When hopping around 10 places in a day, it's common to miss out on reviewing some places. And so, in the Sapporo Racecourse series, one place was missed out. The place visited was "Long Shot" located towards the back from the first-floor gate, with good ventilation. Looking at the menu, they offered dishes like pork belly bowl, fried chicken, french fries, and hot dogs. Already having eaten a lot, I opted for a beer at the counter. The beer was served promptly, with fine bubbles and at the right temperature, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will be going to the racecourse again this weekend (I keep saying this, but I don't bet on horses).

JR Sapporo Racecourse has been renovated since 2012. In 2013, there were no races held in Sapporo due to the renovation, so the racecourse was closed. On July 26, 2014, JR Sapporo Racecourse reopened after the renovation. At that time, the restaurant "Long Shot" also opened. This restaurant is located in the Kuwazon area of Chuo Ward, Sapporo, along the passage on the first floor of the JRA Sapporo Racecourse stand. You can check the exact location of the restaurant on Tabelog. The restaurant operates in a stand style, where customers return to their seats after ordering. The main dishes are the "Pork Belly Bowl" and the "Scallop Cooked Rice". Other items on the menu include "Fried Chicken", "Edamame", "French Fries", and "Draft Beer". I had the "Pork Belly Bowl" for breakfast. The pork used is from Rusutsu and has a good quality, but the meat was a bit dry and lacked juiciness. The flavor was decent, and it came with pickled ginger. The price is 600 yen (including 8% consumption tax). The "Pork Belly Bowl" uses pork from Rusutsu, so the quality of the meat is quite good. It was a bit disappointing that the good quality meat was a bit dry. However, even when cold, it wasn't greasy and had a decent flavor. I would like to try the "Scallop Cooked Rice" next time. It was a delicious meal.

Welcome! There is a shop in the middle of the 1st floor of the JRA Sapporo Racecourse in the Kuwanazono area of Chuo Ward. There is a long line and it's a bit dirty, but I bravely faced it to try the popular pork belly bowl. The pork belly is made from the delicious black, red, and white pork from Niikappu. It's a generous serving and very tasty. There are many affordable light meals that children will enjoy, and the pork belly bowl is perfect for enjoying with drinks. There are also foreigners trying to speak Japanese with English conversation books. I waited until 1 pm for the pork belly bowl to be restocked, and when it finally arrived, it was delicious. I enjoyed it while watching the race outside. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the sauce was light and slightly sweet. I wish they would offer a half portion option as well. The price of 500 yen is very reasonable considering the quality. The pork belly bowl performance does not disappoint, just like the food court. The pigs must be happy with their performance. Finito! Thank you for the delicious meal.
