I visited a location in a residential area to avoid the crowds in the city center or tourist spots, and I was very satisfied with the high quality and delicious burgers and omurice at a reasonable price. I would definitely consider visiting again if I return to Hakodate. Next time, I would like to get takeout and enjoy a beer or highball with my meal, as this location does not serve alcohol. I chose this restaurant for a Sunday brunch. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the Kashiwagi-cho tram stop. The restaurant had one group of customers when I arrived around 10:30 am on a Sunday, but it seemed busy with takeout orders. I ordered the Lucky Cheeseburger, Lucky Potatoes, 2 pieces of fried chicken, curry omurice, and oolong tea for two people. The service was good with the staff taking orders directly at the counter. The seating area had around 32 tables and was clean. The staff, mostly veterans, were busy handling orders, especially over the phone. As for the food, the Lucky Cheeseburger was delicious with a generous amount of ingredients, while the Lucky Potatoes were a tasty side dish. The fried chicken was also a nice addition to the meal. The curry omurice was a luxurious dish that allowed me to enjoy both omurice and curry at the same time. The homemade oolong tea had a refreshing aroma that complemented the meal well.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was very charming with its old-fashioned style. It was my first time at Lucky Pierrot, so I ordered the classic Chinese Chicken Burger with cheese and egg toppings, along with Lucky Potatoes and a Guarana drink. The total came to around 1200 yen, but the Chinese Chicken Burger was delicious with its sweet and savory flavors! The Lucky Potatoes came in a mug with meat sauce, white sauce, and cheese sauce, and they were also very tasty! The Guarana drink had a Hokkaido vibe and was delicious too!

When I stopped by in front of Hokkaido University on the night of Bon Festival, there was a line of dozens of people in the 20 o'clock range. I swallowed my tears and gave up, but on my way back, I tried my luck at a place in Hakodate. It was relatively empty at this restaurant near the residential area at a late hour. There were empty seats and not many people waiting, but the operation seemed to be overwhelmed as there were overflowing dishes waiting to be cleared. I ordered the most popular Chinese Chicken Burger set. Even the toppings on the fries were delicious. The price is relatively high, but considering that there is no price competition in the chain stores in the area, I think it is a reasonable price. If I have the opportunity to visit Hakodate again, I would like to stop by. Thank you for the meal♪

I revisited the restaurant because I missed out on eating omurice last time. The main Bay Area branch and Marina Suehiro branch were very crowded, and the morning Hakodate station branch was also busy, so I went to the Matsukage branch again. This branch is still calm. This time, there was no line, so I entered without any trouble. Ordered Chinese Chicken Omurice for 830 yen. It was my fifth meal of the day, and it was a hearty omurice with a lot of calories. I wanted a taste of Hakodate, so I got it with Chinese chicken. As rumored, the omurice was large with three pieces of Chinese chicken, making it very voluminous. The thick omelette made with four eggs was fluffy, and the filling was onions and pork. I personally didn't get tired of eating it, but my friend found it too big and got tired of the taste, so they alternated between the Chinese chicken and the omurice. The big-sized omurice was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

If you go to Hakodate, I heard that the Chinese Chicken Burger (known as Chai Chiki) from Lucky Pierrot is a must-try, so I decided to visit. Since I was driving, I went to a store with a relatively large parking lot. The location seemed to attract more local customers than tourists. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Burger for 420 yen and a Lucky Galana for 160 yen. The order arrived in about 10 minutes. The burger was surprisingly large, about two sizes bigger than a certain fast food chain's burger. Inside, there was lettuce, sweet and savory fried chicken, and their original mayonnaise. The balance between the original mayonnaise and the Chinese chicken was perfect, not too sweet or overwhelming. The buns complemented the ingredients well. It was delicious! I enjoyed it so much that I ended up buying various souvenirs. After that, I walked around wearing the T-shirt I bought, and local people casually struck up conversations with me since I looked like a typical tourist. It was fun! When I go back to Hakodate, I usually stop by Lucky Pierrot. This branch is the closest to my hometown, so I have a special attachment to it. - Chinese Chicken Burger: I didn't realize they had a "matsutake" (pine mushroom) version. The combination of a richly seasoned patty with sesame buns is delicious. - Lucky Egg Burger: Another classic choice. The Chinese chicken with sweet and savory soy sauce mayo is a great combination. It used to be easier to eat, but having two Chinese Chicken Burgers is a bit heavy. - French Fries: My son happily ate the kids' hamburger without mustard and onions. Although it's not his hometown, I want to create memories for him in Hakodate. My daughter, on the other hand, what was she eating... oh no, oh no.

I stopped by Lucky Pierrot Esashi Iriguchi Mae store on the way to Hakodate during my trip in July 2022 and decided to challenge myself to visit 7 stores as part of a stamp rally. This became the 7th store I visited, marking the end of the stamp rally. Feeling a bit hungry from wandering around, I had the "Hamburger" (572 yen) here. I also ordered an "Iced Tea (S)" (221 yen) and an "Iced Coffee (S)" (109 yen). When I went to pay, suddenly a bell rang and I was told, "Congratulations! You've won the Lucky One prize!" I was handed a fan and a mini certificate. I also received a mug cup as a prize for the stamp rally. The "Hamburger Steak" with potatoes and onion rings was a nice touch. The hamburger was topped with meat sauce and white sauce, making it rich and creamy, although the taste of the meat was a bit lost. There are multiple Lucky Pierrot locations in the area, all bustling with tourists. I tried the Chicken Burger Deluxe for 470 yen + tax, which had fluffy chicken similar to fried chicken sandwiched in soft buns with a sweet sauce - it was incredibly delicious. The portion size was generous for the price. I also had an Orange Juice (S) for 170 yen + tax and a Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream (without cone) for 250 yen + tax, which was a rich and creamy vanilla flavor typical of Hokkaido soft serve. I highly recommend stopping by Lucky Pierrot when in Hakodate. Thank you for the meal.

This is Lucky Pierrot Matsukage store, located within walking distance from Goryokaku. The interior is small and it was not crowded as it was a weekday morning. I had the Lucky Chicken Burger and 2 pieces of Fried Chicken. The meat was juicy and delicious.

Hmm~? Another menu I've never seen before (*^-^*)(*^-^*) Loco Moco bowl?? And it's Chinese Chicken Loco Moco?? (What's that all about??) As usual, the food is freshly made and piping hot♪♪ The Loco Moco bowl has 4 pieces of chicken and 2 types of eggs (*￣∇￣*) The rice goes all the way down to the bottom of the bowl (raised bottom) which I've heard of before, but a lowered bottom is a first for me. The curry omurice is delicious too♪ (It was my first time having omurice with pork instead of chicken inside...☆) ...My stomach is full... ugh... so full of delicious surprises, thanks for the meal☆

The perfect way to end the day is, of course, at Lucky Pierrot. I ate a lot today, and I wonder why their Chai Chicken is so delicious. My friend even warned me that I was eating too much. "Hakodate was a great choice" In late October, we went on a 6-night, 7-day honeymoon trip to Hokkaido. We focused on trying out delicious restaurants rather than sightseeing, with a preference for classic gourmet food. We wanted to keep our weight gain to a maximum of 5kg! On our first day, we arrived in Hakodate around 2 pm. Our first meal in Hokkaido was at this restaurant, Lucky Pierrot, a local chain with 17 locations in Hakodate. They were even voted as having the best local burger in Japan! We visited the Matsuo branch, where we were greeted by a jungle-themed interior with plants and animal paintings. The staff, mostly middle-aged women, provided excellent service. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Burger and the Lucky Egg Burger, while my partner got the Lucky Cheese Burger, large fries, and a Lucky Galana drink. The Chinese Chicken Burger was like a sweet and sour chicken burger with crispy chicken and a balance of sweet, sour, and fresh flavors. The Lucky Egg Burger was like a Mos Burger with a fried egg but with a unique curry-like sauce that was so delicious I licked the wrapper clean! The fries were average, and the Lucky Galana drink had a unique flavor reminiscent of a Dr. Pepper with a syrupy twist. Overall, the food was surprisingly delicious, and the restaurant even had a self-serve water station, which was a nice touch. The menu also had interesting items like curry, omurice, and katsudon, varying by location. If I lived in Hakodate, I'd love to try all the locations!"

In Japan, it is said that there are over 100 regional burgers, and the one in Hakodate is known as "Lappi". Lappi has 17 stores mainly in Hakodate city. This time, I visited the Matsukage store. The interior of the store is designed to resemble a primeval forest. Although the Chinese Chicken Burger is the most popular, I ordered the Omelette Rice this time. It was fluffy and very filling. Flyers and discount sales are recommended points.

Visited here at 11:40 to complete a full store visit. Walked about 10 minutes from the last Goryokaku Park store to conquer 17 stores. Had a hamburger for 270 yen (excluding tax) and a small size oolong tea for 170 yen (excluding tax). Let's finish with a simple hamburger. The buns were crispy and the hamburger patty was clearly kneaded and grilled on a hot plate. This is quite a deal for 270 yen (excluding tax). It's no wonder it won the B-class gourmet gold award and is gaining popularity in Hakodate. Once you leave Hakodate, you can't have it.
