finish it alone. Can't wait to get home and eat!
