"Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Umi to Hikari" This time, I stayed at this inn during my trip to Hakodate. This is a new hotel that just opened in July this year. It is located in the Yunokawa area. Since it has only been open for about a month, it is very clean and nice! After enjoying sightseeing spots and Hakodate gourmet upon arrival in Hakodate, I arrived at the hotel at 3:00 pm. There was a service of dango (Japanese dumplings) and amazake (sweet sake) from the long-established "Yakidango Gingetsu," which has been loved for over 40 years in Yunokawa Onsen, which was quite delightful. The room I reserved was a junior suite on a high floor. It also had a semi-open-air bath, spacious and relaxing space. Since it was just built, it was clean and had a sense of cleanliness. Immediately, I went to the bath on the top floor, and the open-air infinity bath synchronized with the sea, providing the best view. The bathtub is wide sideways, and there is a lying bath in the back, so you can relax and enjoy your time. The sea breeze is also pleasant, making it very soothing. It's a bit disappointing that there is no sauna, but after leisurely soaking in the bath, let's head to the eagerly awaited dinner. Meals are buffet style for both breakfast and dinner. There are about 150 items, including the usual dishes and fisherman's cuisine, so you can enjoy a variety of options. The standout was the kattedon (bowl of sashimi over rice) corner, which felt quite luxurious! Kanpachi, hirame, karei, negitoro, salmon, squid, snow crab, botan shrimp, flying fish roe, tarako, tsubu, kazunoko, tamagoyaki, and in addition to these, there was real sea urchin! The quality may not be that high, but real sea urchin! I've been to various hotel buffets before, but it was my first time seeing real sea urchin, quite surprising! The breakfast buffet was also rich in variety, and as usual, I ended up eating too much this time too. As for the service level... Since it's still a new hotel, there were a few instances of shortcomings here and there. From the car guidance upon arrival at the hotel to the guidance during dinner and the way alcohol was served, it felt amateurish. Since it's not a luxury hotel, there were some guests who were not very considerate, and the shared spaces were uncomfortable, which was a bit disappointing. Since it's still a new hotel, there is room for improvement in various aspects in the future. I stayed for one night and thank you for taking care of me.
