【No smoking on the premises (parking lot and car interior are OK)】Strawberry picking farm named after the owner, Mr. Eiichi ^^ Located on top of the hill at Kitahiro Sanpark! If you are coming from the south side of Kitahiroshima Station, head north on Kitahiro Street towards Eniwa, then continue on Midoriyo Street without turning, and you will see a sign! Turn right towards Kitahiro Sanpark, turn onto the agricultural road along the way, then turn right at the T-junction at the end and continue a bit further. From Route 46, you can enter the side road where Hokuriku and Kewpie factories are located near Otoebetsu Shrine, cross the railroad tracks, and climb up the hill. Once the cycling road is fully open, you can reach it directly from East Sapporo ♫ It is 4.2km from JR Kitahiroshima Station, and it takes about 30-50 minutes to walk, I guess? =========== 2015/7/9 13:00 Revisited Yesterday was for cycling in Takikawa, so today I'm in relax mode (laughs) Aiming to get some vitamins and enjoy nature for my tired skin ♫ It's about 16.6km from home, about 40 minutes by mama-chari. No customers ahead, one family group behind, and a group of young people. Due to the unpredictable weather in June, it seems like you can enjoy strawberries a bit longer this year. The types of strawberries are Kitaekubo, Kentaro, and Hokokou! Most of them are small strawberries, but the big ones are just about the size of one bite ♡ If the weather was sunny the day before, the strawberries tend to be better (・ω・) Big strawberries are often hidden under the leaves (・ω・) And the hidden strawberries are a bit cooler and delicious ♪ After about an hour of munching, it's time to move on to have lunch (・ω・) ========== 2014/7/8 11:00 First visit I happened to find this place by chance while riding my bike before ^^ Mokutan's nice place on the way to Eniwa, Chitose, and Tomakomai. Today, the weather was nice from the morning, so I came alone (・ω・) My first strawberry picking experience ♡ I was so excited yesterday that I stayed up late. It's about 15km from Shin-Sapporo, so it's a little over 30 minutes by bike ♪ It's close, isn't it? It's quick, isn't it? Since it's a weekday, there were a few customers. I parked my bike, went to the hut, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that strawberry picking and take-out were half price from today! It's nearing the end of the season, and when the temperature rises, the strawberries tend to become small. I paid 300 yen (cheap) and received a bag with stems to enter (・ω・) "Now, it's time to pick! Today, my prey is the red strawberries." Walking through the rows of strawberry fields that are lined up, I search for the strawberries that Mokutan will eat! The BGM in my head is Terminator. Ah, I found a cute one ♪ *chomp* *munch* Sweet and sour (・ω・) They are smaller than the ones sold in stores, but they are delicious ♪ The taste of freshly picked ones is completely different from those sold in packs! Then, I repeated the actions of walking, squatting, and eating while being careful of heatstroke. Both strawberries and tomatoes taste better when freshly picked, even though the sugar content is lower. When the bag was about 2/3 full with stems, I was satisfied! I returned to the hut, separated the plastic bag and stems, thanked the staff, and said, "Let's go!" I got on my bike feeling like Terminator, said the famous line, and off I went (・ω・) Next year, I'll come earlier and eat big strawberries, and I'll come back again this season to make jam as a take-home treat (・ω・) Lesson learned today: Picking is really fun♪
