Just next to Kotoshiro Station, there is AEON Sapporo Kotoshiro store. Inside, there is a confectionery shop called Yuzuki. I visited this shop to buy souvenirs for a friend who came to Sapporo. They offer a wide range of confectionery sets ranging from 1,000 yen to 5,000 yen, making it a very convenient store. The staff's friendly and helpful service made me want to visit again.

I ordered the An Butter cookie to take home and try, as it's often advertised as a popular item but I had never tried it before. The thick and fluffy cookie is filled with a generous amount of red bean paste and butter. It was delicious!! A mix of Japanese and Western flavors in one luxurious treat. I wish I had bought another one, I regret not doing so. Thank you for the meal.

I felt like having Yuzuki's Basque Cheesecake after a long time, so I stopped by the Kotoni store and bought one. It used to sell out every time I went due to its popularity, but recently it's been easy to buy whenever I want, which is great. I love the richness of the cheese, and the subtle sweetness really enhances the flavor. It's also nice that the taste varies depending on the part you eat. Personally, I like the slightly bitter part at the bottom.

I caught the flu and my fever has gone down, but my energy levels have dropped significantly. I apologize for the slow updates, visits, and comments. However, I've also lost weight so I guess binge eating and drinking are okay... although my stomach might hurt if I overdo it (laughs). I visited in early February. It's Yagetsu located on the 1st floor of AEON Sapporo Kotoni store directly connected to Kotoni Station on the Tozai Subway Line. I only made a short trip after being advised by my doctor to be careful because my immune system is significantly weakened. I tried to take it easy for a few days after being hospitalized at the end of January due to a health issue, but I ended up feeling stressed and pushed myself too hard. I'm now reflecting on how the doctor was right all along. It's a bit too late now (laughs). I bought onigiri and karaage from Sazae and Nihonichi on the B2 floor. And on the 1st floor, there's Yagetsu and Donguri. There are also other cafes I want to visit. But, for now, I'm trying to listen to the doctor and only get takeout. Yagetsu is located right by the entrance on the 1st floor. The sales area is quite spacious. My goal was the mikan daifuku! I regret not buying it when I saw it at Marui Imai the other day. And then, I found the "Intense White Small Cut" from Sanpuroku! I must get this. I returned home and indulged. The mikan daifuku has a soft mochi with sweet mikan bean paste. Inside, there are two clusters of sweet and sour mikan. Delicious! The Sanpuroku Intense White Small Cut is coated in white chocolate. The white chocolate is sprinkled with sugar in some places, giving it a crispy texture. The baumkuchen is moist and slightly sweeter than the usual Sanpuroku. Sanpuroku is always delicious! Yagetsu is known for Sanpuroku, right? Thank you for the meal. So many delicious sweets. I'll visit again.

After work, I stopped by Yagetsu at AEON Sapporo Kotoni store to get some sweets. It's located on the first floor of AEON Sapporo Kotoni store. I bought the "Smooth Rich Pudding" (200 yen) and the "Yukidaruma-kun" (330 yen). The pudding is as the name suggests, rich and delicious. The Yukidaruma-kun is amazing! This is really good!

This shop is located on the 1st floor of Aeon Kotoni, directly connected to Kotoni subway station. On this day, I purchased Sakura Mochi (120 yen) and Ichigo no Sanpouroku (750 yen) as a small treat. Both products really made me feel the spring season. The taste was also delicious. I accidentally left the items I bought at "Donguri," located next to this shop, inside the store. Thank you for your kind assistance. This shop sells fresh cakes, which are not commonly found in department stores, making it quite unique. If I have the chance to visit Kotoni again, I will definitely stop by. Thank you for the meal♪

Swinging through the Aeon Sapporo Kotoni, which used to be a Daiei, and heading to "Yanagi" on the first floor, which is directly connected to the subway station. Spring is approaching, and I've been comparing different types of "sakura mochi" lately. I tried the "sakura mochi and orange daifuku," both conveniently packaged in plastic at the store. I brought them home. The sakura mochi had large grains of rice with a less sticky texture and a mildly sweet bean paste filling. It was easy to eat despite being a mochi snack. The orange daifuku had a quarter-cut orange wrapped in white bean paste inside a skin. It would be nicer if the orange was a bit sweeter. Thank you for the meal.

The entrance of the underground shopping center connected to the subway, which resembles Sapporo Station Daimaru, has excellent customer service. The average score is 3.0, and I rated it between 2.9 and 3.1.

The craving for something sweet is hard to cure. After walking and having a meal, I borrowed the restroom at Yuzuki. Just borrowing it is not enough, so I will buy a little bit of sweets from Yuzuki on my way back home. Yuzuki's sweets are cheap and reliably delicious. This "Hyakudai Mochi" is the most popular at our home. It's soft and delicious, isn't it? In our home, there is a rule of survival of the fittest, regardless of age. A fierce rock-paper-scissors tournament must have taken place to win the Hyakudai Mochi (laughs). As a result, Dad came in third place and got the Tokachi Milk. It's a soft manju with white bean paste. It's delicious, but I wanted to eat the Hyakudai Mochi (laughs). I am grateful to Yuzuki for helping to smooth communication in our home. Thank you for the meal.

▽Rakugan (small) - 260 yen
▽(July 2017) A limited-time small-sized rakugan for offerings. A simple rakugan with a delicate sweetness and a crumbly texture.
▼Impressions▼
(July 2017) Along with Rokkatei, Yanagitsuki is a well-known confectionery brand from Tokachi with nationwide recognition. Their signature product, Sanpuroku, released in 1968, became a hit and is now a representative confectionery of Yanagitsuki. The shop continues to be popular with products centered around Sanpuroku, including souvenirs from Hokkaido. This branch is located on the 1st floor of the former Daiei, now AEON Sapporo Kotoni store. I was curious about the dorakurimu and purchased it along with a small rakugan for offerings. The dorakurimu was quite unique and enjoyable, while the rakugan was simple and traditional. Yanagitsuki has been introducing innovative products in recent years, which is impressive for a long-established brand. I look forward to trying more of their unusual items in the future.

When it comes to Yanagi Tsuki... it's all about Pasta Chiena! I was disappointed when I recently went and it wasn't displayed, but the staff encouraged me to not give up and go buy it. I also like the sweet Sanpuroku, but the salty Pasta Chiena is a must-try!

The willow trees are beautifully green. There is a variety of matcha sweets available such as matcha castella, sanpuroku, and pudding. Spring is all about cherry blossom sweets, while early summer is all about matcha sweets. There were samples of matcha komachi and matcha dorayaki available. Both were delicious, but unfortunately, the dorayaki was not available for purchase. The matcha komachi had a unique matcha powder coating, but the milk bean filling didn't have a strong matcha flavor. I hope to try the matcha dorayaki next time. Additionally, the popular Zucchi fondue, which I was curious about but missed the chance to try, has become a regular item due to its popularity. Matcha items will be available until the end of June.

I was in the mood for cake, so I stopped by a bakery. I chose a shortcake and a cheesecake to take with me, and while I was waiting, I noticed something unfamiliar on top of the showcase. It was a Baumkuchen rusk. I was a bit curious but was about to ignore it when the staff mentioned that it was a limited edition rusk only available on Thursdays at Daiei. Intrigued, I decided to buy it and try it at home. The texture was new to me - crispy yet crumbly, with a hint of sugar that wasn't too sweet. It had a unique taste that I quite enjoyed. If you're interested, be sure to try it on a Thursday!

Small but packed with big deliciousness! Yawaragi Yawaragi! Yawaragi's Sanpouroku is a delight to indulge in once in a while. The small size is easy to finish, with a design inspired by white birch trees using white and milk chocolate to create the appearance of birch bark. The sweetness and hardness of the chocolate on the outside, combined with the soft, fluffy Baumkuchen inside, make for a delightful treat. Personally, two bags of the small size is more than enough to satisfy my cravings. When I think of Yawaragi's Sanpouroku, the rhythmic commercial jingle always comes to mind, and I don't mind it at all. While Obihiro is known for its pork bowl, it also has a reputation as a sweets kingdom with confectionery shops like Rokkatei and Yawaragi's main store. I've been taken on a sweets shop tour in the past, but I can't remember the names of each place we visited. Next time I visit Obihiro, I'd like to explore more sweet shops using a food review app. Among Yawaragi's products, I also enjoy the Bofuulin with its crispy almond texture and unique elongated shape. I don't have any other memorable sweets from their lineup, so I look forward to trying out more of their products next time. ☆☆☆ Preview for the next episode ☆☆☆ Let's enjoy the spring♪ Let's indulge in delicious treats♪

【Takeout】Yanagitsuki, a shop representing Hokkaido with a wide variety of Japanese and Western sweets, was established in March 1947 in Obihiro. Obihiro has been a fierce battleground for sweets shops since that time, with over 60 shops. Yanagitsuki has thrived through competition and is now a prominent shop. Located on the first floor of Daiei Kotoni store, next to Donguri. Daiei Kotoni store is directly connected to Kotoni Station on the Tozai subway line. Visited for the first time on June 27, 2014 at 5 pm. Since I came all the way to Kotoni, I decided to buy something to take home. I often receive gifts from Yanagitsuki and Rokkatei, so this time I decided to buy something for myself. Inside the store, I decided what I wanted to eat based on my feelings. Tried the Tsukifuwari for 103 yen. The three flavors blended well in my mouth and were delicious.

Yuzuki is a popular confectionery shop with its main store in Obihiro!! 【February 2013】 Yuzuki, like Rokkatei, has its main store in Obihiro. Established in 1947, this year marks its 66th year. They have stores in Obihiro, Sapporo, and Kushiro. Their products are available at various airports in Hokkaido. Sapporo has the most stores, with outlets in all department stores. For more details on the store location, please check on Tabelog. Yuzuki's signature products include "Sanpouroku" and "Hyakudai Mochi." Bought "Sanpouroku" after a long time. It might be the first time since becoming a reviewer. Also bought: ■ Sanpouroku Baumkuchen inspired by white birch. Made using Hokkaido ingredients. It has a moist texture. Price: 600 yen ■ Winter Chocola Shoe Winter limited edition. Chocolate-flavored shoe pastry with chocolate custard at the bottom and whipped cream on top. The chocolate is slightly rich. Price: 110 yen ■ Setsubun Mame Bean confectionery. Comes with a small demon mask and a thick paper masu box. A snack for Setsubun. I try not to do reviews of gifts I receive, but this time I got one from my nephew who got transferred to Tokyo. He brought me Yatsuhashi as a souvenir. He's a good kid, but if I had to point out a flaw, it would be that the gift was Yatsuhashi. It's not a common choice, but if he starts picking more trendy places, it would be perfect. I'll let it slide this time, but next time... well, I can't say that to him. He's a graduate of a prestigious university and works for a listed company, a "relative" of mine that I'm too embarrassed to mention. Just like some food bloggers are in surprising positions, my position would also surprise everyone. I can't say more, but this box is cute. Let's try the "Sanpuroku Melon Flavor" from it. When you bring it close to your mouth, you can faintly smell melon. It's from Sanpuroku, so it can't be bad. But lately, I've been receiving these quite often. Maybe because it's melon season? And there's also "Tokachi Kono Mi" in it. I've had it a few times before, but was it always like this? Surprisingly, it wasn't that tasty.

This is a gift from a follower. Do you remember giving it to me? "Salmon jerky round" Now, Hokkaido's new ingredient "salmon jerky" is gaining attention from the culinary industry. This senbei uses salmon jerky, known for its strong umami and sweetness. The sweet and salty sauce further enhances the flavor of the salmon jerky, making it perfect for both sake and tea. I remember trying this before at work, and it seems spicier this time. I wonder if they increased the amount of red pepper. It should be just right for most people. I had two pieces on the train, and then they gave me another one. I later had five pieces at home. It was a delicious treat.

I just saw a review from a follower! My friend said, "I saw a review that mentioned 'salmon bushi' and thought it sounded great, so I bought it. But when I opened it at home to make dashi, it turned out to be senbei instead." It seems they bought it in bulk thinking it was cheap. They also mentioned that Yagizuki not only makes sweet treats like Sanpuroku, but also senbei that goes well with beer. The senbei had a strong dashi flavor. It was quite a surprise! Thank you for the laughter!
