【Takeout】A butcher shop a little away from the station area in Kitahiroshima City^^ The location of the shop is just a few minutes' walk from JR Kitahiroshima Station, about 40 meters towards Ebetsu from the T-shaped intersection with Chuo Street along the Ebetsu-Eniwa Line (Hokkaido Route 46). They have a stamp card where you get one stamp for every 500 yen spent. Accumulate 30 stamps and get a 500 yen discount. No expiration date.

On May 24, 2022, at 3:30 pm, revisited the shop. I had to cancel my cycling trip to Iwamizawa in the morning due to the cold weather. After having breakfast and lunch at Gusto, I took a nap at home. When I woke up, it was already 1 pm. The spring breeze in the morning had turned into a sudden summer wind. So, I decided to cycle to Eniwa Station, which took about 1 hour and 7 minutes to arrive. On the way back, I stopped by this butcher shop to buy some meat. I got some pork stomach, which is not seasoned, so I seasoned it myself with salt, pepper, and sake, and let it sit for about an hour. Then, I just had to grill it. The meat had a different texture and taste in various parts, which made it enjoyable till the end. The fresh meat had no unpleasant smell. They also sell frozen pork sagari, which I can stock up on. I usually don't like sagari that is about 5-7mm thick, but the ones from here were delicious. I found the natural sweetness and flavor of the meat very appealing. I ended up needing more rice than usual because it was so good. I love this butcher shop and will definitely visit again.

I found this place on my way back from the Yamaoka Family Kitahiroshima store (I didn't notice it on my way there because I was in a hurry). It looked like a butcher shop? I couldn't see inside the store... After wandering around a bit, I decided to go in. There was a customer shopping inside, and it seemed like they sold things other than meat as well. For some reason, you can also drink cold water here. I bought a few items for dinner: beef sagari (300g), small cuts of meat (300g), and umakara hormon (200g). They took the meat from the refrigerated showcase, wrote it down on a memo by hand, and packed it in the back. They only accepted cash. The total was 1799 yen including tax. I cooked the umakara hormon with onions in a frying pan. It was small enough to almost fall through the grill. It had a sweet and spicy miso flavor, so I added shichimi pepper to it. I seasoned the sagari and small cuts of meat with salt and pepper before cooking them in a pan. My husband, who can't tell the difference, at 600g of meat in one go and said, "This isn't supermarket meat." He mentioned that he might buy it when we have a BBQ at his parents' house in Chitose. So, we might visit again.

On the way back from a trip to Ebetsu, I stopped by a yakitori restaurant called "Ta-bo" that I had been curious about before. I ended up buying some hormone meat from their main store (?). I got the "salt flavor" (223g for 290 yen) and "leek salt lemon flavor" (211g for 316 yen). When I got home, I stir-fried them with bean sprouts. The salt hormone had a nice saltiness without any unpleasant smell, and had a good texture - it was delicious! As for the leek salt lemon hormone, as soon as I started stir-frying it, a strong leek smell filled the air. When I tasted it, the lemon fragrance was strong and the refreshing acidity was also enjoyable - it was quite delicious too! I plan to grill them over charcoal in the garden when it gets warmer, so I'll definitely come back here to buy more hormone meat. Thank you, "Ryochiku"!
