Kabato Seimenjo in Tobetsu Town is worth the half-day trip for their Hokkaido-style udon noodles. Despite initially planning to save money and skip breakfast, the temptation of udon won out. The restaurant was surprisingly empty when I arrived, allowing me to choose from the menu without waiting in line. I debated between the classic kake udon or the tempura, but ended up ordering both along with a second bowl of kamatama udon. The freshly made noodles were chewy and delicious, and the tempura with asparagus was crispy and flavorful. The only downside was the slow service despite having many staff members. Nevertheless, the food was worth the wait and I left feeling satisfied. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be.

I had a delicious bowl of udon with two servings of cold noodles topped with egg, white eggplant, and mushrooms. The noodles were firm and smooth, comparable to those in Kagawa. The tempura was large, crispy, and juicy. Unfortunately, the salad chikuwa and hiratake were sold out, so I chose the white eggplant instead, which was incredibly creamy. It was a great experience enjoying the udon under the blue sky.

This is my third visit to Kabato Seimenjo. This time, I decided to try the oil udon, which I don't usually order. I also ordered a few tempura items, including two types of eggplant, which are said to lower body temperature. Udon eaten outside really does taste delicious. I think next time I'll go for a simple soy sauce udon.

In the countryside of Tobetsu-cho, there is a popular udon restaurant that always has a long line. When I visited around 2 pm, the line was not too bad (about 20 people), so I sat on a bench and waited. After about 30 minutes, I entered the restaurant, placed my order, received a number tag, and took a seat. I had to wait another 30 minutes until my number was called. The thick udon noodles were smooth and chewy, and the grated daikon radish and nameko mushrooms were delicious. The cold udon was especially satisfying in the hot weather. The variety of tempura toppings was popular, with many people choosing multiple kinds. I selected the classic chicken, my favorite shungiku (edible chrysanthemum), and the recommended long eggplant. The crispy and juicy tempura had a rustic and hearty flavor that was very tasty. I had been at a golf competition in Ishikari early in the morning, and since I rarely visit that area lately, I decided to try the famous "Honke Nakamura" in Taibi, Tobetsu-cho for their tail ramen, but they were already closed by 1:30 pm. So, I ended up going to "Kabato Udon Seimenjo" for the first time in a while.

It was a popular restaurant, so I decided to visit when I passed by the neighborhood. Since it was just after opening, there were only about 5 people in line. I ordered bukkake udon and a tempura set (kakiage, chicken, mochi). I paid at the counter and waited for my order to be ready. After about 10 minutes, my order was ready and I was called to pick it up. The udon had a good chewy texture and the broth was delicious. The tempura, especially the chicken and mochi, was tasty. The kakiage was huge and filling. The only thing that bothered me was that the kakiage seemed undercooked in the center, probably because it was too big.

I visited "Kabato Seimenjo" on August 18th. I visit this place irregularly, but this was my first visit this year. I arrived at 11:20 AM on a weekday and found a line of about 20 people already waiting. It was a hot day with clear skies, and about half of the people in line had brought umbrellas. After waiting for about 40 minutes, I placed my order. Some of the tempura items were already sold out. I ordered the "kake" udon (regular, cold) for 400 yen, mini tempura rice bowl for 200 yen, and chicken tempura for 160 yen. The menu also included "bukkake" udon (regular, cold) for 400 yen, with chicken tempura for 160 yen, enoki mushroom tempura for 200 yen, and "shin-niku miso tantan udon" for 730 yen, with chikuwa tempura for 130 yen, enoki mushroom tempura for 200 yen, and shrimp tempura for 160 yen. Unfortunately, the mega burdock tempura and beef steak rice bowl were sold out when I tried to order. The competition was fierce. I received number 39 and secured a seat while waiting. I learned for the first time that there were prefab seats outside. Since the prefab seats were full, I sat in a spot with direct sunlight. After about 20 minutes, my number was called, and I was able to enjoy my meal. This was my first time trying the kake udon, and it was a new experience for me. It had seaweed in it, which was different from the bukkake udon I usually order. The green onions were cut into small pieces and there were condiments like ginger and tenkasu to add at the table. The udon cost 400 yen without any additional toppings, making it very cost-effective. The freshly made udon was delicious, with a strong chewy texture. Overall, it was a great meal.

I heard rumors that this restaurant was delicious, so I decided to visit while checking out the new Royce factory. It was lunchtime and there were a few groups waiting in line, but the wait wasn't too long. They had a wide variety of tempura options, so I got excited and ordered several kinds, but I ended up ordering too much... haha. The tempura batter was thick... On the other hand, the udon was incredibly delicious. Next time, I'll just stick to the udon. Thank you for the meal. ᐟ.ᐟ

I arrived at the restaurant about 35 minutes before it opened and there were already 3 groups waiting in line. Despite that, they opened the restaurant about 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. I ordered cold udon with butter, bukkake style, and grated yam, along with a variety of tempura. I may have ordered too much, including basil tempura, quail tempura, and salad chikuwa tempura. I was surprised by the size of the basil tempura, but it was crispy and had a delicious basil flavor. Although I felt like my stomach was going to burst from the generous portions, I was very satisfied with the udon restaurant. I definitely want to come back!

On my second visit to this restaurant, I finally made it with my daughter during the summer holidays. We had to wait in line for about 20 people, but it was expected. While waiting, I looked through photos on Tabelog to decide on what to order. Despite the hot weather, I ended up ordering the hot Kamatama udon instead of the cold one. The tempura options were limited due to a customer before me buying out the gobou tempura, so I went with the recommended eggplant, potato salad-filled chikuwa tempura, and broccoli. My daughter ordered the chilled bukkake udon with quail egg and pumpkin tempura. The freshly made chewy noodles were delicious, and the tempura was crispy. We ate while sweating profusely. I will definitely visit again!

Second visit. Last time, I had to wait for an hour, but had to give up just before entering due to my next appointment. This time, I arrived at 10 a.m., one hour before opening. There wasn't a long line yet, but I queued up. They opened early, around 10:30 a.m. I was lucky. The udon noodles had a good texture and were quite filling, but I finished them in no time. Thank you for the meal.

On a hot day, I went for a drive to have some udon noodles. I wanted to avoid waiting in line at the popular restaurant, so I arrived a bit earlier than opening time. However, the restaurant was already open. It seems they sometimes open early. Thanks to arriving early, I was able to order udon without waiting in line. Due to the scorching summer days, I opted for cold udon since the restaurant had no air conditioning. The photo shows the udon noodles with grated mushroom and a side of green pepper tempura and bamboo ring tempura (which had potato salad inside). The udon noodles had a chewy texture, but they were lukewarm, not cold. Perhaps it was because of the high temperature. Even so, the udon was tasty. I added a bit of the soy sauce broth provided on the table since the sauce was lightly drizzled. The tempura batter was a bit on the heavier side. Overall, it was delicious, but if asked if I would go out of my way from Sapporo to visit again, I might only return if I had other business nearby. As I left, although it was still before noon, a small line had started to form outside the restaurant.

I went to eat at a restaurant I usually pass by on weekends and see a long line, so this time I went on a weekday. I arrived just after 11 o'clock, but there were already a lot of people waiting in line. I waited for about 30 minutes to place my order at the counter. After receiving a number tag, I waited a few more minutes until my order was called. I started eating about 40 minutes after lining up. It took about an hour from entering the restaurant to leaving. I had cold udon noodles with 2 servings of noodles. The noodles were thick and chewy. I had a hard time choosing which tempura to eat - whether to have chicken, eggplant, or a mix. The chicken tempura had a good flavor and was very juicy. The eggplant tempura had a delicious flavor from the eggplant. It had been a while since I had eggplant tempura, but I want to eat it again. I thought it was worth lining up again to eat there.

I went to the restaurant about 5 minutes after it opened, so I was able to order relatively smoothly. I ordered the cold bukkake noodles with two servings. For toppings, I chose tempura with mixed vegetable and shrimp. The tempura was more filling than it appeared, so please be aware of that. The taste was delicious, of course.

I was looking forward to having Bukkake Udon, but it takes time and it was hot, so I decided to order cold udon with onsen tamago topping and a few pieces of tempura. The menu had so many options that I ended up taking a while to choose. Next time, I want to try a different type of udon. 😊

I arrived at 12 o'clock. There was already a long line around the shop. Don't underestimate udon! I waited for 2 hours. I ended up ordering almost all the types of tempura because my head was spinning. It was my second visit, the first time was before it got hot, but this time in July, the udon was lukewarm. It's understandable due to the season, but I really think delicious udon should be served hot, so I would rate it 3.5 stars, but it's really a 4.0. I want to go again before it gets hot. The tempura is still delicious as always.

The shop was always crowded and famous, but I finally managed to visit. When I arrived, there were about 20 people waiting in line, but the staff were efficient and I was able to order in less than 20 minutes. The food arrived in about 5 minutes, so the wait didn't feel too long. I ordered two servings of cold noodles with spring onions, chicken, and a half-cooked egg tempura. The tempura had a thin coating, and the noodles were chewy with a good broth. The tempura was large and delicious, and I could either dip it in the broth or sprinkle it with pink rock salt on the table. The texture was not too slippery, more like a fluffy sensation (a mix of Ise udon and Sanuki udon), and it was delicious. The portion was quite generous, but as a noodle lover, I finished it all in no time.

Kabato Seimenjo. I ordered the limited edition Nameko Oroshi Udon with 2 servings of broccoli and hiratake mushrooms. The udon was delicious as always! The wait in line can be long, but it's definitely worth it. I enjoyed the meal very much. I will visit again.

Around 12 o'clock, I arrived. I lined up as usual, but it seemed like the shortest wait time I've experienced so far. I ordered the Kamaage Udon, which costs 580 yen (tax included). It comes with udon noodles cooked in boiling water and a warm dipping sauce. The noodles were soft and smooth, and the dipping sauce had a refreshing and sharp flavor. I also enjoyed a variety of tempura, including Wasabi Greens for 150 yen (tax included) and Squid Tempura for 420 yen (tax included). The Wasabi Greens, sourced from Tobetsu, had a mild spiciness that left me wanting more. The Squid Tempura was piled high and the tender squid made it a satisfying dish. I paired everything with salt, the dipping sauce for the Kamaage Udon, and the soy sauce on the table, and I didn't get tired of eating until the end.

I have been here many times! I have never had udon and tempura as delicious as here. The udon is chewy and has a firm texture, and I especially love the cold bukkake udon. The tempura is crispy starting from the tempura flakes, and it tastes delicious. It's great that you can eat seasonal vegetables at that time. My favorite is definitely the asparagus.

Tsubetsu Town Kabato Seimenjo is a place that I always feel like coming back to every year. Finally made it here this year too. Came before opening time but there were already over 10 people waiting. ◆Order - Torotama-chan - Kama butter - Bukkake, one each - Tempura: eggplant (120), broccoli (160), quail (150), shiitake mushrooms (200), long green pepper (90), basil (140) ◆Impressions The udon noodles with a nice firm texture are really delicious, so we ended up ordering 3 servings for two people. Ate it all up!! We also ordered extra tempura because it's so tasty, and finished it all too. Very satisfied. Even though you know you have to wait, you still crave the udon and tempura here. Just writing about it is making me crave it again. Thank you for the delicious meal. Thank you very much♪
